Our room was very spacious, with a large bathroom. The breakfast packs which we received for the mornings we went into the Kruger were delicious. The evening before we departed we had dinner at the lodge - the chef cooked a 3-course meal which was 5-star quality!

The location is superb, the staff even more! The food was amazing, the dinner and the breakfast which was included. The view is perfect, seeing only the nature and you can just walk 30 seconds to the crocodile river where a bench is located. The lodge also organizes game drives themselves which we had (full day game drive with a group of only four people). Further there are many animals coming by, when having dinner outside with all of the lodge guests on one table. So we had the opportunity to connect with the other guests which was a nice experience.
All was perfect.

We have traveled to a lot of places in many countries many of them promise luxury accommodation with great facilities some have kept their promise. But none ,have ever lived up to and gone beyond the promise until now. Kruger Riverside Lodge lived up to everything we were looking for, out of the way but easy to get to and from with a service like I have never ,never had before. Our host Peter and his staff were exceptional, beautifully kept, gracious and friendly staff that never needed asked they read your mind as to your needs with everything you could need at hand but best of all was the home cooked food, it is amazing the smell of which had you salivating as you were welcomed home after your travels . Being keen photographers we were starting out early 5:30 am but a very lovely lunch box was provided for taking on our travels as a replacement for breakfast. Kruger National park entrance being only a short easy drive away made our stay location just perfect. The best I could say is Peter and your staff , Thank you.

The staff was absolutely fantastic. Eversince we arrived we were met at our car and the great service never stopped. Breakfast was very good and you could choose from a wide variety. As a elderly couple we were accommodated at a unit which were very comfortable.
Eventhough everything was fantastic, if i have to point something out, maybe have our matress replaced please.

Everything was perfect, from check in to check out. The staff were super friendly and attentive. The room was very comfortable with everything we needed as well as wildebeest, warthogs, impalas, kudus all turning up outside our bedroom door in the mornings and then chilling next to us in the back garden while we had our evening meal. Location-wise it was very close (10 minute drive) to Kruger's Crocodile Bridge entrance gate. We did 2 organised full day safari's via the lodge and both were amazing, see a whole variety of animals on both days. The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was great, and were given picnic boxes for breakfasts on the safari days (as you set off super early to catch the sunrise). We loved coming back from a day in Kruger to walk 30 seconds out the back door of the lodge and sit on a bench with a beer watching the hippos and other animals in the river. Food each night was varied and filling. Drinks (inc. alcoholic) available to purchase for a low fee. When we come back to Kruger we will definitely stay here again,
Nothing!

The rooms were excellent, with a fancy shower and amazing viewing deck. Our room was very romantic, with Sherry provided and rusks, tea and coffee in the room. the surroundings were stunning with various animals just wandering around and visiting throughout the day. Our car was washed on the day of departure. Breakfast was outstanding every day, really well done. The dinners were well prepared and care was taken, but a little ordinary. All round, just relaxing experience
The entrance to the dining area, is blocked by the receptionist, so when you arrive she has to move out the way. We aren't a fan of open/shared dining areas, when away with my wife I like to focus on us. The hostess could be more proactive in sharing or recommending ideas of things to do during your stay. Like mentioning attractions in the area, Or offering to set up camping chairs at the Kruger fence and filling a cooler box with refreshments for evening sundowners. There were several things that my wife and I discussed that could easily increase revenue and just lift the already great experience, the cherry on top, if you will.

We felt welcomed from the get-go. We were even allowed to borrow their onsite binoculars and a magazine detailing all animal species and a map for our self drive on our first day. Also very flexible when it comes to breakfast and dinner times. Lodge is overseeing the Kruger National Park, so it's a fantastic view. You can hear all kinds of animals throughout the night, which really makes you feel part of the Bush. Some animals also travel through the property, and in the adjacent area, we saw wilderbeasts and a giraffe as well as many antilopes.
Nothing major, but a bit more attention to detail could elevate this property a lot. Printed wifi code was wrong, little holes in the mosquito net, safari tour guide was not as energetic as we're used to in the US, dinner wasn't worth the price, no upfront communication about the best way to get to the property (google maps led multiple guests the wrong way we later learned during dinner, which resulted in driving on rough dirt roads during load shedding for the last 10 min, so quite a stressful arrival).

Extremely nice and attentive staff, very flexible and accommodating. Great location, the room had everything one might need. The food was really good, and the way it was served deserves a separate mention. There is a lot of wildlife coming onto the territory of the lodge - monkeys, impalas, we even saw a giraffe once! It possible to walk to the river and animal-watch from the comfort of the lodge. Such a unique experience!
Everything was great! At first we thought that the territory around the lodge could have been a bit tidier, but then we realised that most likely it is kept as it is for the wildlife.

This was our first stop on our first visit to South Africa. It immediately felt like a ‘home from home’. All the staff are so lovely and welcoming, the lodge is beautiful and the food is delicious. Lynette helped us to organise game drives, a bush walk and bush braai which were all fab. On the days we didn’t do planned activities, I still woke up for sunrise to watch the birds and elephants in the river from the terrace. They even have a pair of binoculars you can use on the terrace, though I recommend bringing your own for safaris. Dinner is served around a big table with the other guests so you can make friends and swap Safari stories (though I believe you can request a private table if you prefer). The tables face out onto a lawn that is regularly visited by Kudu, Bush Buck, Impala and Warthogs. They provided additional towels for the pool and would move the parasols and lounger cushions around… any little detail to make your stay more comfortable. We really really loved it!

The room was amazing and very comfortable. Bed was amazing and coaches with full DSTV was an unexpected treat. staff were very friendly and wanted to please. Made us feel comfortable.
The dinners was really a letdown. Made me think of University dorm style food. The establishment really need to give attention to this, because as much as we loved the rooms, foodies will not be satisfied with the offerings. Breakfast was acceptable, just need to learn how to cook a soft egg. the honesty bar was far from our room and the fridge could not make ice or keep ice from melting.
