For me, it was the perfect location, close to all the places I wanted to visit. Quiet and peaceful as, although close to railway and station, only one train per hour and that isn't noisy. Comprehensive breakfast options, both from cooked item menu and long row of serve yourself items on the counter. Decent sized coffee pot. Member of staff always available during the day. Car park large enough for a lot of vehicles. Within reasonable walking distance from the sea. Very good food at pub in Llanbedr (3 miles)

The manual gates at the level crossing could be irksome if one is on their own but, out of 8 times I needed to go through them, they were opened for me by dog walkers, etc

The breakfast choice was good. The cooked breakfasts were very tasty and we liked that we could choose individual items. The location was excellent. Quiet, rural, free parking, within walking distance of a beautiful beach and the country club for food in the evening. We hadn't realised the hotel was close to the train station and this was an added bonus as the train service along the coast was fantastic. We were given a room upgrade on arrival which was appreciated. The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. A lovely big bath with overhead shower in the en suite and ample hot water.

A bigger selection of toiletries would have been appreciated and the towels didn't have a fresh smell.

My stay was perfect and very enjoyable. I couldn't have asked for a better location. Cadwgan House is barely 1 minute away from the railway station and only a short walk to one of the best beaches in the UK. The owners were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. My room was nicely presented with great views of the countryside and sea in the distance, the bed was comfortable, there was a ample supply of tea, coffee, hot chocolate etc. I particularly enjoyed the breakfasts and friendly service. All in all a great stay. I can't wait to return!

The breakfast had every kind of addition you could possibly want. Jars of nuts,dried fruit,etc....to go with wide range of cereals. Good cooked breakfast. The beds were comfy with Egyptian cotton sheets. The house was across a level crossing next to a station with regular trains to Barmouth and north.......to Portmerion I think. Would need to check. The owners friendly and delighted to help. Even returned my clothes left in wardrobe!! Gave me advice and stain remover when got turmeric stain. They are kind and thoughtful.

There was lots to like; easy to find and plenty of parking, the room was well appointed and clean with good quality refreshments (maybe add some water glasses to the tray?) and the room was very comfortable. Breakfast was truly excellent with a great choice of fruits and cereals and lovely, perfectly cooked full breakfast. I can’t think of a reason to look elsewhere when next staying in Barmouth.

Quiet location with lovely views of the sand dunes beyond. Spacious rooms with one of the two doubles I booked having a wonderful four poster bed. Good, varied breakfast included. Welcoming communal sitting room/TV area for the guests. Parking on site.

Nothing in particular though the stairwells were somewhat caught in a time warp. Carpets need to be replaced whereupon the general feel of the hotel would be much lighter.

Room was just what I needed, my own bathroom and shower, everything i needed and very comfortable. I arrived too early due to weather and canceling half of my motorbike tour. Owner let me store my things until my room was ready and I went off to the beach and then the pub to wait. Breakfast was fantastic! So many cold options or a full English like I had. Kept me full for the rest of the day.

bed, quiet, welcoming

The first impression was not very good, because the entrance gave a feeling of neglect, mess and the smell of old age; / .. but it was only downstairs, rooms upstairs as standard and quite small but clean, comfortable bed, poor wifi., english breakfast plus sweet additions and fruit, the owners are very nice and generally satisfied with the accommodation, interesting access to the hotel through the railway dam that opened itself ;) .. also not far to the nearest small towns and attractions ;)

Breakfast was particularly good. We loved the muesli station and the choice was good. Sausages were lovely. Veggy breakfast provided also good, portions were big and I didn't need to eat again until tea time. Hosts were really friendly and the bar was cheap and diverse choice of drinks. Beautiful setting with lovely views. Beds were comfy and clean and we slept really well.

Lovely family ran b&b. Owners went above and beyond to accommodate allergies. Fantastic breakfast. Room was comfortable. Family friendly. Excellent location with the most beautiful beach in walkable distance. With a chipshop, corner shop and trainstation very close by. Ideal location.

This place is going through a renovation. It's going to be lovely once finished.
