The 3rd or 4th time staying in this hotel, mostly as a transit hotel to or from ski resorts nearby. We chose it due to the proximity to JR train station and affordable cost. Its money for value when considering the distance, convenience, onsen, acceptable room size. Last stayed before covid. This time, there is a sweet surprise that renovation was conducted for the rooms, which has become more practical (hangers added, some furniture re-arranged to increase space). The lighting system was also changed to digital. One can check from the tv how many people had entered the onsen to decide the right time to enter.

The location was fantastic, since it was close to downtown and the train station. The breakfast was good and checking in was quick.

The water in the public bath was way too hot. I know they're supposed to be hot, but I couldn't get in, and I've been to other hot springs. Parking was not included in the price, it was also across the hotel, according to the staff, for 1000 yen per night, which is expensive, it's better to park further away.

Very good location, on flat near the station, buffet breakfast, free coffee, vending machines, microwave, very helpful staff. There's eateries & food shops close by if preferred those to using the hotel's evening restaurant, not open at weekends.

The location is perfect - 1 minute walking from the train station. The breakfast buffet varies, so you don't get bored of the same options every day. Value for money. A nice little onsen on the top floor.

The internet connection in the room is poor, which I consider a big minus. The hotel management should also consider starting breakfast earlier - a massive queue forms already 15 minutes before the current opening time.

Pretty hard mattresses, although that's a frequent occurrence in Japan. Facilities and rooms slightly dated, but clean and OK overall. Breakfast not bad, but not outstanding. Still overall good value and a good stay.

Staff was nice and I am especially grateful to the staff who served the breakfast, one lady was very kind to assist me with my food restrictions. Also, thanks a lot to the staff for listening to our room preferences. 4. We loved that we could change the temperature in the air conditioner by ourselves.

1. There was no information on allergens during the breakfast and I had to ask staff every time. 2. Very crowded during the breakfast. We were waiting for 15 minutes just to get into the dining hall. 3. There are just 2 elevators for this big number of rooms, so it was always crowded near the elevator and we always had to wait. 4. I wish they had more female amenities, like face cream etc. Everything they had was basic and simple. 5. The walls are thin. Although the staff did great job allocating us to the farthest and most quiet room, we could still hear people slamming the doors and talking in the hallway during the night.

The hotel is so close to the train station, saving us a lot of time travelling around. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of choices to select from. Our room is comfy and quiet, we had good nights of sleep and rest after a long day discovering the surrounding area. Many great restaurants and bars nearby. The public bath is a bonus as well. Staffs are very polite and helpful.

Route inn is always a great option. The rooms are always clean, small and comfortable. The staff were always helpful. Great onsen and breakfast.

Great bang for your budget. Close to Morioka station and include all the basic amenities for you to take a rest on your Tohoku trip. The staff was kind to assist me to dispatch my snowboard back home by courier service. And it includes the great breakfast which is standard for all Route Inn hotels.

Bed is a bit hard.

2nd visit, perfect for anyone needing to use morioka as a base. Super near to station. The bath at the top is perfect when you get in late and want a quick soak. Breakfast is good too!
