A very lovely wedding venue, all very well organised. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

When we arrive to "book in" they told us we didn't have a room as it was a wedding, and the bride and groom would have booked out the whole venue. I'm guessing booking.com would know this is a wedding venue but still took my money. The staff had a chat with the bride (my niece) and groom to ask if it was ok to give us a room. We were given a suite that was very nice and very comfortable. It was just a little embarrassing in the beginning.

Plas Maenon Country House and it’s surrounding gardens are beautiful. it’s full of character, history and stunning views. All kept alive by Jane your host and proud owner. From the second you walk through the door to the moment you leave you are taken care of, nothing is to much to ask the staff and Jane they go above and beyond. very attentive and welcoming. The locally sourced fresh ingredients help make the food outstanding put together by “chef” who clearly has a passion for food, presentation and what he does. Jane is a beautiful lady keeping the history of the Manor House alive ❤️ myself and my fiancé soon to be wife will always have special memories there and will definitely recommend to anyone who wants a perfect break with stunning views, food and company. Jane is a credit to herself and her passion and kindness shines through every visit.

There’s NOTHING not to like about the Manor House

The location and stunning scenery were a perfect mix at the end of a long day motor biking through Wales. Lisa our host was extremely attentive and although pressing a bell to get served at the bar wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea, it suited me and my brother perfectly. The decor, rooms, bathroom and ample parking meant we had a cracking stay. Add to the a brilliant breakfast and you can’t go wrong. A point to note, this is a Wedding Venue that offers B&B at the weekends so do not expect the wedding venue atmosphere when the clue is in the title B&B. Stating this as I saw another couples slightly dismayed but not sure what they expected as the website is clear and Lisa even contacts you to confirm B&B only.

Lisa was brilliant, but as a one person band she had to do some running around. Good luck to her recruiting some more staff which will relieve the pressure on her and help the business.

Staff were very friendly and helpful in suggesting places to visit close to the hotel. Our room was very clean, super comfy beds, beautiful and quiet, lovely atmosphere around the hotel. Fantastic breakfast, top notch fresh produce and high quality food severed at the front of the property in the winter garden which made it very special and magical. Highly recommend staying!

There was nothing that we didn’t like

The rooms were so clean and comfortable staff were lovely and friendly. Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice. Parking was free.

No bus route to get to places you definitely need a car to get out and about.. No meal facilities at the hotel apart from breakfast.

The lady who booked us in and Dave were very welcoming and helpful . The situation was beautiful .

There was a lack of furniture . The photos of the Criccieth suite show 2 sofas and a chair but there was just one small sofa . There was no chair in the bedroom to put clothes onto . Even though it was a saturday night there was no evening meal , though a nearby inn ( recommended by the lady who booked us in ) gave us a lovely supper .

Toilet roll needs to be ungraded Chair & Table on Balcony would have been a plus Balcony needs to be split for each room Plates & cutlery would have been a plus although we did ask and were given them Yogurt & fruit would have been nice for continental

Stunning grounds old home with fresh touches. The owner Jane is a wonderful host nothing was too much trouble. The weather was good and we sat on the terrace with a drink overlooking the stunning Conwy valley. Watching the bat's in the evening coming out of the old tunnel in the garden was something we will never forget. The food was lovely and the atmosphere in the front glass terrace was perfect. If you would like to stay somewhere where its home from home treatment with obsurd luxury thrown in this is the place to stay. Steeped in history ask about the ww2 vault room under the building.

There was nothing to dislike.

We were upgraded on arrival to a suite which was absolutely superb.

The bed in the room could have been bigger just a standard double in such a lovely room seemed very strange. The sausages at breakfast were not nice at all.

The rooms are big, beautiful and clean. The food very good quality. They do their best to please you. I have gluten allergy and they’ve done the best to have options for me. Extremely friendly and kind staff. Highly recommended!

The shower didn’t work a few times, but the manager gave us another room right next to ours straight away. She left it available even when our shower was already working, which was really kind.
