The staff were amazing, very friendly and attentive. The location was perfect for me and my daughter, everything we needed was within walking distance and there is a play park literally just on the other side of the road. Although we didn't have any evening meals in the restaurant, it is a lovely place to have breakfast, and the breakfast was fantastic!

The only issues I had with the room is that the bed was a bit too firm for me, others may find it perfect for them though, and that the WiFi password didn't appear to be in our copy of the guest information book. The password is on the wall inside the restaurant next door, but I needed it outside of opening times so was a bit frustrating at the time.

Brilliant location. Quiet room considering we were on the ground floor and next door to the Ship Inn pub. Very clean with coffee and tea facilities. Easy check in and out. Breakfast was excellent and freshly cooked. We did try to get a table for evening meal but it was fully booked. I was reminded of this when I booked but thought it wouldn’t be an issue. In reference to the breakfast I can understand why we didn’t get a table. We did get in next door at the pub which was reasonably priced

Not the hotels fault but it was a bank holiday Saturday and parking was hit and miss. After driving around the block a time or two managed to find a spot on the street.

It was very comfortable and the room was very attractive.

I am a 88yr not very tall old lady who is now not so mobile. There were no grab rails in the bathroom or in the shower. The toiletries were on a shelf above the hand basin but there was no shelf in the shower for them. So it seems one had to put shower gel all over one’s body and then go into the shower. Also there was no hook to hang your clothes on. I have to say that I had the same problems with the other 4 hotels we stayed in during our stay in North Wales. The duvets were very heavy and therefore rather hot.

Lovely accommodation which is next door in a terraced house. I went with my dad so we had 2 double rooms, both very nice rooms with spotless bathrooms. Breakfast was tasty, you have to choose what you want the evening before, the haddock was delicious but very small portion so I was pleased I had porridge 1st. A very pleasant stay

The stairs in the accommodation were steep and the handrail stops three quarters of the way up which I found difficult. Had I know I could have requested a downstairs room. And a chair in the room would be nice.

Check-in and out was excellent as was the breakfast - the haddock and scrambled eggs were superb. Rooms were within very easy walking distance of the restaurant (next door) which meant we could happily share a nice bottle of wine without worrying about driving. The belly pork I had on the Friday evening in the restaurant was exceptional - as good as any i've ever tasted.

The step into the shower was a little high for me as I have recently had a knee replacement. I understand that the height will have been needed to achieve a sufficient flow from the shower, but maybe a question on access when you book might be a good idea

Comfortable, clean, charming twin room for our 2 night stay. Very friendly, welcoming staff who served us a great breakfast each morning. My friend and I had the most lovely meal at the restaurant one of the evenings. The pork belly came recommended, and sincerely was one of the best I've tried. The creme brulee was also spot on. Location wise, it's a 10-minute drive to Portmeirion and a 6-minute drive to Black Rock Sands - both are a must see if you're in the area (both around an hour's walk). There are some pleasant pubs in close proximity if you fancy a quiet drink. We loved our stay and would happily return ❤️

Comfortable bed. Location for what we needed

Not knowing where to check in, as when arriving a private party was being held in restaurant. We walked in and we're unable to find any staff and got some quite off putting stares from the guests! Had to phone to find someone! Bathroom needs a bit of TLC. Noise from some equipment through the night going on and off constantly outside bedroom window disturbing sleep 😴. No bedside table on one side of bed so nowhere to put a drink, glasses case etc.

We'd eaten in the restaurant here three or our times previously (and the food here is outstanding, by the way), but had never stayed over. Very comfortable room and in a quiet location, even though it's a stone's throw from the main road that runs through Porthmadog., Check-in was simple and breakfast requirements were submitted in a form we left downstairs. Dietary needs (dairy and gluten intolerances) were taken care of with no fuss. On departure, we found that a rogue firework had shattered the rear screen of our car. The staff could not have been more sympathetic or helpful to our plight and helped in taping some black binbags to cover the rear of the car. I'd have no qualms whatsoever about staying there again.

Breakfast options were good and made by a pre-order the night before, so it was made fresh at our chosen time. Would also highly recommend booking a table for dinner, as this was also exceptional! All the staff were lovely and ready to help. Rooms were clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and warm, and the room had a fan if we had needed it. The hotel was in a great location, we will definitely be staying again if we're back in the area, so would highly recommend!

Everything about Yr Hen Fecws was wonderful - the staff were friendly, the room was cosy and breakfast was superb. I chose to eat in the restaurant and it was a real treat!

The food for the evening meal was on the higher end price wise (but worth it). When I arrived I bundled through the main door with all of my overnight bags into a dining room full of diners which was a little embarrassing. The door to the accommodation is outside next door but you have to go into the restaurant to get your key.
