Directions from train station, very clear. Accommodations very pleasant. Staff could not have been more attentive and helpful: front desk, house cleaning, cafe, restaurant.

I went to a show at 7 pm on campus - meant I had to settle for a sandwich purchased at Cafe before 4pm. - Not much to choose from. Sandwich was barely edible. My alternative was a pizza, which I did not want. There wasn't time for a meal at restaurant, and no guidance as to other spots on campus to eat - unless I missed that. Also, too many emails. why did I need to provided info you already had to pre-register me?

There was plenty of parking spaces available plus disabled parking in my case. The room was spacious and very clean. We retired to bed early and our wing of the building was quiet and peaceful. There was a lovely view of the Menai Straits from our window in the morning. Breakfast was self-service but was very good and plenty of it. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again in the future.

There's not much to complain about really. The premises are old and were probably students' halls of residence in the past. For the older generation or some disabled people the flights of stairs may present a problem, but there is a lift which we made use of. The only other issue was at breakfast. Only a minor issue, but we would have preferred pre-warmed plates for the cooked breakfast as the food didn't stay hot for long once served.

The staff were exceptional. However, regarding room change requests, when a customer seeks to change their assigned room for any reason, the focus should promptly be on providing a resolution rather than engaging in discussion about why the change cannot be accommodated. Demonstrating empathy is crucial; it is unlikely a guest would be comfortable sleeping in a room that does not meet their needs. Similarly, it is questionable whether a guest should be expected to pay for a room they did not want. Furthermore, I expressed my discomfort with leaving my bank card details on file. Despite this, I was persuaded to do so. Given that I have not been asked for these details in the past two years from other hotels. I question the necessity and potentially the legality of this practice. Notwithstanding this concern, I commend the staff for their excellent service. The hotel itself is well-maintained and clean, and the quality of the food is outstanding. Special mention to the Polish girl serving at breakfast, she is totally and absolutely amazing, she is quick and efficient doing it on her own at the buffet! What a star ( too bad I didn't get her name)

The Centre was not very busy and for the three nights we dined alone. Despite this the full menu was provided and the quality of the food was excellent. Our room was spacious with a nice view over the Straits. Comfy bed and spotless ensuite. At a very cold time of the year in Wales the heating was exceptional.

Bearing in mind the Centre had few guests our room the Centre only had a small number of guests, our room (which was excellent) was on the third floor of a wing. The lift only went to the second floor. In fairness we had not told the Centre when booking that lift access would have been desirable.

we stayed here to climb Snowdon and it couldn’t have been more perfect! very conveniently located from transport and food options, the room was extremely spacious with a gorgeous view and we enjoyed the breakfast very much. all the staff we interacted with were very lovely too (: the only possible downside was that it was a slightly confusing route to get to our room from reception, but thankfully my less directionally challenged partner helped navigate us around. we absolutely loved our stay and would 100% be back if we ever found ourselves visiting Bangor again!

Room was simple and comfortable. It can be a bit easy to get lost as there are a lot of hallways and a distance to walk but we managed. Breakfast was lovely and the majority of the staff were absolutely lovely. We stayed for my graduation at Bangor university and it was absolutely perfect for that. The response time to questions on the app and accomodations made for late check in and late check out were fab.

Sadly on our check out day one of the receptionists was rather rude to my disabled mother as we had struggled getting her out by check out time. I also saw the same young lady being quite rude to other customers that were asking her for help.

Great location on University campus. Up high with great views of the Menai Straits and Anglesey. Generous parking facilities. Friendly, helpful reception and restaurant staff. Great breakfast (sausages were fantastic- best I've tasted anywhere in recent years 😋). Nice bar and restaurant facilities. Rooms were warm and water is hot - you don't always get that even in some of the best hotels. Felt like a very safe and secure place with access to town within walking distance.

Rooms quite functional but serve a purpose- it's a kind of conference/residential facility so they have all the facilities, but not "luxurious" so to speak. Took me a while to figure out where the bar was, as it was separate from the dining areas. Different levels of stairs in the building, a bit confusing but you get used to it after a bit. No major criticisms.

I had a really great stay here! The location is super convenient — just a quick 10-minute walk from the bus station and around 20 minutes from the train station, so getting around was really easy. My room was amazing, with a beautiful view of the lake. Plus, it was spotless and got cleaned every single day, which I really appreciated. The breakfast was really good too, with plenty of tasty options to choose from. What really made the stay even better was the staff — they were super friendly and always willing to help with anything I needed. All in all, it was a really comfortable and enjoyable stay, and I’d definitely recommend it!

The location of this historic building is within an easy downhill stroll into the city centre, Upper Bangor and the various university buildings. (Taxi service back from central Bangor was very reasonably priced) Beautiful views over the Menai Straits from the comfortable room. The breakfast was excellent as was the service by friendly staff who took the time to stop for a chat. Everywhere was clean and well cared for. Parking for disabled provides easy access to reception and beyond.

Navigating around the building can be tricky at times because of the layout and the only other slight niggle was the lack of USB ports in the room.

Interesting historical buildings on uni campus, nice view onto the Menai Strait, good quiet location in walkable distance to the train station, bus stations, shops, restaurants and the pier. On prem bar with tables outside, with view.

Perhaps at lower end of four star expectations. Breakfast was more often than not a tad chaotic, with sometimes too few, sometimes slightly disorganised staff, on approx. half of our days there resulting in a degraded breakfast experience due to buffet not getting replenished, tables not ready, coffee/tea requiring repeat asks, broken toaster, ect.
