This place is one of the most beautiful places you can stay at anywhere in the world. We were certainly not expecting the level of coool design, attention to detail, friendliness, comfort and coziness we found when we got to this hotel. We started at the reception area, where we were provided with tons of information upon arrival and, when asked about where to have dinner, the nice gentleman in charge told us about the best places to eat, informed us about the places that were open and closed that day and even called to make a reservation for us. I then went to the restroom at the reception and was astonished at the gorgeous bathroom they had there!! The room was even better. Every single detail was thought of. The room was wonderful, lights were awesome, beds perfect, the bathroom was a dream and everything was spotless clean. I have even taken some ideas from the room to remodel my home!!! This is one of the best places we have ever been. A wonderful surprise you cannot miss!!!

This has to be one of our favourite stays in New Zealand! Our room was graciously upgraded to a deluxe suite by Dave & Sue which we very much appreciated. The rooms were jaw-droppingly exquisite and luxurious with an amazing view of Lake Tekapo. Very spacious, clean, well furnished and stocked with everything you could need for a holiday. Parking was free and plenty. Location was only a 5 minute walk to Lake Tekapo and the Church of the Good Shepherd, and 10 minutes to restaurants which was so convenient. Accommodation definitely exceeded our expectations - looks much better than in the photos and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious stay in Lake Tekapo.

Uncomfortable sofa; very slippery, minimal support. Uncomfortable chairs, although less uncomfortable than the sofa. TV; way too complicated Smart TV, is this really necessary when clients are only likely to stay a few nights? Just a list of channels is more than adequate. Window beside the main door; even though it's frosted glass, light comes in and is in the direct line of the bed. No washing up products if you decide to cook

I emailed the property and asked about a shuttle service if available only 30 minutes before our arrival but Steve himself picked us up which was extremely convenient. In addition our booking was upgraded and we had been given a stidue with the best view of the bridge and the mountains. Everything was extremely clean and kitchen facilities were just perfect. The design of the room and the room comforts were all so pleasing.

I can not ask for anything more. We are supper happy.

The hotel was far nicer than I expected for the price. The decor was great, the room was large and very equipped. The location was perfect being just across the street from everything in the main part of town, including shops and sights.

Venturing out at night when we first got there, the lighting on the property was not so good and it took us a while to realize there was a very nice path. The path was towards the edge/cliff going down to the river, so we were reluctant to go that direction, but in the daylight it was perfectly clear and not a problem afterwards.

We had an excellent stay at Grand Suites Tekapo. The two-bedroom suite felt like new—clean, spacious, and thoughtfully equipped. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen fully stocked with essentials like tea, coffee, cocoa, and fresh milk, and the inclusion of a guest laundry room was a great convenience. The central location was a standout feature, situated just across from the Church of the Good Shepherd and a short 5-minute walk to the lake, restaurants and shops. Highly recommend this place, and we look forward to staying here again.

We had a great stay at the Grand Suites Lake Tekapo. We visited on our honeymoon and they upgraded us for free to large suite with an amazing lakeside view, large modern bathroom and a super comfortable bed. All the facilities in the room were great. We didn’t cook during our stay but the kitchen in the suite was very well stocked. The manager also gave us some excellent tips for activities in Lake Tekapo and the next leg of our travels! Would recommend!

The rooms were wonderful. Large with TV, sofa, great bed, good kitchen facilities, and lovely continental breakfast. The bathroom was up there for space, a shower, and the cabinet (you could put your toiletries out). The view of the lake was good and it was nice and close to the town. The staff were very helpful and were happy to give you advise on things to do in town.

I don't know if it was just us or it's a NZ thing but if you arrive before 2 pm they are not happy campers and they weren't the lone rangers in this!

This is the 2nd time we stayed at this motel. we had a really good experience last year; therefore, we brought our parents this time. The location is very convenient, only walking distance to The Church of the Good Shepherd. we stayed at two bedrooms apartment on upper floor which have very beautiful view, and the lift is great for my parents who are not very good for walking though the staircase. And Dave & Sue and their team are very friendly, Sue told us where to eat and local events. Within the facility, the kitchen is very tidy & clean, everything is thoughtful, they even have a rice cooker. Bathroom is good size and clean, also they provide body lotion as the South Island is quite dry. Overall, we will recommend this motel to our friends.

The room is spacious, modern, stylish and well-furnished. We really enjoyed the stay, despite the rainy weather. Thank you for the great hospitality from Dave and Sue. We also loved the breakfast recommendation - you get 10% discount for brunch in Jack Rabbit.

Nothing about the hotel, but there appears to be a data breach issue in Booking.com that you risk getting phishing email on behalf of the hotel aiming to get your credit card details.
