Carl is always friendly and it's great he remembers my dog. Love the pet friendly atmosphere, large grassy area, poo bags, etc. Comfy beds, clean. The rooms are definitely larger than a hotel would have and the prices are exceptionally reasonable. Customers also seem to be friendly and like dogs. Despite the train, we find this to be a very quiet location, it seems to attract quiet guests. We've visited at least four times and although our business in Baker City is done for now, we will miss the motel.

Shower, again, never really got hot. Temperature control buttons broken on AC, I could adjust once I figured out where to poke my finger in, but it's annoying and possibly unsafe. Refrigerator freezer is packed with ice. It's door had fallen off. This is such a convenient amenity to have in the room. It's a shame it's not better maintained. I noted this regarding the same room last month.

Staff is always friendly and helpful. Room clean as usual. It's wonderful to have a place for the dog to run and to have poo bags available if I forget to bring mine. I am always happy to stay here and look forward to doing so again.

I had to request shampoo, etc. posted office hours would be helpful as I needed something prior to check out on Sunday during my last visit and no one was available. The shower temperature control in room 103 is difficult to adjust as the range is very small, but I was certainly able to get a wonderful shower. Although it is in no way broken, it would certainly be more pleasant to have it upgraded.

This is our favourite place to stay when passing through, at least twice a year. Proprietor is very pleasant, the rooms are wonderfully appointed and clean, the property is easily accessible with plenty of parking, and the price point is very reasonable. I’m so glad we gave this motel a “try” years ago!

I really have to think about this. I suppose the ice could have been removed more than it was. The furkid and I were slipping and sliding around the property before settling in for the night. It was a bit worrisome; fortunately, neither of us wiped out.

The price and cleanliness matters to me the most, and both were great. The refrigerator was larger than what I usually get in hotels! Also, I loved that I could park my car right in front of my unit. It was very convenient for unloading/loading, and if you like to keep an eye on your car. The location is not right in the heart of town where the shops & eateries are, but this town is so small that the drive is very brief. The property & its surroundings felt safe for this lone female traveler. It was also peaceful when I was there, although I think I heard a train once.

The bathroom mirror was so high on the wall that I couldn’t see my face in the mirror. The toilet was positioned so that I couldn’t comfortably stand in front of the sink. The photos online do not look like what I experienced in my room, so perhaps it was only my unit that has these features. The only other inconvenience was that, although there was a clothes-hanging bar, there were no hangers, so I had to lay coats & other clothing on the table. I got such a good rate for the room that these things did not bother me too much; I just thought they were odd.

Very quiet and clean. Easy to find, plenty of grass for my dogs to do what they needed to do.

I think $25 per dog is a little high. Especially, since there is no carpet in the rooms. My dogs are small, but even so I wouldn’t think that large dogs would tear things apart. Staff could be a little bit more informative about where the doggy bags are, (they were in the office), even though I had my own, what the Wi-Fi password was, I finally found it on my receipt, but other than that, it’s very basic and no problems.

The staff was great. The room looked like it was nearly renovated and was cute as can be!

The shower was too small. Additionally, neither the shower head or water temperature could be adjusted. I'm short, so the water was constantly on my head. The temp couldn't be adjusted and was exceptionally hot. The combo heater/ac wall unit wasn't working properly. It would only blow hot for 3 min before switching to cold and the fan couldn't be put on auto so it ran continuously. I ended up shutting it off and taking the comforter off the 2nd bed in the room to stay warm.

The location was ideal, close to downtown baker. It was across from the train tracks, which I loved. The sound of trains is nostalgic and not distracting to me at all. The bed was very comfy, with nice linens. This is a basic motel room, which was wonderful. I favor keeping costs down for accommodations when you really only need to sleep and shower. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Stayed here as a snowbird traveling between summer and winter homes for a second time. Clean and comfortable, nice thick towels, refrig/microwave/coffee in room all nice. Good shower--hot and good water pressure and spray and outside busy downtown!

It was fine...not fancy, but taken care of and a very comfortable overnight for me. Seems like the owners take pride in their place.

Great little place with friendly staff and a mellow vibe. The room was ridiculously clean, the beds are some of the most comfortable I've ever slept on and the full-sized fluffy bath towels felt luxurious. What a value, the price was unbeatable. Add their pet friendly atmosphere and call it a win-win!

The heating unit was very loud and probably should be updated at some point. I kept turning it off so I could hear the TV but it was so drafty I couldn't stand the cold breeze.

Remodeled road house, it was fantastic, on my trip to Portland, I stayed here,loved it so much I stayed again on my home, this is not a Hilton or any other expensive properties, I have stayed in a lot of those and would not be afraid to say this Motel is cleaner than any you will find, rooms have a fridge,microwave, it is very quiet, it sits on US Hwy 30 on the east end of town, a couple miles in to Baker City there are grocery stores, and any kind of restaurant a person could want, really nice town.

I can not think of anything that could be improved, it is a super clean, remolded, in expensive,park at your door,quiet, safe place to stay, overnight or longer.
