We have chosen Domaine Airborne for our place to stay during our D-Day tour. I have to say that as regards atmosphere and getting into the mood, this place is THE place to stay at. History is all over you, literally. The sights on Utah and Omaha beaches, Carentan, St-Mére Église, Azeville etc are within comfortable distance. The staff is absolutely lovely. Special thanks for the packed meals when we left earlier than the breakfast serving would start. What we liked the most was the "Mess" which is a museum in itself. Packed with contemporary memorabilia and the music playing in the background really takes you back in time. If we ever visit Normandy again (and sure hope to do so), we'll definitely stay here again.

This place is so beautiful, peaceful, and respectful to the history of the land around it, but it is also fun for both adults and children. The finish and attention to detail, to each square meter of this establishment, is exceptional. Thank you for such a wonderful end to our day exploring the museums and beaches of Normandy!

Absolutely nothing. It was superb, the only hesitation I have is telling Google how amazing it is, as I fear, I was very lucky to get a booking here and won't get it again! However, I feel it would be an unjustice not to give the fabulous hosts the credit they deserve...

The whole Airborne theme was just as we hoped along with “Carli’s” local & historic WW2 knowledge which definitely helped us enjoy our own personal WW2 Normandy invasion tour to the full. The whole Domaine Airborne was immaculate ! and the breakfast “Anja” provided was fabulous ! Although we only stayed one night we would have happily stayed much longer and hope to in the future especially as we were made so comfortable and there is so much more still to see. A great base for anyone interested in Normandy & the WW2 Jeep tour would definitely be worthwhile ! Tres Bien James , David & Jack

Nothing because it was pitched so well and accurately.

At Domaine Airborne, you not only get a stay, you get an experience. The property has been transformed into military barracks-like lodgings and is full of Normandy artifacts. You get as close to D-Day as you can get. The owners are very nice, serve you a very good breakfast in a perfectly arranged setting that resembles military-style saloons, and they are very easy to engage in a conversation about Normandy and D-Day. We have enjoyed everything very much and would definitely like to come back to continue exploring Normandy, learn of history, and enjoy our time at Domaine Airborne.

This little farm-hotel completely smashed our expectancy for a quick night in the region of Carentan. If you are looking for a quiet and serene stop while visiting the area, this hotel is definitely for you. And bring your family. It's one of the rare spots to offer big rooms or studios to house up to 5 single persons. Our room even had a double shower! Charles, the owner, is a phlegmatic, elegant, charming Dutch man who will go to extents to make your stay pleasant. He also owns a staggering collection of WW2 paraphernalia, which you can enjoy visiting in the comfortable Mess Hall where you will have a delicious and copious breakfast, to the sound of old Doo-Wop era American standards. Charles is very well implicated in organizing WW2 reenactments in the fields behind the barn and has interesting conversation about the subject. In 2008, he purchased the farm with his family and converted this bucolic patch of land into a WW2 remembrance haven, virtually 2 kilometers from Dead Man's Corner and D-Day Experience museum. Some of his collected items were found within the walls of the farm, where Airborne soldiers hid while defending the area against the Germans. We were enchanted to find this place and we are grateful to have met such a kind man along our travels. Do yourself a favor; search no longer. This is the spot.

We booked a family room (the one with three singles) even though it was just three of us traveling because we wanted our adult son to have his own room. The room was spacious with a fabulous bathroom that had two sinks and a huge shower with two shower heads at opposite ends. The site is filled with WWII artifacts, and the host is happy to share the history of the location and area with guests. The breakfast was a nice way to start the day.

The king bed was two twin beds side-by-side, but they had separate duvets which was nice.

Domaine Airborne was in a perfect location and surrounded by history. The room was big, clean and very comfortable. The attention to detail with the period pieces around the property were amazing. Breakfast was a huge bonus and the owner is very friendly and knowledgeable. You can arrange a tour around the area in a Willys however we did not have any free time factored into our itinerary to do this. I hope to be able to experience this during a future visit. Definitely recommend staying here.

We had a lovely stay at Domaine Airborne. We had travelled specifically to see the many D-Day museums and locations and this accomodation was perfectly placed. We loved the theme of the property which was decorated beautifully. We also had the added bonus of enjoying a 2.5hour jeep tour which we both agreed was the highlight of our week. Incredible knowledge of the history of the area.

We were only there for 2 mornings but if we had been staying for longer, a slight variation on breakfast would have been nice.

We went to Domaine Airborne with the expectation that it would be average, but it turned out to be the best experience we’ve ever had. Clean, comfortable, warm, and hosted by an amazing person — it truly takes you back to the times of WWII. We highly recommend taking a jeep tour with the host (better than any museum!). He is full of knowledge about the D-Day landings. We hope it wasn’t our last time there.

We had an amazing stay and a very pleasant experience! The structure is well managed, the owner is a kind and lovely person and the rooms are very beautiful and clean. Breakfast was an amazing experience: they brought us a lot of tasty local food and we had breakfast in a room full of WWII memorabilia, very interesting to look at! Such an unforgettable experience, super recommended!!

Everything was perfect!
