Great location and fantastic views. The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout our week long stay, couldn't fault the service at all. We ate at the bar some evenings and the food is also fab and very nicely prepared with good portion sizes. Breakfast in the conservatory was also brilliant with the views it afforded whilst munching toast! Executive room had loads of space for a week stay so we didn't feel crowded. Beds comfortable and all the amenities you'd expect inside the room. Honestly the best hotel I've stayed at. We both had a great time.

Can't find anything to fault it was a great stay.

Ideal location to climb Mount Snowdon and propose. The trail starts across the road. The breakfast was fabulous. Rooms were spacious and had everything we required for a comfortable stay.

Some of the breakfast staff could have been a little friendlier. I felt like an inconvinience asking for a hot breakfast and then having to return for a knife and fork. She replied "They should be already on the table". I had to explain why they weren't on the table rather than her just going to obtain some for me. That made breakfast a little uncomfortable. However I didn't allow it to spoil the holiday experience. Overall it was a lovely place to stay.

Hotel is well located and the garden is pretty to sit out in. Breakfast was excellent, just what is needed for a day outdoors. The rooms are fine, on the smaller side but we were in Llanberis to be outdoors. We were grateful for the fan as it was very warm. The bar has a range of local drinks (beers/gin/whiskey), alongside the usual fare. There is a lot of space on the ground floor to relax with a drink, as well as the garden.

The toiletries are not great – I would recommend bringing your own. Our room was set up as a twin which was rectified to a double when I reminded reception of my request, though because we checked in late in the evening (9pm), we had to wait until the next morning. I would say that when set up as a twin, the beds are quite close together. On the whole, the room seemed a little pricey for what it was but it was a sunny weekend in mid-August and the breakfast makes up for it.

We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel for our short road trip in N.Wales. The location is excellent, there's parking available, the staff are very nice and efficient, the room was spacious with comfortable bed and a very nice bathroom with bathtub. The breakfast was also very nice, plenty of variety and enough food for everybody. We weren't lucky to get the tables with the wonderful view, but there were many seating options in the main hall. The whole hotel gives out an air of serenity and calmness which goes very well with the beautiful scenery around it. Despite there being many guests (mostly hiking groups), it wasn't overcrowded and it was relevantly quiet. For a very reasonable price, this hotel provided everything we needed for our stay. Would definitely prefer it again.

Royal Victoria Hotel in Snowdonia was a surprise. Classical hotel with lots of charm. Breakfast came with the room and was in the venue’s restaurant, which had great view over Llanberis town, Dinorwig Slate Quarry and surrounding Snowdonia mountains. It was 100m from the Snowdon Mountain Railway station, the main attraction and the Llanberis Lake Railway. Only down side was our room was on the top floor and very hot with no air conditioning only small window. It was a little small for us as we had a lot of luggage, thou this not the hotel’s problem.

All meals: breakfast and dinner as well as service in bar. In particular on one occasion when the staff member serving on the bar in the early evening asked for assistance due to the number of guests waiting, three other members were there in next to no time: very impressive. Attitude, commitment and engagement of staff and management to ensure a warm welcome and pleasant stay. Definitely the hotel location.

Nothing specifically but the internal lock in my room -229 - did not function. While this didn't worry me, I consider this a very worrying and concerning matter if a single female were to occupy the room. I did mention this to the duty manager on the Monday evening.

Hotel was nice, great location and the staff were polite and helpful. Good sized car park and the breakfast options were good also 👌 The hotel is right near the start of the Llanberis path for Snowdon.....

My only gripe was the room was boiling hot as there is no air conditioning and there appeared to be some kind of kiddie locks preventing the window from opening. To be fair my visit was in August so heat was to be expected.... a tower fan is provided which does give some relief but at the end of the day your just pushing hot air around the room 😰

The hotel is in a fantastic location and has great views of Snowdonia. It is well situated for a number of activities and the garden space is a real bonus. Breakfast was delicious and catered well for meat eaters and vegans alike! The staff were lovely and the other food we had at the hotel was also delicious. The room was spacious and light and overall we enjoyed our stay.

The beds were not the comfiest (being a little hard and springy) and it could have been made clearer at the time of booking that the hotel is undergoing renovations/improvements, especially given the price.

We arrived late, almost at midnight, without a reservation. The night staff were helpful, but they didn’t have enough authority to fully assist us. It would be better if the hotel trained the night staff to handle last-minute guests for the benefit of both the guests and the hotel. It wasn’t their fault—they did their best. Thank you, Garett, for being kind and helpful. The breakfast was great—I loved the sausage—and the service flowed smoothly. Also, the location is excellent—just a minute’s walk to the railway station.

We had hot water, but it was too hot and couldn’t be adjusted. A staff member came to help and kindly offered us another room to shower in. Thank you for being helpful.

Dinner and breakfast standards were exceptional. Virtually no wait from ordering our dinner till it arrived, piping hot, well presented and fantastic taste! We stayed here for 2 nights and both commented on how lovely the food and service was. The hotel is literally at the foot of Snowdon and is a perfect base to stay for exploring the mountain. We will definitely stay here again as the value for money is well worth it.

The double room decor was a little dated. Sealant round the bath and sink was pretty stained, old dark wood around the bath and sink and a lot of stains on the ceiling. The double bed mattress (2 single beds pushed together) was very hard. Baring this in mind, however, the room itself was very clean.
