The hosts were very friendly. Parking on site was excellent. On first impressions the room seemed a little small but the bed was a large double which was nice. The shower was really good and the bathroom was very spacious. The breakfast offering was huge, such a selection of choice.
The lighting in the room could have been better as it was spotlights pointing at the walls and not down where you need it, e.g. to look into your bag, etc. The lighting in the bathroom produced shadows as there was no extra lighting for visibility to shave or apply make-up. Pillows were uncomfortable as you had a choice of feather (which we don't like) or shredded polyurethane, which meant that the filling would keep moving around. Hollowfibre pillows are better as the filling will stay in position and provide better head and neck support.

There is nothing not to like about staying at Tudor Lodge: first, its great location midway between the main Porthmadog train station, less than ten minutes' walk down the High Street, and the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway station, also a ten-minute walk further down the High Street. Second, what a heavenly place to stay with endearing and friendly hosts, very clean public and private spaces, comfortable beds and pillows, hot showers, and an ab fab breakfast with more options than hotels offer, including --for those who like lunch food at breakfast (I'm being cheeky!)--meats, cheeses, tomatoes, beans, and potatoes; and real breakfast foods like porridge and at least six cold cereals along with fresh and dried fruits, a variety of nuts and seeds, yogurt, croissants and pastries, toast and jams, a variety of juices, and tea, coffee, and espresso options. Finally, just around the corner is The Royal Sportsman Hotel, Restaurant and Bar for lunch or dinner, while a short stroll down the High Street is Cadwaladers for amazing ice cream and both Edinburgh Woolen Mill and Cymru Country Store for shopping and souvenirs.
Nothing. No complaints or disappointments.

Lovely place, friendly staff lovely breakfast and loads of choice of both hot and cold food. The overall stay was great and I would definitely stay again. We were playing golf at nefyn, averdovey and Royal St David's so was a good central spot.
Fridge was a nice touch in the room but as it's in the wardrobe and it was hot when we arrived my room was like a sauna with a towel rail on full and the fridge making the wardrobe like a radiator. I had to turn the fridge off. I booked a single room which was very small and sadly added to the heat. Also the unit right at the base of the bed I kicked twice whilst in bed which was painful so anyone over 6 ft... Stay away from the single room I had (no7) these things are reviews not complaints.

What an amazing property! I was greeted and felt more than welcomed. The host was very open with the communication about me being allergic to pets and also the possibility of getting there late. I felt comfortable there. The room was impeccably clean. I am a clean freak and not one hair in the bathroom! Amazing towels. Shampoo and soap were provided and they smelled great! The bed smelled good, I just prefer softer beds and pillows. The bathroom (like I said, beyond clean) was very nice, shower pressure excellent and very hot water. We slept with the windows open because we like it cold and it was wonderfully quiet. I felt very safe, parking was available and also felt safe. Great location. Lots of restaurants around walking distance. This is weird but I looked forward to the breakfast. If you like a large section of breakfast items, this is the place for you! They had a table just for oatmeal/porridge and all different kinds of toppings. Then hot meals were provided, 10/10 on the omelet, I tasted the love in it. Then the next table was cheeses and cold cuts of meat plus jams and bread. What else. Could you ask for?
Nothing!

This was our third stay at the property, which is just a couple of minutes walk away from the centre of Porthmadog. There is good parking . Clair, the owner, is exceptionally welcoming and helpful. The house is beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean. The single rooms are small but have everything you need. The beds are comfortable and the shower is excellent. A small fridge with fresh milk and a bottle of water is provided. The choice at breakfast and the quality of the food is exceptional. There were other people staying there who were attending the same event and we should probably apologise to Clair for standing around chatting while she was trying to serve us all breakfast! I imagine that we will stay there again next time we attend the event.

We received a brilliant welcome from the proprietor. Our room was perfect - cosy, quiet and a good size. We both had a really good night's sleep. Breakfast next day was exactly as previous reviewers had described - a wonderful selection of cereals (including porridge), continental and choice of cooked breakfast (done amazingly quickly) - it really set us up for the day. In particular I must mention the attention to detail - so much thought had gone into the accommodation. There was a mini fridge in the room with milk for tea and coffee (Premier Inn take note!!), there was even an umbrella provided in the room. And the lodge is perfectly located for access to Porthmadog town centre which is a very short walk (metres!).
There was nothing to fault with the accommodation. My only issue was lack of familiarity with the geography of the area - future trips would be better planned so I know where I am going!

A lovely, characteristic place with plenty of charm. It was exceptionally clean, which made for a very comfortable stay. There was a fantastic variety of breakfast options, all fresh and delicious. The shower pressure was excellent too, which is always important to me. Overall, a wonderful stay and highly recommended.
The bed was a bit soft for my liking, and the room I stayed in was next to the entrance, so light sleepers might be disturbed by people coming and going. That said, after a long walk, I was far too tired to notice much, so it didn’t bother me in the end.

What a pretty little guest house. Our room was beautiful, beds comfortable, fresh milk for tea and coffee and even a room brolly for wet weather. There's a book exchange shelf, great idea. Check in was easy, There's good parking at rear of hotel and 2 outdoor areas to sit if weather is good. The High Street and bars/restaurants is a 5 minute walk, 10 mins walk to harbour or station. Annie looked after us perfectly and served brekkie and Tom cooked it beautifully. So many choices of juices, cereals, nuts, fruits etc. The Greek yogurt was divine. Highly recommend.
Cannot fault it.

Great location right in the centre of town but very quiet at night. Within five minutes walk of the railway station for the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway which was the purpose of our visit. Also within a ten minute drive of Portmeirion. The most beautifully prepared and varied choice of breakfast we have ever experienced in a guest house. Outstanding.
Even though the property was not full, we were given a room where the extractor fan in the bathroom was not functioning. We found the room rather small for a couple although the bed and room furniture was extremely good.

The owners were very friendly and efficient. My husband is vegetarian, the breakfast was absolutely amazing, never seen such a choice of food laid out, he was absolutely blown away, we have stayed in a few hotels in Britain and abroad. I'm not a breakfast person, but I too enjoyed the food. The location is great, it's just off the main street, so it's quieter, easy to get to the town centre. Really great place all round.
There was nothing we disliked.
