Where to start, this was definitely one of the best B&B we’ve ever stayed at! The hosts are incredibly welcoming and accommodating, they gave us plenty of recommendations and catered 100% to our dietary needs (rarely ever happens, so super appreciated!!). The room was spacious, with a comfy bed, view of the woods and some lovely teas and biscuits (including vegan Welsh cakes!). Breakfast was just perfect, continental plus a hot dish that changed daily. There are only a few rooms so it is quiet and relaxing. Perfectly located closely to the main attractions in North Wales. Hope to be back :)

We booked Glyntwrog House very last minute when our original hotel plans were cancelled the day before due to unforeseen circumstances. Our frantic search for a nice place to stay as a birthday treat on Booking.com resulted in our decision to book Glyntwrog House and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The B&B accommodation is set in the most beautiful surroundings and its slightly elevated position allows for fantastic views. Sean met us at the door and was immediately warm and welcoming. The house is lovely throughout and our room was clean, well-stocked and beautifully decorated. The B&B is close to local restaurants and shops and a great place to explore any walks in the local area. Sean’s cooked breakfasts were absolutely delicious, made from great quality and locally sourced ingredients. We are a meat eater and a vegetarian and he catered for us both so well. A very touching treat during our stay was a card and welsh cakes given very kindly by Sean and Mary-Ann to my husband on his birthday. If you are thinking of a getaway to North Wales then definitely do yourself a favour and book for a stay here.

Would highly recommend and will definitely be heading back to stay again, we had a fantastic time, made all the more memorable by the excellent hosts Sean and Mary-Ann. The location is perfect for exploring anywhere in North Wales. The B&B itself is quiet and off the main road, so that there is no traffic noise. It's set in a beautiful location and near enough to walk to restaurants in Betws-y-coed. We were made to feel very welcome. Sean in particular was very knowledgeable and gave us great suggestions during our stay for food and places to visit, he truly elevated our stay. Nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was great and all locally sourced. Finally, the room. We were in Room 1 which was spacious and recently renovated. It had a lovely big and comfortable bed, a closet and ensuite too, with a lovely window view out into the garden.
There were no negatives during our stay. We really enjoyed ourselves and look forward to visiting again in the future.

Stayed at Glyntwrog House for our 3 year anniversary and all aspects of our stay made it super memorable. The property itself is well-situated within walking distance of Betws and local pubs, shops and most importantly - hikes! The superior king room was beautifully appointed with a refurbished bathroom and great view out to the river. In-room snacks and coffee and tea were also available. Most importantly we felt like we’d come home to family with hosts Sean and Mary-Ann (fellow South Africans - what a small world). They were so friendly, ready to help with local tips for restaurants and things to do (all brilliant) as well as on hand to tailor our breakfast experience and make our stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you Sean and Mary-Ann, we look forward to returning soon
Nothing - an excellent stay.

Sean was very welcoming with lots of information on the local area. Breakfast was delicious, all local produce, you need to pre order if possible to help speed things up but not a problem for us. Room and house were spotless. Lovely to sit and watch the squirrel and birds while eating breakfast. Local area is beautiful with plenty to see and do.
The 25 minute walk into the village was a bit too long for our liking, especially as it's very dark in the area with small pavements, almost got run over crossing the main road on Sunday night. We had food in Ty Gwyn, just a couple of doors away on the Saturday and had a terrible meal and awful service, avoid if you can, go into the village instead.

This was an amazing place to stay from arrival to leaving and I truly wish we could have stayed longer. We arrived a few minutes early, but Sean was nice enough to check us in when we got there. He provided us with lots of helpful information about the property and recommended where we could go to eat that evening. He was so kind in helping us get an early start the following morning by allowing us to schedule our breakfast a tiny bit earlier than usual so we could meet up with friends in the area. The entire property was idyllic. The lush trees and vegetation, in addition to bird feeders at every corner, invited birds and nature right to every window. Our room was exactly as expected, and there were very clear guidelines on how to operate the shower and toilet, which we appreciated. There were useful outlooks provided on either side of the bed, so we didn’t have to compete for the charging space. In the room, a guidebook providing more background about the property and surrounding areas was like the icing on the cake. The traditional Welsh breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious. We loved every moment of our stay. Thank you Sean!

Before the stay, fantastic communication from our host Sean - things to see and do, places to eat, arranged a lunch pack up for us because we were missing breakfast due to an early start. On arrival, comprehensive check in. Super friendly but most importantly for us northern lasses - great banter! The room was cozy, clean, comfortable and every attention to detail met and appreciated - especially after a wet day hiking. Our packed lunch was to die for. Locally sourced meat/cheeses/chutney. Same goes for breakfast on the following day. Perfectly executed, quality products 👌 In short, we have been absolutely spoiled and did not want to leave. There are not enough stars ✨ to rate this accommodation. Sean, Mary-Ann thank you so much!! ☺️
Sean wanted the keys back when we left 🤭😂

Sean was definitely the best host we've had in our trips through the UK. His service and kindness were outstanding. We felt very confortable. The breakfasts are made with 100% Welsh products from local providers, and they even have coffee roasted in Wales. We loved that. The room was clean and nice.
The location is not the best if you come by foot. It's around 15-20 walk from the town centre. There's no pedestrian access, so you have to cross a road that can get busy and then get up to the hotel by the car access. For us wasn't a problem though.

By far the best BNB we ever booked! All 5 star rating: from communication before our trip, welcoming us kindly and very informative about the area and our planned trips, the best service you can ever think of! Breakfast was lovely and you can see all the personal touch Sean put in every detail. He even prepared a delightful snacks for our hike early in the morning (he didn’t have to tho, but we’re lucky and very grateful) and allowed us to bring some coffee to go when we checked out. Plus the view were stunning! Location’s near the town, with lots of restaurants you choose of. Can’t find words to describe our experience, it’s an awesome one! And we’re definitely go back soon!

The property is stunning! Very well decorated and a century house. If you like history and like to be immersed in history this is the place for you. The hosts are unbelievable. You will feel you are at home. They will give you loads of hints on what to do in the area. The breakfast is very delicious. A full English breakfast with a beautiful view to the garden. It was my boyfriend birthday and Sean got him a birthday card and the best seat for breakfast. I highly recommend this guest house. Everything is very close to the house. If you are still looking for a place, this is the one for you.
None. Everything perfect.
