The hotel met my expectations and was generally fine. The staff was great and very helpful when I needed assistance. It would have been a better experience for me if the breakfast had more vegan options, but I am used to that. I only drank the coffee.

The only real negative issue was when I signed onto the wifi, I was automatically enrolled in some health club. I only noticed this upon receiving a welcome email from the company. I had to write them back to cancel, which they did, thankfully. It wasn't a major issue - just annoying.

No chance to have breakfast either day. Would like to commend the staff, very courteous. Especially "Mary" at the front desk when I checked in and also when I checked out. She was helpful with directions and helping me with a car problem I experienced before I got to the property. Very professional but also personable. The property is very attractive and convenient. Bed was comfortable.

My bathroom was showing a little age, the commode seat had an area of wear that was peeling. The drapery liner was missing the rod to pull it closed.

Quiet and tucked away while still being within walking distance of any and all basic amenities you would need. The staff are overwhelming friendly (Aileen especially deserves a mention), the pool is well maintained and poolside specific towels are provided. The parking is plentiful and easy to access and the rooms are fantastic and comfy.

The room was more than sufficient for a 2-person stay. The breakfast was fresh and well-supervised, and the breakfast staff person was friendly and helpful. The front desk staff was efficient and friendly at both check-in and check-out.

People trailed in water from the pool all the way into the hallway and elevator, making it a safety hazard. I would have liked more oversight of those incidents.

The lady in charge of breakfast was GREAT. Every morning, she greeted guest to make sure they were they happy and full. She was pleasant and full of ideas and suggestions to make your day fabulous! The eating area was clean, and the coffee was hot and fresh.

The last night of our stay the price jumped up due to the Superbowl, but I guess that is expected anyware. We still enjoyed our stay.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was clean, without any unusual odors and the breakfast was awesome. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

It was a little confusing getting to our hotel from the highway. The highway is busy and Holiday st. is not easy to see with all the other signs and business entry ways. Once you do find holiday st. and turn in it looks like the best western and the country inn are the same hotel. We actually pulled into the best western first and were told we were at the wrong hotel. Not sure how to make it better but it is my only negative.

Location was very convenient, and the room was very comfortable, Good for a more extensive stay or business travel. There was a small refrigerator and a microwave in the room. Seems to be in a very safe neighborhood.

The breakfast selection could have been better. Would have liked to have had more healthy options, like sugar free yogurt and berries, and more whole unprocessed foods. Not a big fan of what seemed to be powdered eggs, for example. Also, the guest room, while otherwise well appointed, could have used a small table and a couple of chairs for in room dining. One of those coffee tables with a top that raises would be a good alternative to eat at the couch. Even a few TV trays would be helpful.

Ailene was awesome. She does the breakfast. She stays right on top of things and extremely friendly. Very knowledgeable about the area too. All of the staff was great.

The slamming of the door to the steps right next to our room. We really wish there was a soft closure on it. People are so inconsiderate of others and don't think to stop it from slamming. There were several people having a party in the lobby, and they were very loud until after midnight, running up and down the stairs, letting the door slam and talking constantly in the hall. They also had a dog on a leash(no dogs aloud) with a jingling tag runnnv up and down the hall. I did open the door and ask that they quiet down a little, but that seemed to make it worse.

I liked the availability of breakfast as well as the fresh fruit. Oatmeal is always a plus.

I was disappointed that the breakfast area was under construction and was moved to the meeting room, which was a much smaller area. I was not informed that the area was under construction until I arrived, which also meant that to access the pool, one had to go out the front door and around to the side gate. This made it less private, which was a negative.

I liked the property because it was easy access to downtown Covington and New Orleans while being in an incredibly safe location
