The staff were wonderfully friendly and helpful throughout our stay, checking that we were happy, what plans we had, providing local knowledge and directions as well as catering for my vegan dietary preferences at very short notice. The room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable! Parking and accessibility was great and the lobby area with the beautiful fireplace made things especially cosy.

The only thing I would change here was that the cold tap in the bathroom only seemed to give warm or sometimes hot water. I completely understand this was hooked up to the water pump for the rest of the room/house and it really didn't cause any issues (just a bit weird brushing teeth with hot water :) )

From the moment we were greeted when we walked in, to the last when we left, the owners were welcoming, friendly, informative and couldn't do enough for us. The room was comfortable, relaxing and well maintained.....felt like being at home. The sea view from the room just couldn't be beaten. And with it being in its own well established grounds, the lodge was not overlooked by anyone else, so there was an incredible sense of privacy as well. Breakfast was great and in a relaxed dining room where you could chat with other guests if you desired.

The only negative is that Harlech itself didn't have much in the way to offer in terms of restaurants or evening entertainment...... Also, a small fridge in rooms or communal area might benefit future guests.

Breakfast very good. A little sparse with the fruit selection, but the full cooked breakfast was excellent. This is a beautiful and characterful building, and the views out over the bay and beach are stunning.

The only issue was that the property was quite cold at times. It is a large, old building, with big rooms, and windows to match, and my sympathies are with the owners, it must be very expensive to heat in very cold weather. To be fair, extra heating was available in the shape of a fan heater in the bedrooms

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Crown Lodge! The location is fantastic, making it easy to explore the surrounding area. The view from the property is truly stunning, providing a perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. Each morning started with a delightful breakfast. On top of that, the owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommend this place.

We had a wonderful time at the Crown Lodge. The view from the property is out of this world. You see the dunes, beach and entire bay and mountains far into the distance. We had a sea view room with unobstructed views. The lodge is a beautiful old house, full of authentic woorden details. I loved all the different wallpapers. Our room was big, very clean and had a very comfortable bed. Breakfast had many options and was delicious. The couple running the hotel was very friendly and chatty. We enjoyed our time in Harlech very much.

Absolutely amazing stay in a large, comfortable room with incredible views. We appreciated the table and chairs, where we could enjoy our cup of tea and drink in the stunning scenery across the golf course and bay, with mountains in the background. The hosts were friendly and welcoming without being in any way intrusive. Breakfast was first class, freshly made to order and perfectly cooked. A superb location for visiting the many local attractions. A thoroughly relaxing break. Thank you so much.

The Crown Lodge in Harlech is an impressive building which stands high on a hillside in Harlech. The rooms are very large, spotlessly clean, with a lovely en-suite and fantastic panoramic views over the beach and sea below with the Llyn Peninsula spanning the horizon. The bed is large and is the most comfortable my wife and I have ever slept on, bar none. Breakfast is excellent with plentiful choices of cooked food plus toast, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, coffee and tea. The hosts Linda and Mark are a friendly couple making for a completely relaxing stay.

There is nothing negative to say about The Crown Lodge.

The outlook was lovely. We did stay long enough to enjoy the garden. The views were incredible over estuary and distant mountains. Inside the house the furnishings were comfortable and very clean. The bedroom was large & very comfortable bed. Shower facilities all good. Staff were attentive and obliging when we requested fresh towels etc. Thanks to all the staff.

A slight disappointment in seeing the tubs at front door neglected. Would have been more welcoming if had better display.

The bedroom and the bathroom were a very good size with a beautiful view of Harlech's beach and golf course.

Although Harlech appeared large it is in fact quite small and despite the heritage of the castle and the beautiful beach there isn't much choice of evening food or restaurants only opening on certain days between set times. Be prepared to travel further afield or book up in advance.

The hotel was lovely and the staff were very friendly. The beach is stunning and unspoilt and the surrounding landscape is beautiful. The ice cream shop is lovely definitely visit here.

The town of harlech is a lovely little town but plan ahead for eating out. There are a couple of little cafes and a pub but not much else in the way of eating out. Barmouth is nearby and they have quite a few choices. That said I would go back but I would plan ahead for the evenings.
