Make no mistake, this is a hotel fit for a princess, prince or both. The interiors and setting alone set it apart from your bog standard 4/5 star hotel. Add the most lovely, kind, thoughtful and down to earth staff, who go out of their way to add to and improve your stay, and this has first class written all over it!! I personally am a retuning guest and my other half was his first time. We were equally impressed and will be back!!!!
It's not so much didn't like, but in places the rooms show sign of wear and tear. To be honest, in the majority of cases this adds to the shabby chic charm, but in some cases, worn bar chairs as an example, some reholstering or replacement would add something more.

Stunning decor and our room had a huge ensuite. Beds were really comfy. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast service was a little slow but delicious when it arrived. Beautiful and stunning backdrop to the most amazing views. Our first ever visit to Anglesey and the weather was great too! Drawback for us: attic bedroom with no blackout blind so sun streaming in in the morning but we shouldn't complain about the rarity of the golden globe! Also, I think our room needed some touch ups on the walls where the paint was scuffed. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this gorgeous hotel!

The lady at reception was very helpful. we didnt want a cooked lunch so the lady asked the chef about sandwiches and we had beef sandwiches and some extras.Lovely. The room was beautiful and the veiw was breathtaking . Evening meal was soo quiet that we were the only dinners in . All staff were very attentive . Breakfast was very good.Because Ihave heart problems the receptionist reserved a parking spot at the main entrance. Would recommend to anyone to stay . The lounges are so relaxing.
Only having the sunday roast menu for both lunch and evening on the sunday . A choice off al a cart menu would have been better .

Breakfast was good 👍 staff were lovely especially Erica & Lisandra food in the bar was great & the food in the restaurant was outstanding 😁 fantastic views over the Menai to the mountains beyond. The bottle of Prosecco put in our room for our anniversary was a lovely touch thank you 😊
The room was a tad tired looking with an obvious leak in the roof which made the carpet wet & the radiators didn’t heat up properly hence felt cold in the room

The experience to stay in a lovely Chateau is enough but the service and the most lovely staff made our stay special. We stayed in a Suite Room 2, this room is special with a round bed which was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom is large. A few stairs to walk up but there is a lift as well. Great view from windows either side. The restaurant food was great, the breakfast choices was excellent, there was a few options of cooked food and there was fresh fruit bowl, cereals and toast available to help yourself to. If you are booking for the High Tea, let me tell you this is so much food and so filling, we couldn't manage any dinner after this. It is very special having a High Tea in such a gorgeous setting.

two of us stayed in the coach house which can accommodate 6 people. the price seems expensive for two but represents very good value if several couples stay. The coach house is separate from the main building and has stunning views over the Menai Straights. The three rooms are all a decent size, very comfortable and well equipped, there is also a large lounge area, dining room and good sized kitchen. Although it is self catering, it is possible to book meals in the hotel (which we did). The food is exceptional in rooms with equally stunning views over the Menai Straights. Can't wait to get back to Anglesey and stay there again, highly recommended!

We love the chateaux, it's one of our favourite places to go for a special night, especially when the weather was as good as it was. Each room has it's very own distinct character so your never disappointed with the room that you book.
The only small thing was that there didn't seem to be enough staff for breakfast and we're waiting for at least 15mins for coffee and toast wasn't quite enough full breakfast either, could probably have done with a bit more! But apart from that everything was wonderful. Evening meal was lovely, the food on offer was stunning! Couldn't fault it.

All the staff where very friendly and the breakfasts were well cooked and presented. The room was big and the shower was clean and tidy.
Trying to find in the dark, went in the wrong entrance as we were in the chateau, not the lodge. And ended up carrying my suitcase up lots of steps, if you spot the sign for the lodge go a little further on for the chateau entrance, it's flat and so much easier. Also the shower has room for a seat, that would be much appreciated for all guests not just the older clientèle.

Excellent food and friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
Beware it is on a very steep slope for parking and walking to your room.

Everything about the place was amazing from walking into the building to the staff . The decor is fitting with the building and character - lots of unknown little areas to find . The rooms are perfect for relaxing in . We stayed in the Duchess suite such a beautiful room which was spacious and a huge comfortable bed . We had a view overlooking the menai strait and watched the sky change colour. The rooms were cleaned daily and towels changed . For an old building it was surprisingly warm - loved the open fire on entering the place. We had the afternoon tea in the drawing room with a perfect view of the Menai ! You can wander around the Chateau and be amazed at the way this beautiful building was designed. The staff were very friendly and made sure you were looked after . If you love old buildings this is a must to stay at. We will definitely be back !
The only thing I could comment on would be a more varied meal menu and the option of later eating in the bar and grill.
