From start to finish, our stay at No. 6 was just brilliant. Communication from Philippa and Brad before our arrival was spot on; really friendly via WhatsApp. We arrived an hour earlier than planned, and they’d kindly made sure our room was ready. Brad greeted us at the door with a warm welcome, showed us up to our room, and talked us through how everything worked: from breakfast orders to the TV. Waiting for us were some amazing chocolate brownies and sweets, such a thoughtful touch. The room was spacious, spotless, and had the most stunning view over the estuary. The bed was super comfortable, and the bathroom was immaculate, with both a shower and a bath. You can tell real care has gone into making sure guests feel relaxed and at home. Breakfast was delicious; plenty of choice and beautifully presented. Philippa was also great with tips on local places to visit, a wealth of knowledge! Honestly, everything was faultless. Warm hosts, gorgeous room, great location; we’d go back to No. 6 in a heartbeat.

No. 6 is characterful and charming with big bright high ceiling rooms, offering wonderful vistas from large windows with modern glazing . It is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The setting and outlook are spectacular and the property is a short walk away from Barmouth’s amenities and attractions. Philippa and Brad are excellent hosts, they are welcoming, friendly and happy to share their wealth of knowledge of places to go and things to do nearby. Brad’s breakfasts are delicious and are a cut above the usual offering, with something to suit all discerning tastes.

The attention to detail was second to none throughout our stay. The rooms is beautifully decorated, clean, and with good refreshments. The views from our bedroom were incredible. Breakfast was delicious with a variety of options you can choose from the night before. Host were really welcoming and happy to provide recommandations in the area. Excellently located, a little outside the towm which offers peace and privacy but still within walking distance of shops, restaurants and the beach. Easy off-street parking just in front of the B&B.

Lovely views from the bedroom window, especially with a cup of tea first thing! Comfortable room and bed. Good facilities in the bathroom with a good shower and choice of bath too. Enjoyed the breakfasts which were cooked by Brad very well with a good selection of choices. Both Brad and Philippa were very helpful and friendly and a had good range of information about where to eat and what to do. We really enjoyed our stay and liked Barmouth and the surrounding walks very much.

Nothing really. If being really picky maybe a choice of a brighter light by the sink if needed as bathroom was quite dark by design.

Beautiful views and convenient location to Barmouth. Very welcoming and accommodating hosts. Great at helping you plan your days. Breakfast was amazing! Room was spotless and decor was lovely with comfy beds, quality towels and linen.

Pillows weren't to our liking. Thin and lumpy, a thicker/fuller pillow for different guests preference would be good. Nowhere to comfortably apply makeup, i.e dressing table despite room having plenty of space. The mirror wasn't near any plugs for styling hair.

A period property decorated to a high standard and full of character with a great homely feeling and private parking available. Our room was huge, with a very comfortable bed and all the items you need. A good selection of options for breakfast, extremely tasty and an honesty bar on site was a great touch. Our hosts Philippa and Brad were so lovely, welcoming, knowledgeable of the local area with lots of recommendations and perfect hosts. Would highly recommend.

There wasn’t anything not to like!

Thank you to Brad and Philippa, No6 is a beautiful place to stay, with helpful and genuine hosts, their reviews are all great as you would travel along way to find somewhere better to stay. The room was immaculate, the art in the room was beautiful, the bed, furnishings, tea tray, bath gels all top class, the breakfasts were brilliant, in quantity, quality and choice, the view from the bay window along the bridge, no where better to enjoy the food, fair to say we loved it

Leaving

Breakfast was great, a really good varied selection and freshly prepared. Some rooms have the option for you to have breakfast delivered to your room. The property location is just perfect for views, and being a short way from the main town to be quiet, yet close enough to wonder into town for food (there are some amazing places to eat and drink) or for a bit of shopping. The hosts were, welcoming and friendly, very knowledgable about the local area, nothing was to much trouble. Really liked the communication via WhatsApp with the hosts, which worked really well for us. We couldn't have had a better stay at No6 - Thank you Brad and Phillipa.

We were unfortunate enough to have encounter some 'extreme' weather, (hurricane force winds and rain!!) however this didn't deter us from venturing out and enjoying our stay - it added to the 'fun'!

Our stay at No. 6 was perfect! Our hosts were outstanding and so helpful, providing a beautiful, tastefully decorated and comfortable room with great facilities and views across the estuary. Our breakfasts were absolutely outstanding, obviously home cooked with great care and several good choices all served beautifully, we chose to eat in our room as we had such great views but the breakfast room was also decorated beautifully and had good views of Barmouth Bridge. Thank you for such a fabulous stay - we hope to return.

I can't think of anything that I would have changed, however it is worth noting that parking is not available on site (except if you are lucky and find on-street parking).

The location was perfect for us - only a short way from the town centre with amazing views of the estuary and bridge. Our room was very well/tastefully decorated and the bathroom was huge! The chocolate brownies and sweets that were in our room were a really delicious treat. Brad and Phillipa were excellent hosts and the breakfasts (which we had in our room) were outstanding!

The weather! We were lucky on the first day but the rain hit on day 2 but the view from the room was ever changing so that was a bonus! Could have done with some shower gel or bubble bath though in an ideal world.
