Excellent location, clean , nice bathroom and appreciated the breakfast.

Unfortunately we were told after paying with Booking.com in advance that there would be no water from 10pm until 5am. This would include no water for flushing toilets. I think that booking.com might be more flexible with cancellations in light of unforeseen circumstances. We paid $455 for the night in advance so we really had no other option but to stay. The staff at Carnegie Hotel was lovely but offered No compensation for the water except water bottles in the room. This situation makes me hesitant to book with booking.com. I believe that we should receive some compensation for this situation. Thank you.

Services are great! The hotel is clean, fresh, warm, recently renovated. We were allowed to do late check out and have our bags stored with conceiergefor free for the rest of the day. The wine and cheese night is fun! They served a lot of beverages. Breakfast is sufficient too. Staff are the best part.

No gym onsite but offers gym offsite for 15$.

Extremely nice staff through our stay. Room and bathroom are well setup. Simple but clean and all working well. Convenient location for Central Park and time square.

Expensive but this is New York City. Noisy area at night but not the hotel’s fault

The breakfast was good but there could have been a couple more options for example a meat or another choice of omelette instead of just cheese. Some people have dairy allergies. The bed was somewhat firm but other than these two things the hotel was great. The staff was excellent. Especially one of the ladies that worked the evening shifts. She was awesome. Offered use printed directions to all our site destinations and even as far as food recommendations. We will definitely be going back. Highly recommended.

The room was small but it did the job since all we did was shower and sleep there. We spent our days exploring.

This is a smart, small New York hotel, tranquil and with a great location. The staff is lovely and always willing to help. We had a superior room with a king bed. The room is not very big, but okay, with enough storage space. The decoration is standard. The bathroom is okay, but very small, with a good shower and no problem getting hot water, as it may sometimes happen in New York hotels. Breakfast is relaxed, either in the room or the small breakfast room, with good beverages and a good choice of food. It was our second stay in this hotel, which we highly recommend.

We were there for an extended stay and asked in advance to be on the high floors, but we were only on the eleventh! (the hotel has twenty floors).

Everything is great here. Beginning with the excellent location, close to Central Park, not a loud area, close to restaurants, the hotel is in mint condition, clean, rooms are the perfect size, bed is so comfortable for a good sleep after a whole day walking around the city. The hotel theme decoration is music, our floor (11) was the trombone floor, my husband is a musician and plays the trombone, it was coincidentally that we got that floor , and this was the cherry on the top! The breakfast was perfect , fruits, breads , bagels with cream cheese , cheese omelet . There is a coffee/ hot chocolate machine available 24 hours. Also chips, yogurt available anytime. In addition, everyday at 5pm is free happy hour with wine and cheese , nuts, grapes… I really loved it!

We like everything! Next time I’ll ask for a room with a view. Even when we were all day out, it will be nice waking up to a nice view, our room had the typical next building wall as a view

Lovely atmosphere, very home like, right at the heart of midtown Manhattan. I especially liked the generosity - free hot and cold drinks all day long, and happy hour with wine and cheese, and free snacks, every day. The tiny lobby area becomes a socializing gem! Breakfast is very good. Steps from certral park and from main subway lines.

The hotel is very small. Everything is compact, but nothing is missing. I was with a collegue who was very worried about the tiny size at first, but soon fell in love with the hotel because of the atmosphere and the amenities. It was an extremely enjoyable stay.

Terrific location. The Carnegie is a small hotel and it feels like it -- not part of a giant chain. Room was very comfortable, generously sized for NYC, perfectly clean. Outstanding staff: friendly, knowledgeable, easy to work with. WiFi excellent, room quiet -- what's not to like? The LEDs that sparkle on room electronics were at eye level, so that I could cover them up for a darkened room and a good sleep. All of the policies feel generous, not scrimpy.

The Carnegie is almost perfect. I would prefer to have the full price listed, because taxes and "facility fees" push the listed rate up considerably. Welcome to New York!

VERY clean room, with easy check in/check out and cordial, helpful staff. The bed was soooo comfortable. My back pain I've been dealing the past few days, went away after sleeping on this bed. Bathroom had great lighting. The shower provided water that was nice and hot. Slippers were available in the bathroom and a robe in the closet. The location was great. Near lots of public transportation, but also on the quiet side. I didn't have a problem with noise and fell asleep without ear plugs.

There was a stale smell when I entered my room, like no fresh air had been let in for years. Opening up the windows helped, but it was noticable everytime I left and came back to the room. Not much a view, but I didn't mind.

Perfect location for all my needs - shows - opera - carnegie hall - safe area - small hotel - did not need all the things lie room service - plenty of restaurants nearby - staff were absolutely fantastic
