The location is brilliant. Beddgelert is a lovely place to stay and the hotel is ideal for walking around the village. The hotel is on the main road so it is easy to get in and out with ideal parking. The staff were really kind and friendly and welcoming. The room had everything we needed for a few days stay and the bed was pretty comfortable. The shower was hot and pressure was good for an old building. The price was very low and it felt good value for what we got. The evening menu was quite interesting and we had a good meal one night.

This hotel is very old and in need of some tlc. There is work going on in the hotel and I hope they can improve it. The work didn't disturb our stay at all. The decor is quite tired and needs some love. The breakfast was very basic and not particularly enjoyable. Cheap bread, lack of fruit, no pastries. There was an adequate selection to fuel up for the day but nothing special.

Charming period hotel, very dog friendly, our dogs were allowed in the bar with us which we appreciated. The bed was very comfortable which is my number one priority! The shower was also very good. We stayed New Years Eve, the main restaurant was full so we didn't sample that menu, but husband and l had lovely chicken and lamb curries in the bar area, the couple next to us said their vegan and vegetarian curries were also delicious. Breakfast the next morning was great, the usual cooked breakfast choices and plenty of continental help yourself options too. I would definitely recommend if you like hotels with some character. As for the area, it couldn't have been more beautiful.

Everything was fine. It's still undergoing renovation in places but nowhere that affected us. Slightly pricier than i'd normally like but on the whole I'd have to say it was worth it.

We had a very pleasant stay at The Royal Goat Hotel - good situation in a beautiful setting - good weather helped, of course. Excellent walking of all levels (literally!) in the area, river-side or more challenging options available, plus a steam railway within yards of the Hotel. Very helpful and pleasant staff, excellent breakfasts to start the day and good evening fare when day is done. I was silly enough to take my room key away with me when we left, and had to return it by post - and was really pleased when the Hotel rang to confirm safe receipt of the key (and forbore calling me an idiot). Recommended.

No real issues, narrow roads expected but still challenging in places were the only real problems encountered but that is not down to the hotel.

Fantastic location. Lovely village. Comfortable large room with view. Comfortable bed. Great to have a bath that filled quickly as well as a shower. Enjoyed real ale in the bar. Friendly atmosphere and friendly bar staff. Nice to have coffee, tea and biscuits refilled every day. Easy to walk to restaurants, bars and countryside walks. The hotel has improved since we last visited in 2019. The hotel is still being refurbished so hopefully it will improve even further.

Shower temperature was difficult to set as there were separate hot and cold taps. There was nobody around at checkout time. The window frame / window sill and walls would benefit from being painted. Music in the bar and restaurant was too loud and was annoying - it was not subtle background music - so it did not create a relaxed atmosphere so we didn’t stay long to drink there and chose not to eat there.

Great base for exploring Snowdonia. The room I have was spacious and it was a nice touch that they added a little radiator for extra warmth given it was winter. Also plenty of wardrobe room. The couple running it were very helpful and friendly.

The isn't really a"don't like", more that quite understandably given that it was lowest of low season, they didn't open the restaurant at night. I would love to see this hotel when it's full and buzzing😄. There are, however a couple of pubs that both do great food within a couple of minutes walk.

Considerate and friendly staff welcoming each time we met. Excellent breakfast and evening meal. Comfy bed in a quiet room with excellent WiFi. Dedicated off road hotel parking opposite the entrance to the hotel. Amazing location in a very pretty village nestled amongst some impressive landscape with beautiful walks from the front door plus short journeys to Portmeirion and Plas Brondanw Gardens, Watkin Path up to the summit of Snowdonia and many more. We would definitely go back and enjoy this excellent value historic landmark of Beddgelert.

We had a large clean room with a very large, comfortable bed, sofa & armchair. Also enjoyed wonderful mountain views from both windows. The hospitality tray was well stocked, and brilliantly, there were plenty of milk pots. Breakfast was excellent, a very good variety to choose from. We also ate there in the evening, the meals were very tasty, our favourite was the chicken curry. The prices were very reasonable. The dining area is nice and the lounge is attractive & comfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again.

We didn't dislike anything. If I have to mention something, it's that some parts of the hotel need some up to date decorating, but this certainly didn't spoil our stay, and is understandable in the past & present economic situation.

Very friendly, helpful management and staff. Location, close to everything in the village with ample free parking. Very clean. Spacious bar and dining area and excellent seating outside beer garden.

Just a heads-up for seniors or visitors with mobility issues; - There are a number of stairs/steps to get to the 1st floor rooms, there is a lift there to go higher. - The step-over bath to shower requires a hand hold/rail.

I liked the place. Some people says that it needs a reform but in my opinion is a rustic area, so a rustic hotel puts you on situation. As well the breakfast i think is absolutely good compared with another places more expensive where i been before.

The car park. It should be little bit better because when rains (it was raining all my stance there) on the floor it has lot of mood that finally you put inside the car. I not hope that be like the garage of course, but yes at least all asphaltic for not dirt your car as lot. As well i would like to mention that for the price i think that should have air conditioner otn the room because when temperatures are high will be a little oven😅.

The room was lovely, clean & with a really comfortable bed. The room looked like it was fairly newly refurbished although the wallpaper & chairs didn't really match the rest of the room it made no difference to our comfort. A lovely cooked Welsh breakfast along with a help yourself cereal, toast, pastries, Large bathroom with a bath was nice and clean. Even though there were lots of guests there was not much noise from other rooms and our room overlooked the road and this was very quiet at night. Great location too.

The Basin in the bathroom was cracked and no shaving mirror, In the space between the bathroom and bedroom the blind to the window wasn't fitted all the way to the top so the light did come through early hours. It would of been nice to have our Tea and Coffee served to the table at breakfast as it took a few trips to carry everything we wanted. not what we expected for a hotel.
