There is a nice bar area and restaurant, free parking across the road if you put your reg no into a little screen. Nice bathroom, comfortable bed, good sized tv if you want to watch anything. There was a fan as well. It was fine for a three night stay. The staff were very friendly. They do a delicious Sunday lunch! We ate in Betws-y-Coed on one evening and it wasn’t a patch on the food at our hotel!

If you have a room overlooking the road, you can’t have the window open as the noise from traffic is loud. It’s not a very busy road but what does go by is loud. This is not a criticism, merely an observation. However it wouldn’t stop me staying there again.

Great location for Snowdon (ca. 10 mins drive) and the nearby mountains. You can do Moel Siabod direct from the pub. Food was excellent, fab choice of pub grub, and lots of it. The pub can also do packed lunches for your day out to save having to go back to Betws-y-Coed to pick up sandwiches. The staff were amazing and couldn't have been more helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Although the bedrooms could do with a bit of a make-over, there was nothing wrong with them. Our twin was quite spacious and spotlessly clean and refreshed each day. The shower was fabulous - plenty of hot water and very powerful. There is also a small drying room. Also dog friendly.

Our mountain view room was also road facing and the passing traffic was quite noisy at night. Maybe opt for a room without the mountain view, but quieter! Also make sure you register your car number plate at reception. The car park is operated by Britannia car parking and issue fines if you've not registered your vehicle for the duration of your stay. The pub staff can help with this.

The staff are what made the difference for me, I would like to particularly mention Sam who welcomed me every morning during breakfast time, she was an absolute star. Likewise Celyn who made my evenings effortless when reserving a table, ordering dinner, etc., there were times when Celyn seemed to know what I wanted before I knew myself, she too was an absolute star. All other staff were lovely too, and feel free to feed this back to them.

I was in room 3 and some of the walls are a bit thin because I could hear both rooms either side of me, which wasn’t such a joy, particularly after midnight.

• Very clean rooms • Breakfast had good choices from simple pastries, porridge, vegan full breakfast, Welsh full breakfast etc. • The staff are very friendly. • The beer garden was nice. • Allowed to keep mountain bike in the hotel conference room to keep it safe. • Free parking. • Good communication from messages sent. • Decent hot water and shower/wash facilities

My room (No.2) was at the front of the hotel and the road noise is substantial as it is an 'A' Road. Although not a busy 'A' Road, it is a main route for trucks as well as cars. Thankfully main flow of traffic ceased around 11 pm, but I needed my earplugs and the window closed to achieve decent sleep. There is also a double door that goes to the conference room and this has a harsh closing which results in a 'bang' being heard in the room. The walls are not the best at silencing sounds, so if you are a light sleeper - be prepared.

easy access, staff super friendly and helpful , food great although a bit large a portion size for me. could get a pack lunch ordered the night before if you’re hiking all day.

I wanted a can of coke to take with me for my day’s hike, when i learned price was £2:30 just for a can decided it was too pricey. 1st night had excited guests next door whom i could hear quite clearly through thin walls, until midnight.

Location was exceptional, we booked to stay here due to the hikes right on the doorstep (Moel Siabod is something special). We brought our dog Scout along with us, the restaurant was dog friendly and the staff were too! Really cosy place with comfortable beds. Myself and partner are vegan and found we were well catered for both at dinner and at breakfast.

Wish we'd have stayed an extra night

A great place to stay. Loved the new decor, very stylish and welcoming with the warm colours and artwork. Comfortable room with everything we needed. We ate in the restaurant both evenings of our stay and the food was excellent with good menu choices. Really good breakfasts, good choices and nice to see small portion option of the Full Welsh. Poached eggs were perfect as well. The best thing at Tyn y Coed without question is the staff, everyone was so welcoming and friendly. A special mention to Beth,Tanya, Ella and Tomos. Would love to return and can highly recommend.

Everything was great.

Great location and excellent parking. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Just go ahead and book the breakfast as it’s great value. Very convenient for a couple of mountains nearby. Short drive to the popular mountains and Betwys. Bar and restaurant were excellent for the evenings but can get busy with walk ins.

Hinges on bedroom landings need oiling as you can hear them quite loudly in bed everytime a guest walked past.

Easy to find with good parking. Spotless Friendly staff, good food.

The only slight criticism was that when we checked in we asked about breakfast as we we needed to leave early. We were charged for it there and then. However at breakfast there were different prices for various types of breakfast. Unknowingly we had paid for cooked breakfasts which neither of us had so I think this needs explaining at point of paying.
