Excellent location, right in the heart of the Cwm Nantcol valley. The property has been beautifully furnished and is a very comfortable place to stay. The bed was comfy, the small fridge in the lounge was very useful and the WiFi worked a treat. The garden is gorgeous and is a lovely place to just sit and unwind to the sound of the river just a few yards away. The hosts are lovely people who are very friendly and really make you feel at home. And the breakfast is superb! A good choice of options and all freshly made. All in all, thoroughly recommended.

The location was beautiful, as was the accommodation. It was immaculately clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The hosts were extremely welcoming whilst also respecting our privacy. On arrival, we were able to help ourselves to an assortment of teas, coffee, and snacks. Perfect after a long journey. The garden area is so well kept and relaxing , especially with the sound of the river across the road. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area. I can not recommend Garth Engan highly enough. Don't forget to try the homemade jam and take a jar or two home with you ,it's delicious.

Joy and Iddon were great hosts - very helpful and accommodating. The breakfasts were excellent - quality ingredients, cooked to perfection. Lots of choice too. It was very nice to be looked after each morning. Beautiful patio and gardens. Great location - close to footpaths, restaurants and beaches. We appreciated having the extra space of the living/dining room and bathroom/utility room. Also the little fridge to keep drinks cool. Good shower, lots of hot water. Everything was clean and well presented.

The bed was a bit creaky and not the most comfortable, but it was fine for a short stay. The property is located on a road, but there was very little noise from traffic. Only the occasional vehicle passing. There is a walk from the parking area, down the side of the property, through a gate and round to the back of the property, which means more effort/time involved in unpacking and packing the car. However, these points are just for prospective guest information and we would overall recommend staying at the property. It makes an excellent base for exploring the local area.

Great facilities, idyllic and peaceful location, tastefully decorated and lots of space. The garden area is ideal for summer evenings. Breakfast was made with fresh, local and quality ingredients and very tasty. The hosts were so thorough and friendly, we honestly couldn’t fault our stay and would recommend to anyone.

Everything was perfect, the roads are very narrow near the property but not a problem at all as long you drive carefully and use common sense.

Very welcoming, beautiful cottage with a splendid garden and lovely views. Very easy to access, off road parking. Cottage was very warm and cosy, plenty of snacks, coffee, tea available to us throughout. Breakfast was superb, couldn’t have asked for more at breakfast. All served to you fresh that morning, plenty of tea, coffee, orange juice, fresh fruit and cereal as well as hot breakfast. I really cannot find one thing to complain about. Very good links to Beddgelert, Harlech, Criccieth and all 7 routes to the summit of Yr Wyddfa.

Thoughtful and kind hosts - went above and beyond to look after us. Very comfortable bed, shower room which effectively doubled as a boot room and own lounge with fridge / TV / books and maps. Option for laundry (small fee). Delicious breakfasts. All spotless.

Would have loved to use the log burner in the evenings - hope you get the chimney/flue sorted..

The property is in a great location. Incredibly quiet, but also close enough to drive to a wide range of excellent and enjoyable places. The facilities were perfect and the private outdoor patio was fantastic and saw a lot of use. Joy and Iddon have created a very welcoming environment that we would highly recommend to anyone who likes the feeling of a quiet home away from home.

Very friendly hosts and a really beautiful and clean house in a nice area. The breakfast was really good too. Incredibly much value for the money. Just don’t forget to read the info about how to find the place – it helps! Would for sure come back!

Joy and Iddon were exceptional hosts, we were hiking snowdon but wanted somewhere nice to rest before we set off (if you’re planning to do this, stay here) it was about a 40-50 minute drive, quiet and easy route. They accommodated our early morning departure time and arranged breakfast to be done for then! Can’t wait to stay here again!

Hospitality,cleanliness, everything was spot on , breakfast was amazing, garden is beautiful to sit in ,bathroom is first class with everything provided, bed is so comfortable, would highly recommend.

Maybe just a little thing ,the small fridge being on the floor is a little awkward to put items in if you suffer with back pain. Also somewhere to put any food items you take with you.
