Good breakfast and dinner

More attention to cleanliness in a tired room with cracked tiles and flaking paint in bathroom and bedroom. Grubby and certainly not 5 star. Sound proofing poor, only 1 small window opened which was head height from outside this not private.

Chateau Rhianfa is an amazing building in a stunning location. But it's more than that, it feels like a dreamy home from home. For five nights, we stayed in the main building so can't say what the lodge etc is like. The room we were in was small but very convenient for breakfast and had all we needed. The shower was built into a turret and was enormous and lush! The lounges are gorgeous and the winter balcony in the music room became a favourite place to watch the water. The staff aren't lovely - not just efficient, they are natural. No one's operating off a script. Big thanks to housekeeping who popped in while we had breakfast every day, so seamless it was like the fairies had been in. So many hotels are stuffy hot - this one is airy and the windows actually open, making for a good night's sleep. Breakfast options off the menu were interesting and excellent, with standard full Welsh available from the buffet. All in all, we were really quite sad to leave both Anglesey, which is stunning, and this hotel.

The front car park by reception is a bit challenging and it's a dicey exit onto a fairly fast road. We found the additional parking is easier. Dinner is £70 a head, which we didn't stay for as that was a tad over our budget. I would have preferred one or two more tea bag options in the room but it gave us an excuse to order a fancy pot of tea upstairs so hey ho!

This place is incredible in EVERY aspect --- we had a small group stay here in 2024 and returned with another group in August 2025. This time we added a Murder Mystery Party on our second night in the Parlor. The staff was tremendous in helping us with details. We dressed up for dinner -- again the staff (and the other guests) had fun with us looking very out of place but set for our event. The grounds, the interior of the building, the staff, the food--- a favorite of our trip.

the only negative in our room was the bathrooom door was not able to close properly. The bathroom was HUGE -- but the door was not able to close completely.

The rooms were very unique, the bar and seating areas were lovely and the views were stunning!

Breakfast has to be the worst I’ve ever had in a hotel, particularly one that came with such high ratings (and price). I tried to order some eggs off the menu only to be told that everything was available on the buffet. The buffet itself was poorly stocked, with guests hovering to wait for fresh sausages, hash browns, black pudding, eggs etc to be brought out. The bread that was available was just cheap sliced bread. This was disappointing as the hotel restaurant was very highly rated, so I had high expectations. I was however thankful we didn’t eat in the restaurant if it turned out to be the same “quality”

A beautiful setting the chateau was elegant loved the sitting rooms with many details to soak in and spectacular views of the menai straight. The breakfast was great with a good choice of items on the buffet and able to order off of the menu. The rooms were comfortable and the turrett shower amazing and the staff were extremely friendly especially the receptionist on the 25th & 26th June.

A choice of food in the day such as a bar menu would have improved the experience and unfortunately the restaurant is far too over priced for evening meal a cheaper option in the evening would have been welcome.

The hotel itself was magnificent. The views, the garden, the interior — simply incredible. It was my first time staying at such a hotel, and we liked it very, very much. Our cottage was also very comfortable, but the rooms were quite stuffy and hot due to the weather outside. It was very hot outside, and of course, the hotel rooms are not designed for such heat.

Probably the only downside was that on the day of my arrival, which was also my birthday, the hotel staff didn’t acknowledge it at all — they didn’t congratulate me, send a card, or even offer a bottle of wine. That was quite disappointing.

Everything is stunning. Picture a National Trust property that you can stay in for days. We hope to return for a longer stay next year for our Anniversary.

Just 1 meal my preference everything else is beautiful. Lack of signage from additional parking to reception & the many steps throughout the entire property many uneven & no rails. Use the drop off area at reception & then park car in additional parking or your in for a long walk with luggage & little signage to gain bearings. There is no disabled parking.

We stayed in the Rhianfa Lodge room with a sea view. The room was comfortable with great views across to the Menai Straits overlooking the Gardens. Stayed B&B and dined in the Hotel for Breakfast, great choice at Breakfast. Beautiful Hotel and grounds down to the sea. A perfect location. Would recommend Afternoon Tea! The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly! We had a great time and would love to return.

The parking near the Lodge was on a slope and the road surface needed levelling. We didn't let it spoil our stay though!

Outstanding building with exceptional views. The gardens was beautiful, the architecture inside and outside was breath taking. Plenty of history surrounding the hotel, and lots of antiques within. Definitely recommend..The only issue is when I booked it made me believe I was booking the hotel not the lodges externally. I only booked for the hotel stay, so when advertising maybe they should state the stay will not be in the hotel rooms but rather the lodge outside. Next time as I will return I will demand a hotel room instead as thats what is advertised, it seemed as though everyone was placed in the lodge too as several couples was staying whilst we was there The staff was lovely and always polite with plenty of smiles. The whole stay was memorable I highly recommend. Only issue like I said was not staying in the hotel.itself. Lodge room was clean and bed was comfy. Just not the room I wanted.

False advertising on what room you will get.

Stunning location, gorgeous gardens, loved the decor in the morning/ music rooms, charming terraces. Delicious breakfast, very hospitable staff, lovely selection of books and games, appreciated the Loccitane toiletries.

Some of the furniture in the coach house is torn and dilapidated. All rooms don’t have mirrors. One that does is too low and needs a bench/ stool to go with it. Not a single full length mirror in the property. Found an iron stand but no iron- by the time we’d worked this out it was too late to get one from reception. No obvious way to call/ get in touch with reception from Coach house without physically walking out and across the property. Could also be improved by providing room Slippers.
