There were two of us and stayed in one of the pods. The lighting (especially at night) was very good. The option to have breakfast was also very good. Hardly any noise so, a very comfortable night's sleep. The location was very good and the drying room was superb.

The only gripe was the road leading to the YHA. However, the location was ideal but, that's all. PS. The pod had two twin beds and a double mattress placed in the back. Only a suggestion but, with the knowledge of how many staying, couldn't you have a collapsible table and two chairs options and the ability to roll the mattress up. Table and chairs could be placed under each bed. Again only a thought really.

The location was wonderful- idyllic and quiet, despite being a short walk from all the amenities you would need. The views were stunning, with curious lambs charming our small children. We only planned to stay for a night and ended up staying 3 - that says it all really. The pods were small but the clue is in the name and space was used well, sleeping a family of four comfortably. The heating was quick to work and efficient, with the bathroom facilities- more than adequate given there are only two pods on site - only metres away. Not just would, but almost certainly WILL stay again. Staff were very helpful and understanding.

We didn’t use the communal areas at all so can’t comment on these or the WiFi- we were out all day every day. But I have nothing critical to say whatsoever.

Great location and really friendly, helpful staff! The only downside was the huge price difference between weekdays and weekends. I changed my booking dates and wasn’t refunded, but I’m not complaining because I’m glad the date change was possible. Prices are around £35-40 during the week and £140 on weekends. Other than that, the staff does a fantastic job, the guesthouse is tidy, and the drying room works well. The dormitory is very warm, and the bathrooms have hot water – perfect after a day in the mountains!

I rarely bother writing reviews, sorry. However..... the main reason I am doing is the staff. It's a YHA hostel so you expect cleanliness and decent facilities - this more than hit the mark there. The staff though were exceptional, wish I'd got their names - a young lass and a guy with a ponytail is all I can offer. Attentive, friendly, engaging, helpful etc etc etc.They didn't just respond but were proactively interested. I actually felt like a VIP! Hats off

There was a ram and sheep that kept trying to butt their way into the building through any door they could find. They didn't do it anywhere near for as long as I would have liked......

Clean, friendly, efficient, no issues, able to use all facilities at all hours as required. Beds equipped with individual light and charging station complete with USB-A sockets per bed, is quite a nice touch, and very "today" but still handy in this day and age.

Noise from piping / water or heating or some other source made quite a rachet. Whilst I had ear plugs to drown it out, my friend did not. No Guest access to freezer (thus not 24h which limited my ability to get my freezer blocks refrozen, needed to get cold stuff up the mountain), just one of the fridges having a small freezer space up top as is common would have been sufficient.

Location is excellent, hotel condition was better than expected. The beds were very comfortable

Too many IDs requirement as normally all hotels just ask for one ID to check-in. They asked for IDs of everyone and I had a bit of issue as one person had forgotten to bring ID but overseas card helped. Check-in time of 5PM and checkout at 10AM is very bad. The room was hot as no fan or AC is provided but it was tolerable as we were too tired.

The staff were very kind and professional, providing very clear check in instructions and ensuring we were aware of all the facilities available to us. The room was very clean and neat, clearly having been cleaned and inspected before our arrival. The communal bathrooms were clean and we didn't have to wait to use them at any time. The staff went above and beyond to help us, we left an item in the car that had dropped us off and when it was left at reception the staff made an effort to have it reunited with us. We stayed at a number of places in llanberis and this will be our only choice going forward.

Everything great, we had noisy male guests smoking weed on our corridor and shared toilets - One man turned up in our room at 2.40am - think he had got confused - he was probably more horrified than us! We should have locked door but it's a noisy door and lock with 4 menopausal women going to the loo frequently in the night! We did find it funny - we'll get our own bathroom next time

Honestly, I love staying at YHA—it's never disappointing. It's always clean, I feel safe and it's great value for money. We stayed in the pod, which was lovely and the shared bathroom was really close and again, super clean. The mountain views were beautiful. We did the BBQ and loved it! The kitchen was well-equipped—you could easily cook a 3-course meal if you wanted to haha!

NOTHING :) Just a note for visitors without a car: it's quite a walk from the town center in my opinion, especially on cold days.

Place was fabulous - been before, and I love it, great self-service kitchen, beds comfy with own lights and USB ports. Easy access via bridal path to cut through to Ranger Path and onto Snowdon summit. Only 10min walk to town centre Llanberis, and very close to stunning waterfall. Quiet serene location with awesome views. Highly recommended.

A mass of unruly very loud kids / children (Scout Group and/or DofE Group ?) en-masse blocking entrance hall, and then literally leaving dozens of pairs of very wet boots and equipment in the reception area (trip hazard & dirty!) Whoever the Scout Leader was, please instruct your group to have More Respect for other guests, and staff at the YHA. Scout Leader should know better, and not teaching children to be tidy and respectful is a massive failing on their part. Nothing to do with the quality of the hostel - and NOT an issue with YHA at all - this is about other 'guests' not respecting the YHA.
