We came to see my family in the area while their house was full, we have now decided just to stay at Hastings House when we come down in the future because of the amazing stay. Our hostess Elise was a fabulous cook and shopkeep, showing me amazing vintage in the front store. Obviously I had to leave with more then I came, and the extra love she puts into breakfast is definitely felt. Growing up just a few houses down and spending countless summers in the river across from the front door was an experience that I cannot compare, finally getting to enter that cute little building just off the corner. My partner and I have already booked for the holidays before we left and are so happy to have found this gem!

Elsie is a terrific hostess, turning our short stay into an adventure. She has created a secret garden and vintage shop that are lovely to explore. Elsie is a unique character.

The Hastings is a bit dark and would feel more welcoming with fresh light paint.

The hostess was very kind an accommodating. We really enjoyed her company before we would leave in the morning/evenings. Given the opportunity we will return to Hastings House Bed & Breakfast! We would recommend it highly to our friends and peers!

Stayed July 3 2022. The location is good. The breakfast was excellent, served in an interesting decor. Elise was the perfect hostess, inquiring about our well being and answering all our questions.

We found the property over crowded with "things". The bedroom we were assigned was very small: "Chinese room?" It had no closet or provisions to hand anything, and no window dark covering to keep the light out. I had trouble sleeping as a result.

Pleasant comfortable home. We stayed in the kin bed Safari Room. Nice big bathroom, comfortable bed. Location across from the river. Elise was great hostess. Full breakfast prepared to your preferences. Would definitely return if in the area again.

Elise was a wonderful hostess and provided delicious breakfasts. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The 2 kittens were cute and playful, and kept us from missing our cats. Lovely area, also.

The room and the house were very clean. We felt immediately comfortable and at home. Breakfast was very good and the owner was very kind and responsive to our requests.

Everything was really great! Maybe the bedroom might be slightly small for longer stays. However the room and bathroom are nicely decorated, clean and comfortable.

We liked the exceptional breakfast. The attention was excellent, the room was very clean, the house is located near the downtown area and had an impeccable view over the river. Would definitely recommend!

Elise was amazing and very friendly. She was an attentive and gracious hostess. Breakfast was delicious both days. My wife and I will definitely be back.
