Very friendly staff, near the train station so no need for a cab. We will definitely come back again. Exceptionally clean and great value for money. Sauna and hot tub were a very welcome surprise after a day of walking.

As we had no robes while visiting the sauna, there was nowhere to hang our clothes apart from one single unstable recliner which wasn't enough for three people. Most of our clothes and towels were wet which made getting dressed really hard. The space could have done with a simple bench, shelfs and hooks. The shower/ steam cabin wasn't working well and it was very confusing.

From outside straight away you could tell hotel was going to be nice,I had been there for a couple of meals first and staff were so pleasant and welcoming I decided to book a room for a couple of extra nights stay in the village,food was absolutely stunning and was always a pleasure to tip the staff,my border collie was well looked after and enjoyed his stay,especially the sausages for breakfast from the chef in the morning,we will certainly be returning for a longer stay next time,to all the staff thank you for a wonderful and pleasant stay. Having read mixed reviews prior to our 2 night stay for a family of 6 with 3 dogs (spaniels) we were not disappointed at all, the price paid for B&B and accommodation with dogs was spot-on. The staff were friendly, helpful, welcoming and efficient. The breakfast was varied and perfect , and we were able to sit with the dogs in the bar area for breakfast. we had a meal in the bar with the dogs on our first night and highly recommend it for its quantity, price and tastiness. Perfect. we were able to park easily on the hotel car park and the location of the hotel was central and ideal. If you travel with dogs you will appreciate that some hotels are only dogs welcome, not dog friendly, this is definitely a dog friendly (and customer) friendly hotel, hence relaxing and perfect. Maybe this is why some reviews consider it shabby and in need of updating? but for us we cannot faulty our stay at the hotel

Staff very friendly and helpful, especially blonde lady at breakfast who catered for our dog and us with such enthusiasm.

Although we prevented our dog from jumping on the bed at all, he is a large dog and could have done so easily had we not been vigilant about this. As there is a notice in room stating there's a £20 charge for cleaning if your dog is found to have been on the bed when the duvet covers are all white and it's February weather, then i feel this may be hard to prevent for some dog owners. That said, people bringing their dogs to stay here should always take care with furnishings and respect the property, just maybe not be placed in rooms where it's all white duvets/sheets.

The best Sunday dinner I've ever had at a restaurant and the breakfast was perfect as well. Such good food, served hot and fresh with great portions! The little private spa was a great addition to our stay. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had one minor issue with a broken lamp and they very quickly attended to fix it. Staff were great with my teens and chatted to them directly like adults so that was lovely! Room was exceptionally clean with comfortable beds. The bunk beds were very sturdy and easily accommodated my 5'7 son in the top bunk. The bathroom was absolutely spotlessly clean. And a lovely touch was nice compimentary soaps for each of us and the towels were lovely big fluffy white ones. We loved the TV with Free DVD's provided in reception. It want a smart TV but we actually loved it and the boys enjoyed sifting through the DVD's to find something they liked. It was a nice change. Also, the Internet in our room was great. It dropped out once. Other places I've been too usually have terribly slow Internet in the rooms so this was a great bonus especially with having two teenage boys with me who need constant entertainment. Overall, we were all very happy with our stay.

The car park is small and awkward but I was relieved they had one and it had easy access to the building. It would be difficult for someone not confident in reversing or a nervous driver but I was fine with it. The shower water was hotter than the actual sun when you first turn it on so we had to leave it running for 5 minutes then it adjusted itself and cooled down. We were in room 16 so maybe this was specific to that room. Once cooled it was fine.

The staff were great and super friendly. There was even a Christmas quiz with some of the hotel's fajily and friends. Lovely comfortable area to sit with dogs with a lovely large log burner. The hotel room was adequate and well equipped. The breakfast was wonderful, plenty of choice on continental and hot menu, and as vegans, we were very well catered for. The dog got a sausage too! The location was fantastic and the main reason we chose to stay. Overall we were not disappointed and would love to stay here again.

The hotel rooms area (hallway etc.) had lots of stairs and corners, and the hallway lights were broken/flashing. Good mobility is a must to stay here! The decor was very dated but didn't bother us as it's cosy/old/country decor. However, the bed was not comfy and the springs were very prominent so I think a refresh of the mattress, pillows and duvets would make this a 10 out of 10.

Bunkhouse: Only one toilet and 2 showers at the lady's toilet. The room is smaller than "The smallest house in UK", the walls are very thin. When we arrived, it was a very powerful smell of chlorine. The parking is too small for all the customers. We stayed for 3 nights and wanted to book twice the spa/jacuzzi but only allowed to book once. We didn't know that was tea and free coffee in the kitchen, no one mentioned.

We booked the apartment, which for us and our adult children was perfect. With three bedrooms a kitchen, lounge and bathroom. All you could need for an adventuring weekend. With the added benefit of the lively bar and restaurant downstairs. The food served is great, but book ahead as other reviews have said, as they do get booked out. Fantastic breakfast served too. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. Fantastic stay, a place we would definitely return to.

Nothing not to like.

Great location within Betws Y Coed. We enjoyed the breakfast that was included, unlimited continental and a small cooked breakfast. Staff were all friendly and very helpful. We were able to take our dog and were provided with a dog friendly area to eat breakfast. Good drinks on tap at the bar too. The complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits and shower gels were a very nice touch. Comfortable bed. Our dog liked the dog treats left out in the reception area

The road outside is fairly busy but that can't be helped as there's only 1 main road through the town. The car park is small so parking is on a first come basis. There is however parking on the street up the steps behind the car park. The room was also quite hot despite turning the radiators off

I enjoyed every single moment spent in Betws y Coed and Glan Aber just made it spectacular with their hospitality. I arranged this trip as a birthday gift to myself, and I am happy that it's worth it. The sauna, jacuzi was a great bonus after all these hikings. Definitely will come back again.

I booked a certain single room on Bookings but I was allocated to a different single room with a 3 times smaller bathroom. I contacted Booking cuz I was told that it is their system, not the hotel's that matched the rooms with guests. Unfortunately that wasn't true, and the room was given to a regular guest. I just didn't want to focus on this side of the story. Ladies at the reception, especially Gemma made my trip unforgettable with their hospitality.
