This renovated Bastide is a beautiful property located directly across the street from the Arc de Triomphe, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is only a short walk to the main historic district and the Roman Theatre. It has a great pool area and a lovely living room which opens to a terrace and garden. The dining room has all kinds and drinks and snacks available - consumption is based on the honor system: just write down whatever you take so that you can pay at check-out. The daily breakfast (served on the terrace) was great and the staff wonderful and accommodating. Parking at the property is a great bonus; and once we had the room key and gate entry code, it was super easy to come and go. This was a perfect base during our visit to Orange, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, and Avignon which is only 25 minutes away.

The location of the Villa Agrippa is excellent and was the main reason why we chose it, just 5 minutes to walk into the town centre. Once we got there, we found many other things to also be excellent such as the staff, the rooms and the lovely breakfast. And the view from our window was awesome!

There was no door on the shower so the bathroom floor got very wet! However not a huge problem. But the bedside tables were difficult to make any use of as they were round and so you could not put a glass of water on there or anything else really - how the bedside lamp didn't fall off was uncanny!

Villa Agrippa is a true gem! Perfectly located, a quiet oasis and yet walking distance to everything, easy access to roadways and highways, absolutely beautiful property and grounds ; our room was spotless, well-appointed and even had a view of the Roman Arc de Triomohe! Astride, our hostess , was so gracious and helpful with recommendations; the breakfast is hearty and outstanding, and there are great amenities like parking, a lovely pool, and coffee and beverage bar. The Villa is the stuff of Provençal dreams and the perfect base from which to explore the region. What a wonderful stay!!

Nothing, it was absolutely perfect!

Exceptional. 5 minutes walk from the centre of Orange, a chambres d'hotes with five or six rooms that was like staying in a well-appointed private villa. The downstairs area were the living and dining rooms looking out over the terrace, with large, beautifully decorated bedrooms on the upper floor, and the housekeeper/owner greeted us and provided breakfast, but the villa itself was left to the guests to enjoy. Super.

The location, right by the triumphal arch in Orange, is fantastic. You can swim in the pool and look at a Roman ruin, not many hotels can say that. The house itself is beautiful and has been sensitively refurbished. The garden is also lovely for lounging. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom is very well designed. The owner, Astrid, was very friendly and kindly let me check-in a little early, for which I was immensely grateful in 40 degree heat.

We would have preferred a buffet-style breakfast so we could have a bit more individual choice. I also found the air-conditioning in the bedroom rather loud, even with earplugs, and somewhat tricky to use.

Breakfast was thoughtfully presented, the rooms were meticulous, and the staff was exceptional. We loved our stay at Villa Agrippa!

Slightly off the beaten tourist path but Orange turned out out to be a charming and authentic Provencal town near to the highway and a good base for seeing Provence. A great value, too!

The property was well placed for visiting Orange or for an overnight stay not far from the motorway. The room was spotless, the bed was comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and the pool was refreshing after a long drive.

Nothing. We were in the attic room which has no view but this was clear on the room description and the air con was great, even at >35 degrees outside.

Everything. Beautiful house, large comfortable room and bed, superb location - close to centre, secure parking, friendly and helpful host. Was pretty much ideal for us - would liked to have stayed another night but they didn't have availability... maybe next time.

Perfect maison d'hôte in a central location and lovely house. Very quiet rooms. The staff was very nice and helpful: the breakfast was small but enough. Walking distance from the old part of Orange.

The pool is the size of a pond so not very engaging for swimming.

The pool and gardens were beautiful, everything was classy and sophisticated but not snobby. There was an honour bar with some wine, spritzers and snacks. The room was comfortable, clean and spacious. The location was excellent!
