Excellent location , Caernarfon castle is a short walk away definitely worth a visit . The black boy inn is a superb place to stay . The staff enhance the experience with attentive and professional dilligence. A true warm Welsh welcome awaits you on arrival ,all the team are a great bunch of lovely people from breakfast table to evening drinks at the bar with the friendly locals from the area . Would most definitely stay here again soon .

The location is great and the restaurant was very good. Staff were helpful when we checked in and our room was tidied every day. Our bathroom was large and very up to date with everything working. Very close to mass transit and numerous good restaurants.

Once again, two females after climbing Snowdonia and hiking western Ireland were assigned to a room upstairs. Very steep stairs and a very small hallway. Heaven help someone if there is a medical emergency as a stretcher wouldn't have fit. Staff helped us upstairs but we had to carry our bags downstairs. Maybe we look too fit...

The location is excellent, inside the walled city and 5 minutes walk from the castle and quays. The hotel has a number of buildings and I stayed in the Town House, just round the corner from the main building. The room was spacious and clean and included a kitchen area. I ate in the main building which has various dining options including outside, a bar area and "coach house". I chose the bar which is snug and comfortable. Food can be ordered via an app, and service is efficient. Dinner quality was excellent. Breakfast is the coachhouse and again all excellent. There is no parking on site but the hotel can help with street parking if needed. I paid less than £5 for overnight

The only negatives is that the curtains in the room do not provide a good black out and street lamps are are just outside the room. The free WIFI was working but there was no Internet. Not the hotels fault but getting to sleep was also not helped by somone playing music until the early hours in the room below or next door.

Comfortable queen size bed and good pillows, good size room, lovely bathroom, good quality fittings, plenty of drawers and wardrobe space, lots of power points and USB slots. Very clean throughout. Breakfast was choice of hot food, cereals, toast, fruit, yogurt. Ate there both nights and food was excellent. Good size portions, brought out fairly quickly, and very tasty. Wide choice of drinks in the bar, which had a good atmosphere. Staff very friendly and helpful in all areas. Brilliant location. We have rebooked to go again later in the year.

We parked in a car park nearby as our vehicle was too big for the pub car park, but this wasn’t a big problem - just a few minutes walk away.

Room seemed quite dark as it was down some steps (Room 31) but on reflection this was a blessing as it was 30degrees outside. Fan was already in the room and we made the most of this and it was enough to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. Room and bathroom clean. Staff very welcoming. Location was perfect (just inside the castle walls) and parking was provided by the hotel down on the quayside. We didn't use the car for the 2 days of our stay. Had dinner one night and the food was excellent. We will be back. Thank you for a fabulous stay!

Very friendly staff who helped with any requests Food was very good and well priced. Greta beer selection. We stayed in a nearby house which was lovely and also quiet which sometimes pubs are not. Central to the town albeit a very small town. 5 mins from the castle. We found the locals were very friendly and welcoming wherever we went. Would certainly stay again £15 for overnight parking if you choose to stay in the private one next to the pub but it is very safe and secure and 10 feet away when you forget something! so I happily paid up.

A Easy access and modern shower would be lovely

Lovely heritage property within old town walls. We loved character beams in our room ( although had to watch our heads!). Wide range of menu choices in restaurant area. The staff member on reception was exceptionally helpful with advice on parking, activities etc

Our room on the top floor was incredibly hot- we struggled to sleep even with fan on all night. In warm weather it would certainly help if staff opened skylights a bit to encourage airflow. Everything was tightly closed when we checked in so stifling hot initially.

The receptionist (Jacqui/Jasmine) was really helpful. All staff were polite and friendly, but she was even more so. My room was great, a four poster all to my self. The bathroom was clean and had everything I needed.

My room was great (No 4), except it was too hot, and the fan was noisy, - it is the height of a heat wave, but the insulation of the walls and limited opening of the windows meant a restless night. TV channels are a bit limited, and I didn't manage to get Netflix working.

The location is great, We dropped off our luggage, then accepted the free car parking by the castle which is a pleasant 5 minute walk though the walled town. Our room was stunning with a big four poster bed which was so comfortable. The bathroom was a little bit basic, but very clean with good toiletries. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The food is a real selling point, good choice, very generous portions and excellent quality.

Our room was perfect as it was quite cool when we were there, but I can imagine if it was hot it might have been a bit too warm. They have supplied a fan though, which would help a lot.
