I enjoyed the view from by room. The view of the ocean was spectacular. The hotel is great for relaxing and being right on Santa Maria beach, you didn't have to go far for anything.

The I didn't like was that entrance was a sliding door and looked over the back street. One day the maid must have mopped with old water because the smell left in the room was horrid. I got sick from it. Had to air the room out and use my cleaning products to get the smell out. If ordering a steak from the restaurant, ensure that you specify how you want it cooked and check it.

The atmosphere around the hotel was lovely. The scenery and the lights made a real difference to the hotel it felt like having your own mini apartment. The room was clean and elegant. The staff were amazing, very helpful and accommodating, nothing was too much trouble. Our porter, Leo, was fantastic. From the very beginning, he was helping my son and I find our way around the hotel and Santa Maria. The hotel is well situated right next to the beach and close to all the restaurants and shops. The infinity pool made for a nice dip after taking in the sun. The cleaner was excellent, very attentive, and kept our room in tip-top condition every day after breakfast. There was live music played most nights and the restaurant food was excellent. I will definitely be back to this lovely hotel in the future.

I think some of the breakfast could've been slightly warmer, specifically the scrambled egg and bacon. A few sachets of milk in the room would've been nice for some tea or coffee.

We had a look at other Hotels and Apartments in the surrounding area. The Hotel O'djo D'agua is easily the Best all-around location. Starting with the excellent Breakfast and sitting area. The Atlantic mere meters-away. The Breakfast Staff were hard-working and great. I don't know the Breakfast Managers name, but the gentleman was super cool and attentive. Excellent fellow. Two excellent swimming pools are adjacent, with a fully-equipped Snack Bar. Excellent food and adult beverages. Just beyond that, the beach starts. Lounge chairs under palm trees here. They charge a few euro's for the Lounge chairs. I assume it is because off-site folk try and take these chairs. The beach is perfect for swimming. The main shopping, dining, and party streets are a short walk away. Perfect. We had so much fun staying here!

We actually stayed at Hotel O'djo D'agua the week before. We had room #364. Loved the room. We booked directly, using booking for the 2nd stay. So, I tried to communicate with Reception that we would like to have #364, or similar, for our 2nd stay. I asked multiple times, through booking, and email. But, no one at Reception answered me. So, that was disappointing. The room we got in the end was fine. But, Reception needs to timely answer inquiries.

Superb location, close to everything in Santa Maria. Great BBQ night with good atmosphere and food. Very nice setting with pretty garden and swimming pools etc. Rooms cleaned daily. Really enjoyed the balcony with own hammock. Lovely photographer Buse, who helped us to make our memories unforgettable :)

We didn’t like the fact that even we were hotel guests, we still had to pay for the parasol and chairs at the beach.

The location is excellent, the restaurant and food was very delicious. Friendly and always smiling staff.

Improper communication and organisation of airport pick up. Despite their confirmation that a taxi will pick me up upon arrival, no one was available when we arrived. I made calls to the hotel but no one picked up. I had to take the leap of faith and get a taxi to the hotel. Upon arrival, no one had the decency to even apologise for what happened, no one to assist with the boxes. It was a non event and I really felt frustrated.

If you're looking to stay in an authentic local place, owned by local people, and experience the true essence of the area, Odjo d'Água is the perfect choice. You'll enjoy a full immersion in the local culture, gastronomy, art, and music. The hotel is situated right on the beach, offering the luxury of having your room less than a minute's walk from the ocean. The staff are the most welcoming and kind I've ever experienced, and their warmth will captivate you. I truly love everything about this place—the exceptional food, the atmosphere, and the incredible hospitality. I honestly didn’t want to leave.

I love everything about it—the balance of cost and services is exceptional. You have everything you need on the property, with the added luxury of having the ocean right next door.

The staff are very welcoming even though english was a barrier. The staff went out of their way to make you feel comfortable. We had the family room. I had my my 1 year old son and partner and we stayed for 2 weeks. Staff were really good and friendly towards my son. The family room was spacious and clean. Honestly can't complain. Service was very good always. Also, felt safe with cameras all over the hotel and security are on site all the time. They also have a life guard by the pool. It was good experience overall.

This is just being picky but we didn't have a Do not disturb sign in the room. Pool beds are charged for the day for 3 euros.

The location was lovely with a great view. Food at the restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff was very nice and friendly. I arrived late and a bit frazzled because I'd lost my jacket in the plane and they were very accommodating and patient.

Not a big thing but I would advise to check the fridge upon arrival and flag it to the staff right away if it is empty as I understand there normally should be a water bottle in it that you pay for at checkout. There was a bit of confusion because of this when I left but it was quickly sorted with the staff being very professional.

I traveled alone. I was looking for a place that was beautiful and tranquil where I would feel safe and able to enjoy the location it was absolutely stunning I couldn't fault this beautiful place, the hotel was stunning and throughout there was peaceful spots where you could chill and relax and enjoy in blissful peace. I enjoyed the local people they was welcoming polite and friendly the beach was clean and the sand so white. There was a feeling of community the locals looked out for each other as well as making the tourist feel welcomed. They had shops that had beautiful hand crafted things to buy restaurants all about that offerd some wonderful sal food all in all amazing atmosphere.

The only issue I had was on arrival I was welcomed by a couple of cats at the hotel grounds and, with me I having a phobia of cats I did think it was going to be a problem but to be honest they didn't bother me In the slightest. Apart from that I cannot find anything else I didn't like.

Very good location close to the pedestrian and shopping area.

The beach around the hotel does not allow access to the sea. There are sharp rocks and many sea urchins. The beach for swimming is about a 10-minute walk away.
