Everything about this hostel is great. The private room was comfortable, and the location is excellent for exploring both Hongdae and the rest of Seoul. But what makes this hostel amazing, are the owners. They couldn’t be more friendly and constantly giving recommendations. The group chat amongst travellers helps create a great social stay

location is amazing really close to the subway, there is a nice breakfast included, wifi works great, as there is a single common area to social its really easy to meet people so if youre looking to meet people its a great hostel to do that

Yeah, first time hostel and they have set the bar really high for me. I loved the owners so much, they are really nice people so the place really made me feel at home. You’re being put into a Whatsapp group chat with the other residents, and someone is always in the mood for sightseeing, dinner etc. So you can always join someone! The staff will also text you (privately or in the group) for recommendations nearby, but you can always ask for it if it’s not on the list. The location was perfect. Not too crowded but still close to Hongdae (walking distance). I’ve met so many people from all over the world and I had a blast! Thank you for everything!

The hosts make you feel at home and cared for. They provide a wealth of information. The location is great. Nice simple breakfast is a great start to the day

Relaxed atmosphere, great location, extremely helpful staff with daily recommendations and always available when needed, highly recommended. 10/10

-Brian, Jina, and the volunteers (Ley and Dori) became like family to me. It's the only hostel where I've left tearing up. This is a mom and pop run hostel that feels like home away from home. -Everyone was super helpful and friendly. Jina and Brian gave great suggestions/reminders everyday of what you could do/eat/see. They knew all the hot spots! -Great common areas. -The hostel was super social without being a party hostel; people would go out every night, but were super respectful about people's sleep. -Great location in Hapjeong, just one stop away from Hongdae. I liked that it was less busy than Hongdae. It was also a 10 minute walk to the Han river, which was amazing if you ever get insomnia; you can wake up early and walk to sunrise. -People like Zzzip so much that that come back to Korea...just to stay at this hostel. I've never seen this before. But I completely get it. Zzzip was my favourite place to stay in Seoul. -Thank you so much, Brian and Jina!!!! -The soap smelled so good.

The only thing that might pose an issue for some is the limited floor space if you have a big luggage and need to repack your bag, but then again, it's a backpacker hostel, so try to pack light(er) [which is difficult in Korea because of all the shopping!]

Jina and Bryan were both so lovely! We were booked into a room upstairs but Jina sorted a room downstairs for us when she saw our large suitcases. The facilities are great, the free breakfast is good too, and the room was clean and cosy. Everyone else staying there was also super friendly too, travelling to a new country so far from home can be so nerve wracking but Jina, Bryan, and the rest of the guests at ZZZIP made us feel completely at home. The property is in the perfect place for exploring too, it's not too far to travel to other parts of Korea for day trips and there's also loads to do in Hongdae itself as well. We would definitely stay here again in the future!

Brian and Jinah are incredible and kind hosts! Each day they provide information about things to do, can answer many questions (they pointed me to a great spa when my back hurt), and create a safe and welcoming environment. The bedding is warm and comfortable and the room is cleaned daily by the hosts. The bathroom shower and toilet have doors for privacy as well. Laundry is offered and so is breakfast each morning (cereal, clementines, apples, milk, orange juice, eggs, coffee). The location is also perfect! Easy walk to Hongdae's busiest areas, convenience stores and coffee shops next door, and the bus and trains just minutes away. The middle school across the street also made me feel safe because it is a more residential area. There were many travelers from across the globe, and people are happy to spend time and talk to one another. My trip was even better because of this. I thought I would be solo travelling, but a roommate and I went out and from there we kept meeting new people! Zzzip made my stay comfortable and safe, and also showed me places I would not have discovered and helped me create friendships across the globe.
