After a long haul from Spain and way too many hours in the car, we couldn’t have been happier to land at this lovely little hotel in Brive. The staff were super attentive — honestly, it felt like they were one step ahead of us, offering spot-on tips without us even asking. I’d recommend this place in a heartbeat. It totally earns every one of its stars. We were driving, sure, but for folks coming by train, it’s literally a two-minute walk from the Brive station — and somehow, it’s still peaceful and quiet.

Look, nothing’s ever perfect — there’s always room to tweak things, sure. But honestly? Thinking back on our stay, nothing negative jumps out. It was just a really good experience all around.

The day when we arrive, we would like to check in at 14:50, and when we entered our room we found the room was not finished, and cleaners were taking a rest. So we went down and waited 30 more minutes until the reception desk inform us that the room is ready. During our 4 nights stay, one bottle of cleaning detergent was left in our room No mini fridge, so not possible to bring back some snacks like yogurt or pastries to store. You can tell that the hotel chose good material to renew the room (metal window instead of plastic window), but some part lacks some maintenance. Like the wall has some stains, the pipe of the shower is worn out and nearly cracking Pressure of the shower is quite low Very bad WiFi, we can only connect to the WiFi in the toilet

This was such a wonderful stay on our second stop during our honey moon. We had lots of luggage as we are driving through 3 countries and the room was big enough to accommodate all of them, plus our two dogs. This is a very dog friendly hotel and we really appreciated it. Everything was great - the bed was big and comfortable enough, the AC was perfect during these hot, humid summer days, the location of the hotel is just in front of the train station in case you'll come by train and it is very very close by foot to the city center and nice restaurants. The cherry on top was that we got the hybrid car parking spot (private parking of the hotel, also appreciated) and they gave us their hotel charging card to leave our car charging over night so definitely a plus! The breakfast is very good, a standard French breakfast with fresh pastries, good quality bread, butter, cheese, ham, eggs etc. Do not expect vegetables, but yes for fruits. When in Brive, we'd definitely return here!

This is an historic hotel with plenty of items from its past yet with modern bedrooms. All the staff we met were friendly and helpful, especially as we are not French speakers. As we like trains, being opposite the station was ideal and it is not too far to walk to the town centre.

As in most French restaurants, the vegetarian choices were limited. The bath towels were on the small side but this is a minor comment.

We were upgraded to a suite, which was an amazing space. The hotel was extremely comfortable, with friendly efficient staff. ideally located for the train station. Our dinner plans to eat out were stymied by torrential rain so we ate in the hotel restaurant which had excellent service and a decent menu.

Struggling to think of anything, I'll probably always say the coffee because hotel breakfast coffee is almost never as good as in a cafe.

The suite was a superb size, comfortable, and with a lovely view across the city. Parking was close by, and easy to use. Breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant produced some good fare, served by a pleasant and friendly crew. The hotel has been upgraded to a high standard.

As with almost all hotels, the (otherwise excellent) shower would be improved for older guests by the installation of a grab-rail.

I booked the hotel never having seen it before and frankly from the outside my wife and I were not impressed but with the manner of our reception and probably the nicest and largest bedroom we have seen for years we promptly changed our first impressions and had a most enjoyable stay

The outside needs a repainting but I think an adjacent building has been acquired at which time I assume the outside will be tarted up

Amazing staff, very cheerful and helpful. Underground parking across the corner, for peace of mind of leaving the car with luggage. Room was good, with a big bathroom.

All in all it was great, just some noises that softly disturbed my sleep. Air conditioner makes some noise, and from 6/7AM (when people start waking up) there are some noises of canalisation.

And bonus charging for EVs in their parking (1 spot when the company car is not there)!

Easy to find. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Nice and clean room. Big and clean bathroom and great shower. Comfortable bed. Excellent dinner too with exceptionally nice staff. Great breakfast.

The comforter on the bed was too much for the season. However, we just took it out of its cover.
