Hotel is right under the Menai Bridge on Anglesey so the road noise on the back rooms can be loud. My Wife is disabled but the 'New' owners didn't have a suitable room so to get to our room we had to negotiate from the reception: 15 steps up, a corridor, a further 13 steps up, another smaller corridor, then 6 steps down, where we were met by the smell of drains... Only to find the electronic key card didn't work... The car park is huge & at the far end is a disabled ramp. Once in our room I found you don't get shower gel (so bring your own) & the sink leaks on the once repaired coupling. The room 12a was a decent size but the bed was 'sprung' & uncomfortable but at least the bedding was clean. The carpet was bogging & in need of a good clean but better than some of the threadbare carpets on the stairs. The Bar, Restaurant & outside seating areas were fab & modern. The Bar was well stocked & food was delicious. Unfortunately the 'New' owners appear to need to invest hugely to bring the rooms up to the same standards as the afore mentioned ground floor communal areas. A bit of remodeling & a lift for the disabled will also need to be installed to enable ALL to use & enjoy the place. We had our 10yr old Staffy with us who also struggled on the amount of stairs but a walk down to the ancient 11th century St.Marys Church is located right on the shoreline of the Menai Straights with an unmentioned 'concrete' Statue of Lord Nelson right down on the low tide waterline celebrating his victory at Trafalgar. Well in total there's an old saying "you get what you pay for" & in this case it sums up our stay at just £68 + £15 for our dog for the 1 night we stayed.

I like the location, it was great. They had a restaurant, they host for company parties, the Garden is beautiful. The building has character and Class...I loved the feel of it. The staff were friendly and came to assist me immediately as soon as they saw me. How water was running well....I was so happy about that. The bed is very comfortable.
My toilet seat was broken. I could hear the baby next door who woke me and the parents at 2 am in the morning, There is no Lift...so getting to my took several corridors, a few stairs up and down....almost seemed like a maze. Carrying a Heavy bag up those stairs was quite a challenge.

It was all about location for us - very close to our daughter studying in Bangor. We had to leave early the next morning so I cannot comment on the food. It was easy find, just off the Britannia Bridge, plenty of parking space. We were warmly greeted upon arrival. There is a real character to the hotel, lots of nooks and crannies and it was very plesant. The bed was VERY comfortable and I am 6ft5 and 19 stone! My wife enjoyed the bath. I am not a fan of the shower over the bath, but I was able to clean. There WAS a lot of noise in the evening (I think we were over the bar) but this did not go on late into the night, which was a relief. I would stay again if we were up in north Wales again. Better quality than the "chain" hotels!! Thank you for having us.
To be fair, I can't really complain. Maybe tell us about the possibility of a noisy evening, but it was a Saturday night. In north Wales ;-)

Location was good for travelling. The hotel was good except our first room was not they did change us without question. Staff were all very professional 3 members of staff who were excellent were Ella Katy Georgia. Food was very good breakfast is definitely worth having and evening restaurant compliments to the chef
Our first room was very disappointing however we went to reception and explained we can't use a bath as there was a shower fitment but no shower they did say this cannot be fixed and moved us to a nice room

The staff were so friendly and lovely. The dinner was delicious. The restaurant / bar area was a nice place to sit, relax and have a chat
The rooms and rest of the hotel were very run down (mold, cracks, wall paper wripping off, skanky carpets, ugly bathrooms etc. but it is under new management so all of this will be changed in January 2026 as it definitely needs a full rip out and start again!)

Second time I've stayed here, this time different room and again it was really nice. Room is spacious clean warm, plenty of hot water for the bath. Bed very comfortable, sheets and towels, fresh. Quiet environment. Place is clean and tidy all over. Bar area was inviting and the breakfast was excellent value. Choice of cereals toast tea coffee fruit juice and fried breakfast. Over all it's just a pleasurable place to stay, and Ill continue to use it whilst it remains, like this.
To be honest nothing is really bad about the place. If I had to be picky I'd say the TVs are small screen, but I didn't really use the one in the room, and there is the odd stain on the furniture but this is age related with use.

The establishment does exactly what it is supposed to do: offer a quiet place to stay in Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch. It is about a 20-minute walk from the famous train station, crossing the street can be a little risky in the evening but with a little care it can be done safely. Special mention must be made of the restaurant, where the food is really delicious.
To reach the hotel on foot, there is a pedestrian walkway without zebra crossings or traffic lights, which requires some attention

Room excellent clean, comfy. I was in Room Elsa, bed very comfy, has a lovely bath after a days walking, first time I have visited this place, but will definitely use as my go to hotel. Didn't have a breakfast so can't rate that also didn't use the bar which I had intended to do., but fell asleep on the bed. The bar area did look plush so again will try to make use of it next time. Staff very friendly and helpful. So much better than a lot of other places I use in the past.
Didn't come across anything I didn't like, but as I say I didn't use all the facilities, but would be surprised if they fell short as the over all feeling was very positive.
