Mollie sorted the room exactly how I like it ( the duvet not tucked in) and asked the maintenance team to sort out the lights above the sink and bed. She responded quickly to my request. She was both friendly and professional - thank you very much Mollie ! 😊

It would have been great if the lights above the bed and sink were working when I arrived. This could have been checked before I arrived. The main lights were working but I found them too bright. By the time I arrived (9pm) the maintenance team had gone home so I waited until the next day to ask about getting the lights above bed and sink to be sorted.

The valley hotel is a lovely place, our room was clean and fresh only little down side is when we put the light on in the bathroom the fan was very loud but soon went off when switched off, great range of tea and coffee facilities and bottled water, just want to mention the Staff working there work very hard, they're very ubbeat and lovely, I think they were a little short staffed but they made us feel like nothing was to much trouble, food was lovely too, great drinks wine and beer range, breakfast was fantastic value for money excellent local produce and no long waits either, even when busy, we enjoyed our stay and used all the premises facilities as we had a long day and didn't want to venture out, we will definitely stay again. Parking is accessible too.

Our room number 18 was very hot, a fan maybe would have helped, I'm not to sure if they provide this, i didnt ask, as it was late, they do have a number you can call but i didnt use this, we didn't sleep to well, as it was a family room with four of us,i opened both windows as soon as we entered the room and left the blinds open to allow a breeze which then was very bright in the early morning, bed was comfortable and pillows, obviously we're in a heat wave so I wouldn't say it's the hotels fault for the very hot room just maybe a fan would help circulate the air, also the plugs next to the bed didn't work for a phone charger but wasn't a problem as we used a different one,

Location is good for getting around the island 5 minutes to hollyhead and traurder bay. staff very friendly and has a good atmosphere in the pub , they have live entertainment at the weekend. A couple of shops round the corner and a few food take out places, also theres a cafe. breakfast is good but the staff never got our order right. cereals and toast aswell as a cooked breakfast

rooms are basic and not good value for money they are very tired. The food was lacking in flavour had the pasta which was tasteless, and the pizza was very overdone. Fish and chips average.

Very nice pub and hotel. Very clean and managed well. However they could go a little extra mile for their customers and let them know before hand that during their visit there will be a band playing live music until 11pm (especially for families with children), and also trying to accommodate families rooms near each other, not far accords the other side of the hotel. Otherwise , I can't complain about anything else. Food was great, clean rooms. I like the little extras such as coffee and biscuits. To be honest it was the best 3 star accommodation I stayed in...

The hotel is very pleasant although a little dated. The location is convienent for visiting Angelsey Race track. The food is excellent especially the breakfast which is hot and cooked to order rather than luke warm from a buffet like you get in more up market hotels.

No lift and awkward stairs. Long walk around the hotel from carpark to hotel enterances, the garden door which is closest to the carpark is always closed, the other two doors are open at different times. Hotel like Angelsey in general is a little pricy, if it wasn't for the race track I wouldn't bother crossing the Menai Straits as Snowdonia on the other side is much more beautiful.

Great hotel, Comfortable room serviced daily.

Only problems we had came from the kitchen. Limited breakfast options, slow to replenish, on different days there were no coffee, no hot water for tea, missing cereals and on the last day of our stay Bfast was undercooked. Raw bacon and sausage…. We ate in the restaurant twice, over cooked belly pork, under cooked (raw) pizza base, dry hunters chicken. If it wasn’t for these problems we’d have given this hotel a 10 out of 10

The staff were absolutely wonderful, couldn't do enough for you. The food in the bar was delicious and really reasonable. You even get 25% off for being a resident but we didn't see the voucher in our rooms as we ate before dropping off luggage. Perfect location for using the port for ferries to Ireland. Children's play area in the garden is a lovely addition. Would definitely come back next time we travel over there.

We stayed here in a family room the night before catching a ferry from Holyhead port and again on our return journey. The first night we were in a room with a bunk bed and a double. Whilst it was clearly clean it did feel a little dingy. However the second night we were in a different room (double bed, with separate bedroom containing 2 singles) and this one was absolutely fine. This wouldn't put me off booking again as I couldn't fault anything else however I would request one of the rooms with single beds rather than bunks. The bar was busy on both occasions which speaks volumes for the hotel as a whole.

I liked the fact that the breakfast was included - one less thing to worry about in a new place. It also helped that the meals were tasty and generous. The room was spacious enough, everything was clean and smelled nice (and that includes the bathroom). The staff were friendly and helpful if needed. Another bonus was the pub/restaurant downstairs which made our meals completely stress free after all day of sightseeing and hiking.

There's nothing i didn't like.

I was impressed with the staff who were all very pleasant and helpful. I also thought the breakfast was very good. It included the option of a full Welsh breakfast, but there was also fruit, cereals, pasties, toast, yoghurt etc. Since Valley is a small village with only one other pub, it's not surprising that many guests opt to have dinner at the hotel - and this was also done well, with an attractive menu including starters, main dishes and several "lighter bite" options.

I was quite happy with my room even though the window was "painted over" so you couldn't see outside. It was also not possible to open the window - which meant you couldn't get any fresh air. It was a little noisy in that you could hear other guests walking down the passageway, shutting doors etc. This didn't particularly bother me - but it was quite noticeable. The lighting in the room could be improved.

The Staff were extremely friendly. I was late for breakfast and they offered me coffee and food to take with me. It was just me and my Dachshund "Donnie". All the staff were brilliant. The young lad with yellow hair and the other girl that were around at breakfast time were so friendly and professional. I spoke to the room cleaner too. I didn't know it was 10.30 check out (my fault) and she told me not to worry and don't rush. An unsung hero of the staff. Anyway, next time i drop someone off at Holyhead, then I'll come to stay for the night with my sausage dog, before I set off back. Thanks again all the staff at "Valley hotel". I didn't like not being able to stay there for longer. It was such a laid back, nice break, even though it was just one night.
