It's definitely one of the best hostels that I've been so for! The location is exceptional (inside the city walls and a few steps from the castle and city center), it's very clean and comfortable. But the highlight is Sue, the owner and one of the most amazing person I've met in my trip. She is always making sure everything is good and helping anyway she can. She is also the cooker and the bartender (and she is amazing doing all of these too!). There is a bar downstairs very cozy where the locals also goes too and there always something happening there. If i ever get back to Caernarfon, I will definitely stay there again!

Lovely staff, atmosphere, facilities clean and tidy, beds were comfy, with individual lights and charging points. Gluten free bread and cereal at breakfast. If you have a "normal" diet, you would love the simple, but plentiful continental breakfast.

No designated parking, but I was lucky with finding a post 6pm place nearby. All the jams and spreads were in sharing jars, which is a little difficult on the cross contamination front for coeliacs, but I never expect special treatment. Storage space for bags was at a premium

Lovely cosy, clean value for money hostel located in the centre next to Castle and many pubs and restaurants nearby. It was a great pleasure to meet Sue the owner who has completely transformed this B&B. Her work ethic is truly to be applauded and admired and she has so many experiences of world travels to share. Has recently acquired a hotel in Bangor each room with its own en-suite including full English breakfast. Definitely will stay there on next visit to Snowdon

A very inexpensive, comfortable and clean means of short staying somewhere, which is managed very well, by Sue the proprietor, and her small team of administrators and support staff. I booked in for 2 nights, for attendance at the Caernarfon Food Festival, where I was a volunteer on the Yes Cymru stall. If you are comfortable sharing your space with others, maybe outdoorsy folk, then I would thoroughly recommend Ty Glyndwr, if ever visiting Caernarfon, or the nearby Eiri National Park.

There is usually always a snorer, but I don't think it was me - Most fortunate it was only one of the intermittent ones!

I've stayed here before. Su and her sraff are always very helpful. Not a full English breakfast but a perfect breakfast if you're going walking for the day. Bar down stairs with a good choice of well kept beers, cocktails, etc. Perfecr location. Near the rrain staton and the bus station. A perfect base for getting around Snowdonia by bus.

Also the bar closes at 11 so you can get a good midnights sleep without disturbance during the night

Parking can be tricky but some careful powering can lead to a free spot within walking distance.

Very nice family room in the attic and with a sea view! Very comfortable beds and sofa and big TV. Very clean and cosy. Clean toilet and shower. There is a kettle and a microwave available and a full drawer of cutlery. Continental breakfast is available, and there is an option for full English if you pay extra. Very nice land lady. And generally, very good value for money. I recommend this location. The only minus is lack of parking and during busy weekend it might be a problem.

SUPER friendly welcome from Su, who also sorted out towel and ear plugs, and laid on special early breakfasts. The bar downstairs was also a hidden gem - fine beer selection, live music and good company. Awesome central location too.

Water pressure in the showers was a bit tame, but can't really help that on the top floor. Having to be picky about the place says a lot about how nice it was.

I stopped over for one night and drove over to Snowdon the next day which was just a 20/30 min drive away. I also parked over night in a car park round the corner which was free during the night. Location was great, surrounded by picturesque streets. Decor in the hostel was great, a really nice aesthetic and you can tell a lot of effort has gone into it. Su was really welcoming and friendly. There was a nice and simple breakfast and I had some toast and fruit. There was also an option for a cooked breakfast. There weren’t many people staying so Su sorted a room to myself which was great. Wi-Fi was great and also plenty of plugs for charging in the rooms. Rooms were well heated and I didn’t get cold in the night when it was baltic outside. Lots of local bars and restaurants to choose from in the area. Would definitely stay again and maybe see a bit more of the town/beach in the summer.

The only issue I had was there’s a bar just across the road so it was a bit noisy with the single glazed windows. But not the hostels fault of course. It was a Saturday night also. Just a tip to bring earplugs if you’re visiting on the weekend!

The host was very sweet and accommodating! There were no women-only dorms available. I requested a women-only dorm if possible, and she did her best to accommodate that even though it wasn't guaranteed. I told her it was more of a preference, but she still was able to make that happen for one of my nights (which I appreciate very greatly!) They also had a live band play for one of the nights, they were so entertaining!

(Context: I'm a digital nomad that was working during my stay). There wasn't really a good place for me to work on my laptop. I was able to work in the reception area, but people would get me confused with someone who was working for the hostel. It wasn't the best place for a nomad, but otherwise no other complaints.
