The breakfast & all supplied cannot be faltered, The Service was fair for an Inn, but needs updating. The tables or at least one of them was great for knocking ones knees on & had to avoid a wooden brace fitted at feet level to put your feet over, to pull your chair under the table, so one could eat more comfortably. Room was situated close to the main busy road & again had to close them to keep room quieter at night. The bed creeked & squeaked at every movement , so had to use cushions on the bed to put behind the headboard to stop some of those noises. There was a Clothes rack for use as somewhere to hang your clothes. The Shower room was suitable for purpose.

What I was really despondent about, was the way the Inn is shown on their advertising photo. The inn looks like it is off the beaten track & on a gravel track, surrounded by vegetation. But on arrival the so called Hotel infact an INN , is on a main road with some parking & the remainder is in front of the property on the side of the road, so unsafe for families with children. I would not have booked this type of accommodation. I wanted a Hotel. I felt tricked . I would not recommend this place.

Food was amazing. Lovely country pub with character. Staff warm and friendly.

Construction criticism would be that there was no WIFI code left in the room and when we asked for it the WIFI was very weak in our room. There was no mirror in the bedroom so drying my hair was an issue. When we arrived to check in we were first told we had no booking, then we were taken to our dining table for the evening..1 hour early! We said no we wanted to go to our room another young lady apologised and found our room which she took us to, but she didn't have the key thinking that we had it already. Service was sometimes a little slow in the restaurant but the food was worth the wait. Home-cooked with love

The hotel rooms were excellent quality and very clean. The double room had a lovely four poster bed and excellent ensuite, which was furnished throughout to a very high standard. There was a good range of drinks packets available and toiletries in the bathroom. The twin room was also excellent and furnished to a high standard with an excellent shower. The staff were friendly and reserved a parking space. Highly recommended as there are not many places to park. The hotel has a warm, friendly atmosphere. Breakfast was excellent and the restaurant waitress was very friendly with good service. There was a good range of choices on the menu. It's a shame the restaurant was not open in the evening on the day we stayed as the menu looked great. Overall, we would all highly recommend this hotel.

Nothing we didn't like but take care to note days the restaurant opens in the evening if you want to eat there. There are a range of choices in the town that are walking distance, though. Make sure you book a parking place.

The room was lovely - Ty Gwyn is an OLD building so does have some quirks (narrow corridors and stairs and some of the floor boards can be squeaky) but its a WONDERFUL period property with an real old world feel. It has clearly been refurbished rcently to a very high standard, and the mixture of period furniture and modern fittings in the bathroom make for a luxury feeling. The bar/restaruant/breakfast area still has its original fireplaces, and whitewhed walls with beamed ceilings. It's decorated with leather and brasswork from agriculture, along with lovely copper items like drinking jugs, pewter tankards, and country paraphernalia which all adds to the really homely charm. The breakfast options were excellent with a range of cereals and fruit and yoghurt etc, alongside full cooked Welsh or Vegetarian breakfast options. The staff at check in and breakfast were excellent.

Nothing!

I really loved the spa bath and the room was very clean. Bed was comfortable but very soft. Tv was good size Food was lovely Staff were lovely Plenty of spaces left to park

Bed too soft preference only Noisy road if window open and because of old windows in keeping with hotel they didn’t stay open very well so it was a choice of hot and stuffy or wedge window open and noisy . Also bar closed at 9.30 ish you could still get a drink afterwards but to drink in room only. It was Saturday night and your on holiday so a later drink in bar would have been nice. Coffee was luke warm on breakfast but again personal preference as I like my coffee hot.

Stayed in the lovely one bedroom apartment. It was Perfect, lovely modern kitchen area, hob, oven, fridge l, freezer, washer, dishwasher, wow! everything you would ever need was available in this kitchen. Plenty of pots, pans, glasses etc. Large TV in the lounge & Comfortable seating to relax in. Large upstairs bedroom. Bed was really comfortable and very clean. Lots of space upstairs, cute rocking chair and a bed settee. Lovely view from upstairs windows. Bathroom, small room with shower, all new, super clean and modern. Various shower gels, shampoo n conditioners. Very impressed with this accommodation. Had our own front door, felt very safe. Would highly recommend 🌟🌟🌟🌟Breakfast was in with the price and was delicious, lots to choose from and plenty on your plate. Lovely service, thankyou 👍

Being very picky, A little cold on an evening sometimes. Booked a meal in advance and a bit of an issue with table booking. Also a long wait to order and eventually eat! Once it arrived the meal was delicious to be honest.

The impression I got on arrival was cosy pub with rooms rather than sophisticated hotel (absolutely nothing wrong with that by the way) but i expected cheerful pub grub. I was not expecting to be so blown away by the food as I was. Everything on the menu was amazing, exactly what I wanted. Cooked to perfection and mopped up with crusty, delicious granary bread. The hake was standout. The wine list also lovely. The staff were extremely friendly and did everything they could to welcome us. A lovely trip.

The hotel is a big warm hug from as soon as you enter. A beautiful old building, maintained to a high standard, still keeping its oldy worldly charm. The staff especially Scott are warm welcoming and friendly. The bar area is great, full of history and little snugs to hamper down in after a good walk. The Menu for lunch and evening are exceptional. The food was amazing and there were lots of choices! The room was beautiful, tartan and antique furniture with a modern whirlpool bath, loved it! The bed was like sleeping on a cloud 🤗The hotel is very clean. The breakfast was 😋 yummy, alot of choice and all good produce. The service staff are very professional and caring.

Staff were really helpful and the evening meals and breakfast were great.Beer was excellent and the wine was to my wife's taste.Great location with amazing scenery in the area.Shame the weather didn't oblige .Betws y Coed is a lively town with great shops and Swallow Falls was well worth the £2 entry fee.

We had a room at the front, which was quite noisy with traffic..as it's an old property and had sash windows all round .As we were only a couple it didnt really bother us but the door between the room and bathroom didnt have a receiver in the frame to keep it shut..The only other issue we found was next to the lounge area were the toilets and there was a really strong smell coming from that area.

The room was very cozy and clean. The breakfast was superb and also the menu if you wanna get lunch or dinner. The staffs are also nice and kind. The place is just a few minutes walk to the train station where some food places are

Our private bathroom is separated from our room so we had to go out of our room to use it and as it is just open so anyone can use.
