Very accommodating. The young lady working there was very natural and genuinely friendly. They were in a situation of not having a chef, but even though we had not paid for it, they had put a substantial breakfast bag containing various items, for each of us in the room.

Having to pay for 24 hour parking. £5.50 per 12 hours which doesn't exactly break the bank, but it does give the gut just a little twinge when there's about 5 free dedicated hotel parking spaces being used by regulars.

Hotel was ideally situated very central right by train & bus station parking was good right by hotel staff were very friendly helpful & courteous it was great base to explore surrounding areas nice walks too surrounded by mountains spectacular views stayed there few times & look forward to staying several more highly recommend

Location for the local attractions is great. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Family room was spacious and comfortable. Enjoyed our stay for those reasons. Breakfast box was a bonus as wasn’t expecting anything.

Building is tired and furnishings ‘quirky’. Shower didn’t work very well and noise from perhaps a generator outside? Restaurant closed as no chef.

Simple, but very well executed accommodation in a great location for Snowdonia activities. Staff were very helpful and informative. The rooms didn't offer anything over the top, but were spotless, tidy, and everything worked as it should. All in all, everything just felt very well done, without any frills. And that's a compliment. If you've been out all day and can come into a room that's clean, tidy and at a sensible price, honestly fantastic.

The lobby had a whiff of cigarette smoke from either the people smoking in the bar, or the benches outside the front door - sadly we witnessed both. This didn't pervade into any of the accommodation areas, so it wasn't an issue beyond a slightly poor first impression, and not really something the staff can control if the clientele smoke.

Very big rooms which was ideal for us. The food was top notch. Amazing and tasty food.

The bed wasn't the greatest to sleep in and it seems to be the main place to be for.locals so lots of people hanging around in the bar. Luckily we were away from the bar so I didn't disturb us but at some point during the stay someone pressed the fire alarm by mistake and it woke us up quite early.

Dog friendly in an excellent location. Ours was a decent size room at the top of the stairs with a good size bathroom. Decor is pretty tired but functional. Shower was great and the large towel rail worked well. Bed comfortable. Good size TV with limited channels. Local bar on the ground floor gets fairly busy but you don't hear anything from the room. Hosts very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was SUPERB value - decent size and cost is half what you might pay elsewhere - RECOMMEND!. You have a supermarket and fish and chips opposite. Walking in the area is quite superb and I don't know why Blaenau is not busier this time of year (August) - it makes a great base for Snowdonia. Easy walk up to the slate quarries nearby and the views up there are magnificent. Right next to the steam railway but we baulked at ticket prices - no wonder it isn't busy and there aren't many trains - such a shame. Not too far away, the walk around Llyn Trawsfynydd is gorgeous and thoroughly recommended (though the café closes so early you'll miss it, there's a pub/café in the village).

Only one bedside lamp. One or two more coat hangars or a wardrobe would improve the room.

so, i have to say for the price of this room and the size of the room we had (quadruple room) i can’t complain one bit. It was spacious the beds were fine to sleep on, they also had a smart tv so you could watch netflix, now tv, disney plus etc. The bathroom was also massive for our room so again can’t complain, there’s also parking at the back that you do have to pay for but if you ask the desk they’ll tell you that you can park your car down the side of the hotel which is great. there’s a few food places around the corner that you can walk to but a lot of takeouts really, you’ll have to take ur own knives and forks if your gonna get them though.

It wasn’t perfectly clean there’s the obvious bits which would need a little tlc and some bleach but it’s things like ware and tare on the walls that normally appear (cracks). there’s some dust on the skirting boards and windows maybe some blobs on towels and bedding that have stained but clearly been washed. if your that bothered about this stuff then this isn’t the place for you. but for a night or even a couple it’s a great price. there’s a slight smell of beer on your way upto the rooms however that disappears as you carry on walking to your room :)

Room and bathroom look like they need a little bit of renovation. The bed base had a big horrible stain which we discovered when we tried to use the duvet.

Amazing location. The room was huge and nicely decorated. Plenty of useful things provided, like kettle and tea coffee, towels, shampoo etc. Staff was friendly and courteous. The local people were so welcoming. Lots of restaurants locally, beautiful views, and easy driving distance to most places. The price was also unbeatable. Would stay again, with a bit more preparation for comfort/cleanliness.

The rooms weren’t too clean, found some yucky thing on a blanket on the bed. The bathroom floor was not clean, and bathroom itself was dusty. We requested a room clean but staff only changed the bins and replenished the tea. Nothing else was cleaned. The mattresses in our room were uncomfortable, we could feel the springs poking us. Maybe a mattress topper would be good.

The bedroom was very spacious, children got a proper bed each and not a fold out bed. Very comfy beds. Bar downstairs allowed us to take drinks upstairs to our room, which was ideal when we wanted to get the children to sleep.

Restaurant wasn’t serving food when we arrived and they didn’t offer breakfast on a Sunday morning. But we were offered options for local nice places to eat.
