The bed & pillows were very comfortable, breakfast was out of this world, so good and generous. Staff were trying their best to keep guests happy. Hospitality was great by the owners. The hotel was so different than other places, when we stepped out of our room we can see the skies. I would like to stay there again, as it felt like we were in a different world, vibrant in every way, beautiful colours and smell.

Music can go on till late, if you happen to reach the hotel late after a flight, take ear plugs. Also be careful not to lose anything, there are lot of staff and you wont know who passed it to who. I lost something that was not expensive but precious to me and I didn't find it. Better deal with owners, we had a friendly staff who provided taxi service for a higher price, so be careful if your on a budget. There is a taxi stand nearby.

The hotel location is great. It is close to the historical sites, the national museum and old market. Everything is on walking distance. The hotel itself is beautiful and offers everything you might need for your stay. The staff was great and extremely helpful. They let us check in early and helped us plan all our trips. Personal thanks to Mehmet for his great assistance. In the night there was lovely dinner with traditional turkish music and dancing. Fantastic atmosphere. And the breakfast... no comments. By the way, if anybody is looking for a driver to get to distant places, I highly recommend Ahmed. His English is not great, but google translate does the job just fine.

Nothing.

From the moment we arrived, it felt like we had been transported to another era. This stunning hotel, once a monastery, has been beautifully restored while preserving its historic soul. Vaulted ceilings, ancient stone walls, and serene courtyards creating an atmosphere unlike any modern hotel could offer. Each morning, we were treated to a traditional Turkish breakfast that was nothing short of a feast—freshly baked breads, local cheeses, olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, and an array of homemade jams and pastries. Sitting under the morning sun in the garden courtyard while sipping strong Turkish tea made for the perfect start to each day. Evenings brought a completely different energy. The courtyard came alive with music, dinner, and dancing almost every night. It felt like a celebration of life, with guests and locals mingling over delicious food and traditional music under the stars. We absolutely loved the festive atmosphere. What truly elevated our experience, however, was the staff. Every person we encountered was warm, attentive, and eager to help, offering personalized recommendations and going out of their way to ensure our comfort. The location couldn’t have been better—tucked away just enough to feel peaceful, yet within walking distance of all the major attractions. We explored the city on foot with ease, always returning to our peaceful retreat. If you’re looking for a place that offers charm, history, and heartfelt hospitality, this is it.

For travelers who are early to bed or sensitive to noise, the music can carry into the rooms until about 11:00 pm. It didn’t bother us—in fact, we looked forward to it—but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re looking for total silence at night

I had the pleasure of staying at this unique hotel situated right in the heart of old Sanliurfa, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The location is perfect — you’re within walking distance of the key historical sites, the bustling bazaars, and the vibrant culture that makes this city so special. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly (especially Mehmet) going out of their way to ensure I felt comfortable and well taken care of. Their warmth and attentiveness made my stay even more enjoyable, and it was clear that they genuinely care about their guests. The hotel itself is housed in a beautifully restored old monastery, which adds a sense of history and authenticity to your stay. The rooms are elegant and atmospheric, blending traditional architecture with modern comforts. The stone walls, arched doorways, and intricate details create an ambiance that transports you back in time. One of the highlights of my stay was the generous and delicious breakfast each morning. The spread was a delightful mix of local flavors, fresh ingredients, and plenty of options to satisfy any palate. It’s the perfect way to start your day before exploring the city.

A word of caution for light sleepers: the hotel hosts traditional “sira nights” every evening with a live band performing local music. The sound of singing, rumbling, and laughter fills the air until late at night. While this added to the charm and cultural immersion for me, it’s worth keeping in mind if you prefer a quieter atmosphere.

This place was a monastery, so it is incredibly beautiful. The breakfast is really incredible, by far the best of our trip through Turkey. The rooms are wide, clean, and super comfortable. The water from the shower is perfect, very hot, almost a sauna! (we went in winter). The staff is great, always willing to help and share information. Mehmet, the employee at the reception was great. He solved all our doubts and requests. The restaurant / bar is like having breakfast at medieval times. Amazing.

This was such a charming and incredibly heart-warming stay. We couldn't have expected the levels of hospitality and warmth from the staff, specifically Mehmet. He has definitely won our hearts and we look forward to coming back and seeing him again soon. Nahrin is a very impressive location - a magical 1200 year old converted chapel, which Mehmet gave us a detailed tour of. The room was gorgeous and made for a very cozy and happy night. A stay at Nahrin is a lot more than just a typical hotel, it is a very special experience in itself and we can't wait to go back. Thank you so much again!

This is a beautiful hotel and in fact has been a monastry, and the setting is beautiful with a large ventral courtyard, various terraces to relax, sunbath, read a book. The staff were excellent, so welcoming and helpful. The room was really big, spacious. The location is so central and overall we loved our stay and highly recommend. Fantastic value in everyway.
