All the staff here are exceptional, always smiling and ready to help with anything, they really make you feel that you are important. The breakfast was very good, lots of cold to choose from and a very large and perfectly cooked full English. (Sorry Gavin Welsh!) We ate dinner here for 4 nights and the meals were great, the portions are enormous so beware lol. The drinks at the bar were amazing value. Our room was small with just a skylight window but we did know this as we had booked late and it was the last room left. Our bed was also a small double but was comfortable. Bathroom was a good size and clean. Also being able to park on site was a big bonus. It’s VERY dog friendly which was perfect for us and our pooch. Would definitely come again but would book early and get one of the bigger rooms with the sea view. Well done Gavin Steven and staff. Good job. Jackie and Steve Evans

Had a wonderful stay, sleep really well and view onto the beach and sea was spectacular from our room. Hugely dog-friendly place. Gavin and his team made it an incredible stay. Friendly, efficient, we left as friends. A real home from home. We came to North Wales to scatter my parents’ ashes, Gavin was aware of this and gave me some poppy seeds to scatter as well. What a touching and kind, thoughtful thing to do which I massively. Thank you. We’ll be back soon x
Room just needed a little TLC; new shower seal, the odd paint touch-ups, matching hangers maybe. None of this deflected from a fantastic stay though.

The location was great and just a short drive to get to see other areas. Evening food menu has good choices... I recommend the Gladstone burger, a fabulous looking beef burger really tasty too but a little expensive. A full Welsh breakfast in the morning was also delicious. Staff are friendly and polite Room has a mountain view ( but only if you stand on a chair to see out the window)
Room 3 problems..The TV is too high on the wall and cannot watch it properly. Plus, it is old and not modern. The bathroom has a few issues.....bath panel loose and comes away. Bath needs new sealant around it. Towel holder and rail both loose on wall. Toilet seat also loose. The two windows don't lock at all. The radiator doesn't work but there is an electric heater. The towel radiator in bathroom is old and rusty and needs replacing. The main ceiling light doesn't work. The mirror is on the wrong wall and should be on the wall by the dressing table. The bed mattress is too soft and not comfortable.

The Gladstone is a lovely place to stay if you're visiting Conwy. The pub side has plenty of space, a great selection of drinks, and a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The accommodation is really nice, with tastefully appointed rooms and good facilities. The breakfast was brilliant, and the views of the mountains and the bay were stunning. Although we didn't eat there that evening, the food we saw coming out to guests looked delicious. Also, Gavin, who welcomed us, was superb! We hadn't managed to find anywhere in Conwy on the day of our arrival (Saturday) with space for 2 people for dinner around 7.30pm. Gavin offered to try and sort something for us and went out of his way to call round a number of places and got us a booking at the castle hotel in the town, which was spot on. This personal touch on a busy Saturday was hugely appreciated. We are so glad we stayed - thank you for making our trip so good!
Nothing, this was a great place to stay and the staff were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble and I'd recommend the Galdstone as a lovely place to stay

We loved everything - from our first meeting with Gavin to our last goodbye with Gavin! Beautiful building, fabulous sea view, and four poster bed. The bar was full of locals, which was a good sign to us. We'd booked for dinner and it was delicious. Pan fried sea bass with a white wine sauce. Desserts, well. Hubby had a jaffa cake sundae, I had frozen cherry Eton mess. Superb. The room had a bath and a shower, so we were both happy. Breakast was perfect. A full Welsh breakfast. Tasty sausage, fresh mushrooms and gorgeous black pudding. All of the staff were very friendly and efficient. Gavin does a great front of house job, and I believe the fabulous chef is his husband. An excellent team altogether. We'll definitely be going back.
One night wasn't enough!

The common areas were inviting. Parking was included. The owners and staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Food was good. The location overlooking the sea was very nice.
Our room was very small, there was only about 18” between the wall and the foot of the bed. Water in the shower would change temperature, it would be warm, then you’d get a sudden cold blast. WiFi was unreliable and would drop out frequently. Overall though, for a short visit the pluses outweighed the negatives.

We had a wonderful stay at The Gladstone. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. The breakfast was absolutely delicious each morning — a perfect start to the day. It was also fantastic to find somewhere so dog friendly; our border collie, Bobby was made to feel just as welcome as we were! The Gladstone was a great base for exploring North Wales — we’d definitely stay again.

Owner and staff were all very nice, friendly and welcoming - and our dog was very welcome too. Bar was nice, cooked breakfast was excellent and nice selection of teas and coffee in the room. Location just out of town was good and it was also easy and safe to take the dog on quick morning and night time walks into the local village.
Shower was a little tricky to adjust but overall our room was very comfy.

Great location for reaching the places on our itinerary (Penrhyn Castle, Snowdon, Bodnant Gardens). A very welcoming establishment. Wonderful view from our room across Conwy Bay towards Anglesey and Puffin Island (we were blessed with the best weather). Fine ales available in the bar. Good food. Staff provided tourist information that made us wish we had more time to explore.
Nothing comes to mind

This adorable inn had fantastic, helpful staff, beautiful views and was a great location for exploring several areas on our itinerary in North Wales. The pub had great outdoor seating. The included breakfast was incredible and we enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant there as well - we were lucky enough to be there for steak night! The staff were amazing - from suggestions for off-the-beaten-path dinner locales, directions for our hikes and helping us move rooms after a plumbing issue, I couldn't have asked for better!
