Excellent location, amazing indoor swimming pool, spacious family room, separate bar (indoor pub) and restaurant. Good selections for breakfast. Car parking dotted around the hotel with lots of space. Overall highly recommend hotel for visit to Snowdonia and surrounding areas.

Kids under 16 can only swim until 6pm, however most nights we didn't return to hotel until late. Not a deal breaker but worth bearing in mind if you're travelling with kids.

Parts of the car park were very steep !Walls in the room very thin could hear everything and bathroom in the double rooms very small and the safe didn’t work did report it but still didn’t work

The breakfast was good - full english, muesli, fruits, coffee. The room was quiet and comfy. The parking is big and location is very convenient as for reaching the city from mountains, as for city walks. Big ASDA in front of hotel for any snacks you need in hikes. Nice SPA zone with sauna, steam room, cold shower, jacuzzi and pool.

The light in the bathroom is operated from the switch near the room entrance - you always need to go far, which is quite weird. There were only four plug sockets in the room - be prepared if need to charge some electronics. The breakfast did not have any fresh vegetables - only grilled tomatoes for full-english, and no pancakes mentioned in the advertisement in the lift. SPA rules are very strict for kids (<16) - always need to have adult with them, sauna or steam room is forbidden, the pool is shallow and quite cold, jacuzzi is in the pool, so quite cold too, no early morning or late evening access for kids.

The swimming and facilities were really nice, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Parts of the hotel were dated, the first room we was given was at the rear of the hotel was dark ( possibly because of the scaffolding that was also all across the back of the hotel) dated and in need of a renovation. It also had a dreadful continue humming noise, which I reported to reception within 10mins of checking in, as they wasn’t sure what the noise was or where it was coming from they moved us to a room at the front of the hotel, which we was told was a newly revamped room and likely that room didn’t disappoint.

My rib eye steak was perfect and my wife’s lamb steak was beautiful. Free parking is a real asset The lounge areas are pleasant The swimming pool was good The gym is small but very well equipped

The hotel is currently being refurbished with scaffolding around part of it. It does feel slightly tired in parts

Room was hot and door to adjoining room banged a lot

The sauna and steam room were good and the changing rooms clean. Bed was comfortable and overall had a pleasant one night stay.

The bathroom light switch was by the bedroom door which was the other side of the room so very inconvenient. The shower was warm but the head only gave out a single stream of water. Also no shelves in the shower to pop my stuff on. Breakfast was nice and I'm glad they had oat milk but this was kept with the cereals whereas it would have been good to have a separate carton next to the coffee area in the next room.

We was staying with 2 dogs and it was a nice suprise to find a dog bed, bowl and a bag with dog treats and a ball. The staff were very helpful and always friendly, the reception, bar and pool staff. The room was very spacious with a double bed and single bed and plenty of room for the dogs. Breakfast was good.

I have taken 2 point off for the following:- The lunch/dinner menue was a bit basic. I think it could do with being updated with a bit more choice. Food over the last few years have changed so seeing more of a trend with food would of probably made us stay and eat at the hotel. Also the Sunday lunch finished at 2pm which in my opinion is early. The pool was quite cold, so sitting in the jaccuzi area wasn't pleasant. There was no shampoo or conditioner in the showers. Hardly any body shampoo came.

Warm, clean, big room. Comfy bed. Friendly staff. Nice pool and sauna.

A little noisy late at might. Could hear people above walking around.

The accommodation was very good and staff very helpful.

Beware when parking at front of hotel. The parking spaces at the front of hotel are very narrow. We had parked carefully between lines, however another driver had difficulty negotiating parking, caused damage to.our car and drove off without leaving details. As our car has cameras all around car and with video footage from hotel..we were able to pass info on car involved to North.Wales Police and insurance company. If spaces were bigger and cars prevented from parking directly in front of the spaces...this may have been prevented. Staff however at hotel were very helpful.
