Got upgraded from the Standard Lodge to the Superior Lodge and man was it amazing. Having coffee on the little veranda seating for 2 in the morning with the view was 👌🏼 Very spacious and clean room. Loved all the mirrors, conveniently placed power sockets, iron & stand already in the room, coffee & tea selection to the very large and comfortable bed. I definitely recommend visiting the leisure center. Great pool, hot tub, sauna and steam room. The gym has nice views of the pool area from above. Both Bridge Restaurant and Bar 1815 had great menus and the food tasted amazing 😋 Every staff member from the reception to the servers in both restaurants were friendly, courteous and just very lovely overall!
Nothing wrong with them but the bathroom aesthetic could be updated/modernized a little.

Breakfast was fabulous and made very welcome by the staff. We had dinner at the hotel and again the food was excellent, really tasty and good quality. The cleanliness of our family lodge was outstanding. Very modern and plenty of tea, coffee, milk, hot chocolate and biscuits. The little shampoos, body washes, body lotions and soap smelt lovely.
Only one tiny criticism was that our lounge in our lodge was very dark during the day and could possibly do with a small coffee table to put your drinks on. We did enjoy our stay though and this wouldn't put us off coming again.

From start to finish the whole experience was better than expected. On arrival staff were very welcoming and the hotel and lodge was lovely clean and well presented. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was served promptly and on very hot plates which we appreciated as we like to take our time. In the evening we sampled the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc which was one of the nicest we have ever tasted. On leaving the girls at reception were very helpful with our questions re Snowdon, We also received a phone call halfway up mt snowdon to say we left a jacket in the room, which we later collected but had the offer to post it to our home address. We loved the location and would definitely return to the Waterloo and Betsy Coed again.

Room was decent in size, was easy to warm up with the radiators. Bed was comfortable.
The shower and bath set up is silly. The shower mount and controls are set back too far, so the jet only just reaches the bath itself so there is water all over the back part of the bath no matter what. Seems a large oversight. We were glad to store our bikes in a locked garage overnight however in the morning when we went to collect them the garage door was fully open and the bikes were easily accessed by anybody - so I would suggest perhaps some thought into a separate secure locked area for bikes perhaps

The lodge was lovely, very clean, heated towel rail in bathroom, hair dryer, iron, kettle, ironing board. The gym was an added bonus the pool was clean but not ever warm the changing rooms were clean and the shower was nice and hot. The jacuzzi was nice and relaxing as was the sauna. The breakfast was lovely we had the Welsh breakfast followed by yogurt but there was lots to choose from and the staff were lovely. The views were nice. It was a very relaxing and peaceful stay deffo value for money.
Would of been nice if had mini fridge and maybe bottles of water to fill kettle as had to use water from the bathroom and some normal Welsh tea bags or even better Yorkshire tea but other than that you couldn't fault the lodges. The restaurant was expensive but overall it was a lovely few days

I thought the check-in was smooth and professional. Thanks to the reception staff for allowing us into the room early. Our room was very clean, and the location was great, only a 5-minute walk into the village. .
On our 1st night, my wife and I decided to eat at the hotel. On our arrival, the bartender basically said to us you can sit wherever. We decided to sit at a table that we both liked but noticed the table wasn't set. One of the other bar staff noticed this quite quickly and set it for us. We ordered drinks followed by the food. The food came out quickly and it was lovely. However, during the meal, my wife and I wanted more drinks, we tried to get the staff's attention but couldn't as both were behind the bar laughing and joking about something, which made me get up and order my drinks at the bar which annoyed me a little and found It unprofessional in my opinion, but the overall experience was ok

The leisure facilities was really good. The food was amazing in the restaurant. The lodge was lovely. Friendly staff on reception. The Christmas decorations how it was all laid out, welcoming and inviting.
The bed was absolutely rock solid, so my husband and myself never slept well at all, was very uncomfortable. Think it would be more beneficial for softer mattress to put on beds. The staff in the leisure facilities was not very welcoming and friendly, and did not explain how things work in there, had to ask for a towel, whatever questions was asked just gave off impression/ vibe that they could not be bothered. Staff that was on breakfast duty Felt like they was rushing you and again things not explained how it all worked for example ( do we help ourselves) Feel I am slaying the staff and I’m not intentionally doing it as the staff on reception was amazing and ever so friendly and welcoming but as for others just feel they lacked in people skills.

The hotel was modern and comfortable, food was nice and staff were nice. The hotel is situated is a fantastic location, the town is within walking distance and is beautiful. Our hotel room was comfortable, a bit tight for space in the bathroom but nice. We would definitely stay here again but get breakfast on the go.
We were a bit surprised at the price for breakfast- £12.50 per person per night, so £75 in total. The full Welsh breakfast consisted of one of each (1 sausage, 1 piece of bacon, 1 tomato etc) which on the plate didn’t look like much at all. You had access to other ‘continental’ items like toast, a bowl of fruit salad, and yoghurt etc but we thought it was over priced. We felt we spent a lot of money on bottles of water, as we were unsure we could drink out the tap (soft/hard water etc) maybe access to a water fountain would be good? The pool/spa pass could be looked at, as we paid £12.50 to swim for half an hour, again a bit over priced. Maybe there could be a different price just the pool?

I really appreciated that there is a resturant section and a little pub/bar part of which we used both on seperate evenings. The staff are fantastic , friendly and attentive. The food was amazing and I’ve found my new favourite drink. Somersby Blackcurrent lol. We never had an issue getting a parking space either which is always a plus. The bathroom was very clean which is greatly appreciated. I didn’t make use of the little face cloth and toiletries but it’s a nice touch.
The swimming facilities closing time , would have beeen nice to use it but both occasions we were too late but that’s our fault really. The bed was a little uncomfortable but that is solely based on each individual. I think my husband struggled to sleep more than myself.

booked as a last minute Valentine’s Day get away. Stayed in a lodge around the back of the hotel which was really cosy! There’s a warning about trains going past but we didn’t see/hear one so it didn’t bother us at all. Unfortunately didn’t use the spa due to me forgetting my swimwear and there isn’t anywhere you could really get one from but this was a mistake of my own. Had tea in the restaurant and the service and food was amazing, literally could not find a fault. Same at breakfast. All of the staff throughout the hotel were so friendly and helpful. Would 100% stay again.
