I hadnt realised how 'off the map' it was so when I arrived, I wasnt quite sure where to go, but once I had that figured, all was well. Excellent location, so quiet & peaceful, ample car parking, good signage to reception, very welcoming hostess who although didnt speak much English, went to lengths to assist and put me at ease (my apologies for not being able to speak German!). Property was excellently maintained, clean, tidy, well laid out, facilities were excellent, ample sized bedroom with large wardrobes, workstation and easy chair, balcony with fantastic outlook (wish I could have stayed longer to enjoy it!) and well proportioned ensuite (sparkling clean). Outside elevated patio off the main dining room, garden areas with outside pool (if you're brave in autumn) and a wellness facility with sauna etc (didnt try this time but looked very nice). Food was superb and presented very nicely. Buffet breakfast selection was extensive and very tasty - egg & bacon done perfectly! Dining areas were well set out and tables had ample space around them. The hostess and her staff were very pleasant people, suitable attentive but not intrusive.

Well... I hardly like to comment in this section as it is a matter of personal opinion and certainly not a complaint! The bed was comfortable, but a little too hard for me. Likewise, the room and ensuite were nice and warm, but a little too warm for me (better that than too cold though!).

Staff was friendly, hotel and rooms were clean. The bed was comfortable. Very quiet (people and surroundings).

It was very cold in my room when I arrived (the door to the balcony was open). I turned on the radiators in the sleeping room and in the bath room but it took very long until it got warm a little. The one in the bath room needs attention with respect to remove air from the heating system (was burbling). The pillow was "noisy" for a minute at each change of position.
