Excellent location , Caernarfon castle is a short walk away definitely worth a visit . The black boy inn is a superb place to stay . The staff enhance the experience with attentive and professional dilligence. A true warm Welsh welcome awaits you on arrival ,all the team are a great bunch of lovely people from breakfast table to evening drinks at the bar with the friendly locals from the area . Would most definitely stay here again soon .

Very friendly staff who helped with any requests Food was very good and well priced. Greta beer selection. We stayed in a nearby house which was lovely and also quiet which sometimes pubs are not. Central to the town albeit a very small town. 5 mins from the castle. We found the locals were very friendly and welcoming wherever we went. Would certainly stay again £15 for overnight parking if you choose to stay in the private one next to the pub but it is very safe and secure and 10 feet away when you forget something! so I happily paid up.

A Easy access and modern shower would be lovely

The location is great, We dropped off our luggage, then accepted the free car parking by the castle which is a pleasant 5 minute walk though the walled town. Our room was stunning with a big four poster bed which was so comfortable. The bathroom was a little bit basic, but very clean with good toiletries. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food is a real selling point, good choice, very generous portions and excellent quality.

Our room was perfect as it was quite cool when we were there, but I can imagine if it was hot it might have been a bit too warm. They have supplied a fan though, which would help a lot.

The room was fantastic but you had to be aware of the low beans both in your room and in the narrow low stairway s to get there. I have a few bumps on my head to price the point. The location is right in the middle of town so close to everything. Plenty of car parks near by, plus you can park for free after 4.30pm until 8 or 9am almost anywhere.

I think breakfast should be included in the price as it is expensive to add as is everything else. Luckily Wetherspoons is right next door. I also didn't like the fact that I couldn't get a drink at the bar at 10.30pm on Sunday over the bank holiday even though you are a resident. I would only stay again if alternatives where fully booked.

beautiful old hotel, we loved our room which was modern, comfortable and had everything we needed. the staff is very friendly and helpful. the location is perfect if you want to explore North Wales and it’s close to Snowdon. we also loved the pub downstairs!☺️🍻 hopefully we will be back one day

there is no parking, if you lucky you can get a spot in a nearby public parking (which is free from 4:30pm to 10am) we were lucky during our stay so it was not an issue at all

Super friendly staff, beautifully preserved historically as it's one of the Oldest Inns in Wales. Cosy room and tasty food. Very close to Caernarfon castle.

Not the Inn's fault but there's a nearby car park that I paid £10 to stay overnight because I didn't know the area and was tired when I arrived. When got to the car the next day had to have it washed as the seaguls did a number to it and even after paying for the wash I had to clean it further as it didn't come off so I would avoid that car park if I knew this.

The room was spacious clean and well equipped. The bar had real atmosphere and served great food. Speciality beers were available.The Black boy is situated at the centre of Caernarfon, within the castle walls. Parking is available at the hotel at £10.0₩ per day and free vouchers are available for a car park close by. A very popular pub with friendly staff and good home cooked food.

There was nothing we didn't like.

An amazing experience to sleep in a property with the walls of Caernarfon. All the staff were very helpful. Our room was very comfortable although the pillows were too firm in my opinion. The breakfast was a winner and special mention to Delwyn who was so very helpful at the breakfast service and prevented me from burning the Inn down using the toaster!!! Parking is arranged by the staff and we managed to park at the side of the Inn at a cost of £10 per night. However there is free parking a short walk from the hotel.

Pillows.....I found them too firm and created problems for my sleeping. Otherwise all good.

This lovely hotel is located in an atmospherically ramshackle group of ancient buildings in the shadow of Carnarvon Castle. It is so close to the city walls that we, and the satnav, became somewhat confused in the final hundred metres. The welcome could not have been warmer and the room was comfortable. We ate in the bar where the menu was fairly typical pub food served by friendly staff, who may need a little more familiarity with the drinks stocked. When we got home we found we had left a bag of chargers and cables in the room. The person we spoke to (Amanda?) could not have been kinder or more helpful and organised them to be posted back to us the next day. This was service beyond any expectation and highly commendable.
