The location is fantastic. Located right next to the castle and only a few yards from multiple restaurants and pubs. There is no parking at the hotel; however, there is a large public carpark directly behind the hotel that only charges £6.00+ for 24htr parking. What a deal!

This hotel has absolutely NO food. No restaurant or breakfast. The advertising is misleading. Luckily, there are multiple coffee shops close by. Downside...they don't open until 9:00 a.m. So, if you are in need of an early morning meal you are out of luck. Another issue is that NO staff are in the hotel overnight. This was not explained to us upon check-in so we did not know how to check-out the next morning. The only option we had was to drop our room keys thru the letterbox of the pub. You will not be provided a check-out receipt because there are no staff on the premises (this was at 9:00 a.m.).

Simple yet effective, located in the heart of Caernarfon right next to the castle, room was spacious and clean, bed was really comfortable, and facilities downstairs are as you would expect a pub, a word of warning this was a stay during the week, I do suspect if staying here over the weekend it could be rather loud, but at the time we stayed it was perfectly fine, staff were super helpful and friendly, Diolch yn Fawr! 😁

Some parts of the bathroom felt dated and worn, but it is not something I found any issue with, as it had limited to no impact on our stay and it was clean no matter what

Staff were very friendly the room was nice and big Shower was nice and hot Location was fantastic in the town square next to the castle Food in the hotel was good at a reasonable price and the drinks were nice and cold

The window in the room needed a little repair so you could open it for ventilation to the room The bathroom needed a exhaust fan as it gets a little streamy when you have a shower But those are very small issues if I was back in Caernarfon I will stay at the Y Castle again

The location is excellent although there is no parking at the hotel but there is plenty of car parks close by. You can park close by after 4.30pm until 8am for free and there are cheaper car parks than behind the castle if you look around even some free parking 24\7 if your lucky enough to get a space. There is no option for a breakfast but Wetherspoons is only 5 minute walk away.

The bar is open late Friday Saturday and Sunday up to 2am with loud music and karaoke so unless you are taking part you can be kept awake especially if you have a room above the bar. Would of liked breakfast included but didn't ruin my stay. I would definitely stay there again.

Perfect location. Plenty of free parking within walking distance if you bother to look around. You can park almost anywhere after 5pm until morning. The castle is right next door. The views are amazing.

The only downside I can think is the fact that the kettle had to be put on the floor to use as the lead wouldn’t reach from anywhere else. Worth putting up with for everything else. They don’t do breakfast but there is a Wetherspoons 5 minutes away.

It was a lovely little hotel. Great size room, very comfortable and very friendly staff. It was very good value for money in an accessible location.

The doors were very heavy and you could each one slam each time it was opened. There is no parking , but there are plenty of affordable car parks to choose from.

Very friendly staff and check in was very easy. They said if I needed anything I was just to ask, Biscoff bicke's were a nice touch to ave with my coffee&there was deecaff. The room was great, blackout curtains,own shower and toilet with shower help, shampoo etc. TV and bed was clean with plenty of pillows&towels for the shower. It was well situated with a shop right next door& plenty of others. I was allowed to bring food back to my room&was not pressured into eating in their restaurant downstairs. I would highly recommend if you are looking to go somewhere where they don't babysit you but are more than willing to help if you need them too

The view from our window was amazing could watch the sea go in and out and knew what times it would be. The room was amazing and so clean and fresh. And also made sure to top us with coffee etc which I didnt have to go ask you did it before we came back each day thank you.

Basic facilities, comfy bed, kettle with tea & coffee and bottle of water provided. Rooms on first and second floor, accessed by stairs only. Central location on the square close to the castle.

No lift if needed. Bathroom needed decorating. We didn't mind, but the rooms were above a pub open till 2 am.

I arrived to a friendly welcome from the bar staff. After a quick check-in, I was taken to my room and given a quick explanation about the keys. My room was clean and nicely decorated with a fantastic view over Afon Seiont. The bar was lively and a bit noisy, but I was warned about that, so it wasn't an issue.

Some of the decoration was a bit worn, but this didn't detract from my stay. Sadly, the hotel had suffered from a fire on the day before I arrived, so there was no food available. However, being in the centre of Caernarfon meant that there was plenty of choices to be found.
