I cannot fault this property. Immaculately clean, peaceful and comfortable. A perfect location in the town. Wonderful hosts that made our stay an absolute pleasure, even advised booking our restaurants in advance of our stay which proved invaluable. Fantastic breakfasts with quality produce and a great selection to suit all tastes. My daughter loved the daily specials and the homemade yoghurt. Little touches such as access to a fridge and fresh milk for our room. Plentiful sockets including usb ports, blackout curtains and bottled water, quality tea and coffee and even a safe. The little extras that set the property above others at this level.

Glenn and Sarah the owners are incredibly welcoming and made out weekend so much more positive and the breakfast was amazing everyday. The rooms were spotless and well equipped. They have thought about everything you may need for a trip away. The location is perfect its about a 3-5 minute walk from the station. Beach is extremely close. Got to keep our bags in a separate area when we checked out because our train was later in the day so that made it so much easier to enjoy our last day. Couldn’t fault anything about the place. It was perfect!

We loved the location of the property as it was close to the beach and the town which made it easy for us to see the sunset at night. The room itself was very clean and it had all the toiletries we needed - the room was very quiet throughout the day and night especially for the location. We enjoyed the breakfast every morning as it gave a wide range of options as well as different specials everyday. The optional extras box was a good choice by the property owners as it enabled privacy as they don’t come into the room whilst guests are staying there.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. There was no problem catering for my food intolerances. I felt truly pampered and in safe hands. The food was exceptional, good quality and cooked to perfection. Nothing was too much trouble for Glen and Sarah, they were super organised and had thought of everything you could possibly need. I definitely recommend staying at Ocean Drive and would stop again.

The only thing I would change is the curtains linings, although they were thick lined curtains, blackout linings would help to block out the bright street lights which illuminated the beautiful bay window. I kept waking up during the night thinking it was morning and was up for the day between 4.30 and 5 am🤣 however this may not affect everyone as it's pitch black where I live so I'm not used to street lights.

The friendliness. I was going back to Barmouth following a seven year absence due to a relative’s relocation to the south to be near his son and then his subsequent death last September. Glenn and Sarah made me feel so comfortable and were very welcoming which made the experience so much easier for me.

The stairs were a bit much for me, being right at the top, but hopefully I will have a lower floor next time - and yes, I would love to go back!

The hosts were polite, welcoming and exceptionally accommodating. They were able to meet my dietary requirements which made my stay all the more comfortable.

Our bedroom window was a little smaller than I would have liked, however it was the last room available at the time of booking. Next time, I will book earlier so that I can chose a room with a large bay window. Regardless, the views of the sand dunes and the sea were beautiful :)

The bedroom and dining room were spotless. The shower in the room was excellent and not a spot in sight. The beds were comfy and the beddng spotless. There was tea and coffee faciliities in the room. Glen and Sarah go out of their way to ensure the perfect stay. The breakfasts are brilliant with plenty of choice. I recommend the homemade yoghurt it is really nice.

There wasn’t anything that bothered us.

The hotel was small, clean and tidy. The owners were very friendly, and we had an enjoyable stay we had a good breakfast that set us up for the day. The hotel was on the front with a sea view and we were able to park for free.

Excellent location, the owners were very nice, although I never really got to meet the lady of the house. I like to keep to myself and I think the owner worked that out and was respectful of that.

The TV, for me it needs replacing, I pressed the TV guide, it wanted a pin, anything other than channel/volume up or down it wanted a pin. Lots of channels were missing which I am sure I have had at other places I have stayed at in Barmouth. I would have liked the tele to have usb connection, which it did not, again showing the age of the tele. As a solo traveler the TV is quite important for the night time, so I would look into that.
