We had a nice quiet 2 bed suite with a private bathroom. One room had a double bed and the other, three singles. This was perfect for us as we prefer the children nearby. All staff were very welcoming. The garden next to the stream was lovely and the kids enjoyed watching all the animals being let out in the morning, and stroking the goats and ponies. The old tram/trainline that runs alongside has been turned into a cycling/walking track so would be perfect for cyclists and guests with dogs. It's highly likely we'll stay again.

Pre booked evening meal, there was only one choice and l am MR FUSSY..... 3 courses, all excellent, l probably would not have chosen them from a menu. The breakfast choice was endless, you could never have wanted for more and no rush to get us to leave. The proprietor/chef was very friendly and interactive, the property was a little dated but the overall ambiance and feel was homely. Absolutely love the gardens and animals. Yes we would return, a wonderful family and home... Merci beaucoup Angela and Graham Collins

Don't change the success you have, though finish off the modernisation

Great stop-over to break journey on motorway back to tunnel. Situated by pretty stream and next to disused railway line, now a lovely quiet foot/cycle path following river Loir. Room recently refurbished, spotless new bathroom. Public areas looking tired, but obviously work in progress to update the whole property. The Hosts were absolutely lovely, so friendly and welcoming. Very dog-friendly too. Will definitely visit again.

Really helpful in emails beforehand. Very helpful and friendly when we arrived after a long drive. Very rural and on a walking/cycle track where railway line used to be. On banks of Loire. Brilliant for our dogs to have a run off lead. Bathroom modern and great. They are clearly doing a lot of upgrading work. Bedroom electricity a bit limited. We had a really lovely 3 course dinner in a communal space, but no other diners (mid January!). Good value for 22Euro each. We bought a pleasant local red wine as well. Breakfast was traditional, bread, jam, yoghurt, coffee, cake if you wanted it. The bread at dinner and breakfast was really delicious.

Rooms typical of French rural hotels Clean, basic but adequate for our stay Group of seven had a few drinks and dinner perfect after the drive from the uk. Staff although only speaking a little English and we speaking less French made us very welcome. If the weather had been a little better the outside area would have been very pleasant to sit in for the evening.

Location, surroundings and friendly staff. Breakfast was included but was really just bread, jam, orange juice and yoghurt. Just adequate.

There is obviously a re vamp in progress. The toilet moved when in use. Shower spray went over my head and was not adjustable. No fan available.

The path on the old railway line is brilliant for walking the dogs and a lovely walk along the Loire. It is a very quirky little place. Great for an overnight stop.

Be warned there is only one socket in the bedroom so plan your charging of phones etc.

I loved the location and the room was spacious and they allowed dogs - for a small addition charge. The room was cleaned although the gite itself could do with a little TLC. It was great for a stop off

We really enjoyed staying there, but it wasn’t the first time. We like it very much. The owners are very friendly, the surrounding is super. We’ll come back.

Need to make it clear on the website that it is not Vouvray village, but Vouvray sur Loir We went to the wrong one, as others have done apparently.
