Beautiful location and views. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Food & drink was excellent. Bathroom was excellent, but far bigger than it needed to be. Extra space in the bedroom would have been appreciated.

Bed wasn't the most comfortably, with creaky springs every time we moved. No bedside table on one side, and clothes hangers over the TV, so any long clothing would obscure the TV.

Location and views are stunning

Access from hotel car park (when the one on the foreshore is full) is down some steep steps so carrying bags can be difficult and dangerous, especially in the rain or the dark. It is recommended that information is supplied in the booking to explain that even if the foreshore park is full then drop off of bags and those with poor mobility is done at the hotel door.

The location was great, but the directions we had actually took us a bit nearer to Menai Bridge. We rung the hotel and they managed to direct us to their car park. Staff was very accommodating, they have always managed to find a table for us for dinner. Great choice of food and drinks for dinner and breakfast as well. Bathroom was beautiful with nice toiletries and good shower. Very serene setting, peaceful and quiet. Probably even better to enjoy on a week day.

The walls are quite thin and on the first night we had a noisy neighbours, so we could not sleep. Not much walks around on foot so it’s better if you drive to get to places.

Awesome location and the view was amazing. The hotel have enough facilities and not over crowded to enjoy a relaxing holiday. The restaurant serves fantastic selection of foods that taste fresh, delicious, with good portion and of great value too. With the bar that have good selection of drinks to unwind at the end of the day. Our room ( Room 10) was clean, spacious , great view and by far the best room we had of all our holidays in UK. However, the best part are the staff of the hotel. Everyone are friendly, polite, approachable and professional. Most especially to the gentleman ( sorry , we forgot his name -he looks like Bob Marley😊) who went above and beyond in accommodating us for breakfast although it was almost 10am. We truly appreciate the effort and really made a difference in enjoying our stay. He is indeed a great asset to the team. Hopefully, we can come back again in the future. Once again thank you very much.

I loved the location and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Also the ambience, the restaurant and quality of food and service. It was delightful. The room was clean and comfortable as was the bed. Would definitely recommend this place.

The pillows could have been better/updated. The bathroom was modern and clean but the electric shower was difficult to operate. I found the water temperature to be either scalding or cold and couldn't find a comfortable temperature to have a proper shower. The lighting could be improved in the bedroom. There was a side wall lamp as well as a central light but it was awkward to access the switches for these, from the bed.

The hotel is in a beautiful, quiet location overlooking the straits. The bedroom and bathroom were nicely and newly decorated with everything you'd need for a comfortable stay. We had a tasty meal in the restaurant and the staff were very friendly.

We definitely would have given the hotel a much higher rating if we'd been warm. We had to ask a couple of times for the heating to be put on in our room in the evening. It was eventually turned on for a couple of hours but wasn't on in the morning which was pretty miserable. It wasn't on in the dining room in the evening or for breakfast.

set right on the waters edge at the Menai straits opposite Bangor pier the rooms looked as though they had been refurbish recently and the en suite were to a very high standard the food was too a vey high standard both breakfast and diner very popular people came down for meals both my wife and I feel although its advertised as Hotel its more like a pub with rooms still very nice

steep narrow road to access , seemed to be staffed by students who where very pleasant but seemed to lack experience distinct lack of overhaul management and a disorganised

We love this hotel having already stayed previously in February - we couldn’t wait to visit in the summer! The location is amazing - stunning sea view whilst in bed & this time also whilst sat on the loo also!! ( room 2) Breakfast delicious - high quality & well cooked. We also booked & ate our evening meal onsite which was very good. We enjoyed the little outside bar area in the afternoon too - Lovely art display from a local artist - we actually treated ourselves to an original painting too!

Nothing not to like although there was a lot of intermittent noise from water cistern when being used elsewhere - this was annoying during the night but it didn’t spoil our stay !

Evening food, drinks and breakfast were excellent, as was the service. The location was outstanding. The waitress even carried my breakfast and coffee outside so I could enjoy it by the waters edge ! A stunning place to stay.

We were in the annexe family room. The hallway towards our door was dirty which felt unwelcoming and the lock was faulty on the door. The room and bathroom were clean but an air freshener had been plugged in which was totally overpowering and unpleasant. We were cold at times and there was no tea, biscuits or hair conditioner. Also in the middle of the night, someone used the bathroom in the room next door. The tap/water noise was so loud it woke us up in fright!

Location stunning right at the edge of the straits. Very picturesque. Food was delicious in restaurant. Pleasant staff. Lovely bar amd tange of drinks plenty of choice.

Parking not explained fully in description as there is a residential car park - down a steep hill past the first turning - only found out after husband struggled down steep steps with suitcase! Luckily locals pointed this out to us. Menu is limited (obviously focused on seafood) disappointing no steaks on menu at all. Rooms all on second floor steep stairs no lift. No mention of this when booking. Room basic for the price paid. Comfortable but heard all drainage water and cistern filling when any other rooms flushed toilet or ran water.
