Me and my husband loved everything about Glyntwrog House! The location is great - we got to hike every day and saw amazing gorges, waterfalls and swam in wild lakes! The room was really cosy and got everything we would have wished for. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had anywhere while traveling! But the best thing was Sean, our host! He is the warmest and most caring host I have met! He really helped us with everything, he always asked about our day and gave really good ideas of what to see and do next! He even gave me binoculars to take with on a trip to the lake! Really recommend this place to everyone! Wish I could go back now!
Cannot think of anything!

A unique Bnb experience from start to finish. Sean is a host like no other, going above and beyond to ensure you have a fantastic stay. Sean gives an extremely warm welcome, covering off the detail of the accommodation along with giving advice on the activities you may have planned for your trip. My wife and I stayed to climb Snowdon primarily, however had a number of other great experiences on Sean's reccomendation. Nothing was too much during our stay with lots of added little touches that made the trip even more enjoyable. Glyntwrog House is a beautiful traditional Welsh period property set within a beautiful part of Betws Y Coed and only a 15 minute walk into the village centre. Breakfast was a highlight! Only locally sourced ingredients are used and Sean executes them extremely well within his English/Welsh cooked Breakfast. Thank you to Sean and his wife for giving us a memorable stay. Glyntwrog House is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed. We were greeted by Sean the owner, who is extremely friendly. He goes out of his way to make you feel welcome, he remembered both our names which I thought was lovely. Our room was beautiful, very clean and comfortable. There was a guide book in our room, which gave us all the information we needed and more! There was even ear plugs supplied which came in handy with my husbands snoring 😂. Sean and Mary-Ann really have thought of everything! The breakfast room was light and bright and looked over the garden where we enjoyed watching the wild birds feed. The breakfast itself was excellent and of good quality local ingredients. The property is easy to find and is a pleasant short walk into the centre of town, so it's a great location too. We will stay here again next time we visit Betws-y-coed we have already recommended to friends.

If you're looking for a peaceful escape where birds chirp instead of car alarms and the only drama is whether to have another cup of coffee, Glyntwrog House is your place. From the moment we arrived, Sean made us feel incredibly welcome, warm, genuine hospitality that immediately put us at ease. The house was spotless clean and clearly well cared for. Everything about the space felt calm and comfortable, like the kind of place where you can finally exhale. Tranquil? Check. Surrounded by nature? Absolutely. It’s the perfect setting to slow down, disconnect, and recharge. Whether you're sipping coffee with a view or just enjoying the quiet, there's a real sense of peace here. Would I recommend it? Without hesitation. And honestly, we are already looking for excuses to go back. Thank you once again Sean! Cameron and Leidy

Where to start, this was definitely one of the best B&B we’ve ever stayed at! The hosts are incredibly welcoming and accommodating, they gave us plenty of recommendations and catered 100% to our dietary needs (rarely ever happens, so super appreciated!!). The room was spacious, with a comfy bed, view of the woods and some lovely teas and biscuits (including vegan Welsh cakes!). Breakfast was just perfect, continental plus a hot dish that changed daily. There are only a few rooms so it is quiet and relaxing. Perfectly located closely to the main attractions in North Wales. Hope to be back :)

We booked Glyntwrog House very last minute when our original hotel plans were cancelled the day before due to unforeseen circumstances. Our frantic search for a nice place to stay as a birthday treat on Booking.com resulted in our decision to book Glyntwrog House and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The B&B accommodation is set in the most beautiful surroundings and its slightly elevated position allows for fantastic views. Sean met us at the door and was immediately warm and welcoming. The house is lovely throughout and our room was clean, well-stocked and beautifully decorated. The B&B is close to local restaurants and shops and a great place to explore any walks in the local area. Sean’s cooked breakfasts were absolutely delicious, made from great quality and locally sourced ingredients. We are a meat eater and a vegetarian and he catered for us both so well. A very touching treat during our stay was a card and welsh cakes given very kindly by Sean and Mary-Ann to my husband on his birthday. If you are thinking of a getaway to North Wales then definitely do yourself a favour and book for a stay here.

Would highly recommend and will definitely be heading back to stay again, we had a fantastic time, made all the more memorable by the excellent hosts Sean and Mary-Ann. The location is perfect for exploring anywhere in North Wales. The B&B itself is quiet and off the main road, so that there is no traffic noise. It's set in a beautiful location and near enough to walk to restaurants in Betws-y-coed. We were made to feel very welcome. Sean in particular was very knowledgeable and gave us great suggestions during our stay for food and places to visit, he truly elevated our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was great and all locally sourced. Finally, the room. We were in Room 1 which was spacious and recently renovated. It had a lovely big and comfortable bed, a closet and ensuite too, with a lovely window view out into the garden.
There were no negatives during our stay. We really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to visiting again in the future.

Sean was very welcoming with lots of information on the local area. Breakfast was delicious, all local produce, you need to pre order if possible to help speed things up but not a problem for us. Room and house were spotless. Lovely to sit and watch the squirrel and birds while eating breakfast. Local area is beautiful with plenty to see and do.
The 25 minute walk into the village was a bit too long for our liking, especially as it's very dark in the area with small pavements, almost got run over crossing the main road on Sunday night. We had food in Ty Gwyn, just a couple of doors away on the Saturday and had a terrible meal and awful service, avoid if you can, go into the village instead.

Stayed at Glyntwrog House for our 3 year anniversary and all aspects of our stay made it super memorable. The property itself is well-situated within walking distance of Betws and local pubs, shops and most importantly - hikes! The superior king room was beautifully appointed with a refurbished bathroom and great view out to the river. In-room snacks and coffee and tea were also available. Most importantly we felt like we’d come home to family with hosts Sean and Mary-Ann (fellow South Africans - what a small world). They were so friendly, ready to help with local tips for restaurants and things to do (all brilliant) as well as on hand to tailor our breakfast experience and make our stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you Sean and Mary-Ann, we look forward to returning soon
Nothing - an excellent stay.

This was an amazing place to stay from arrival to leaving and I truly wish we could have stayed longer. We arrived a few minutes early, but Sean was nice enough to check us in when we got there. He provided us with lots of helpful information about the property and recommended where we could go to eat that evening. He was so kind in helping us get an early start the following morning by allowing us to schedule our breakfast a tiny bit earlier than usual so we could meet up with friends in the area. The entire property was idyllic. The lush trees and vegetation, in addition to bird feeders at every corner, invited birds and nature right to every window. Our room was exactly as expected, and there were very clear guidelines on how to operate the shower and toilet, which we appreciated. There were useful outlooks provided on either side of the bed, so we didn’t have to compete for the charging space. In the room, a guidebook providing more background about the property and surrounding areas was like the icing on the cake. The traditional Welsh breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious. We loved every moment of our stay. Thank you Sean!
