Johnny Dough's has an excellent location. It is right next to the Conwy Castle and and the quay. It is within easy walking distance of the train station and bus stops. There is a very nice variety of restaurants in the area.The seafood chowder at Dylan's was excellent. Don't pass up the opportunity to enjoy some delicious pizza at Johnny Dough's. The goat cheese pizza and the side salad went beyond our expectations! Also a breakfast of fresh fruit, yogurt, and a croissant was delivered to our room each morning. We did not spend much time in the room. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very clean. The shower had decent water pressure. It is an older building,it is cozy but not fancy. The stairs could be a challenge for someone with mobility issues. Overall, Johnny Dough's has a very nice & helpful staff, good food on site, reasonable rates, and a great location!

Blinds in addition to the curtains would have been nice for the large window, to better control the light coming in & the ability of people at street level to see in.

Situation at the heart of Conwy with lovely rooms and close to railway station. Parking it’s available over the road and also there is some street parking. Dog friendly and staff very helpful. I would like to see an area in the downstairs pizzeria to seat with dogs as we were starving and would have loved to just sit and chill with a cold beer and pizza.

Stayed in room one, it was quite a hot night, the air-conditioning unit was very loud and we were not able to open the windows, which is a shame. The TV remote was not working and there was no other way to have control over the TV.

Excellent position in the town with a spacious well equipped room. Shower and toilet facilities were good, and the pizzas downstairs are absolutely fantastic. It’s worth noting that the pizza restaurant is closed Monday and Tuesday. Second time we have stayed here and would return anytime we are in the area. A reasonable price , especially considering it was ‘pirate weekend’. Nice view of the castle from room, and even a slim view of the river.

For us it was not an issue, but stairs to the room might be difficult for those with mobility issues.

We were booking for 1 night but decided to stay 2 and so glad we did! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the views from our double window room were beautiful. We were greeted by Sarah who kindly upgraded us to a room with fantastic views. Thankyou so much! However all the rooms are reasonably priced for such a location and ideal for a short break. Johnny Doughs is situated across from the castle and a few minutes walk from the waterfront . It is an ideal location for the shops, pubs and restaurants. The room was spacious with a very comfortable bed, everything was clean and a complimentary, continental breakfast was left at the door each morning which wasn’t mentioned in the listing and was a lovely gesture….we enjoyed it while admiring the beautiful view over the River Conwy 😍 The town has lots of artisan shops and eateries. We had pizzas in the restaurant at Johnny Doughs below the rooms and they were excellent with very inventive toppings. Highly recommended. We’re going home refreshed and happy and would certainly book Johnny Doughs rooms next time we visit Conwy

There was nothing we didn’t like !

The room was amazing. Had a lovely views over the town of Conway. Lots of tea and coffee in the room and a bottle of water each. It was a really hot day and there was a tower fan in the room which kept the room really cool. It was amazing. The continental breakfast was really good value fresh orange juice, fresh fruit, yoghurt, and a croissant.

The restaurant downstairs was closed. We were looking forward to having pizza on the Wednesday evening but staffing problems prevent prevented it from opening. Hopefully we can test it on our next visit.!

The location was good for my purposes. The messages I received about the key lock and facilities and checking out were clear. The room was clean and had everything I needed including the fan, kettle, TV etc. The breakfast in particular was a nice touch and lovely and healthy. Thanks very much.

The only thing I noticed was that after flushing the toilet it seemed like the cistern took a while to fill up and there was a sort of dripping sound. I just made sure my last flush was a while before I wanted to sleep. Otherwise all good.

The friendliness of I believe his name was Jason (I could have the wrong name). He was a manager and couldn’t have been friendlier or kinder. Truly appreciated after driving a long ways (and not from Wales but visiting from another country). I wish I knew his name for certain-he was exceptional and deserves a raise! We were there Aug 19th.

The woman we spoke with upon arriving was not friendly. She didn’t explain why we had to wait to be checked in. She said something but I didn’t understand what she said so I asked again and she mumbled something about ice & never explained that we could only be checked in by the manager so we awkwardly waited, feeling ignored.

All the little extras in the room like aTassimo, air coolers, very comfortable beds, hair dryer, plenty of sockets and an iron was available. Although it's not mentioned in the description, they leave you a small continental breakfast. No parking on site but you could pay and display for 24 hours for £8.60, just around the corner.

The Tassimo was the only coffee available in the room. Would have been nice to have had the option of instant but the coffee was lovely.

The view is fantastic - window to the estuary and another window to the castle. Conwy is a great place to stay - historic, pretty and lots of nice shops. The room is large and clean and the mattresses are comfortable. There are two rooms with this view and two with a less exciting view to the side, so worth checking you have the one you want. Staff are friendly and the pizza restaurant on the ground floor is very good.

The double bed is two singles pushed together and although they didn't move, it's not great feeling the gap in the middle. The breakfast is continental in a bag delivered to your door at 8.30am. It's more convenient for the staff and much easier for them to manage, and the fresh fruit is a nice addition, but I prefer to have a cooked breakfast or some choice when away from home. But these are minor disadvantages for the best view in Conwy, so we'll still come back.

It was a really pleasant day and perfect for one night. We know the area well so it was important to just have something in the centre of town. They seem to have thought of everything and there was some nice little touches in the room. The coffee machine weren’t and the hairdryer was great, which is not always the case even in some five star hotels. All in all it was great

The communal stairwell it was a bit tatty and a bit smelly from the pizza downstairs but I don’t think there is anything they can do about that. Otherwise, absolutely nothing everything was great.
