We very much enjoyed staying for the second time this year in the same house and having the same table allocation for breakfast. Staff were excellent; always both friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was again very good. Otherwise … see my previous review in January 2022.

Some ‘niggles’ this time … even though it is close to the main hotel building, the WiFi in the house is (still) crap! To get good reception, I went and sat in the reception lounge at the spa facility. Certain items missing from the kitchen despite an inventory list that I assume housekeeping are meant to check. e.g. no wine corkscrew/opener … which resulted in an inconvenient visit to the restaurant! And because we ‘ate in’ for dinner this time, we noticed there were no ‘basics’ in the kitchen i.e. salt and pepper, sugar, cooking oil. It really was BYO. One final annoyance … it really is about time to rehang the picture stuck behind the television!! 😉🙏

Holiday house that is clean and comfortable … ideal for our relaxed post Christmas spa holiday. Friendly, helpful staff throughout the property. Excellent quality breakfast buffet. Good solid well managed spa facility.

Usual niggles! Continued communication problems with NYE spa closing hour. No advice from Reception upon arrival of early closing time with website still saying 8pm. Checked with helpful spa staff and advised that, like last year, sauna would close at 6pm. On NYE, we were then told by different staff that spa would now be ‘turned off’ and we must vacate by 5pm! Otherwise, WiFi in the house is still crap … only good in main hotel building; continued issues with table allocation at breakfast … yes, it is a busy time and some guests continue to adopt the beach towel mentality, but …; and there are some maintenance issues with the house that we will address in a separate email to the hotel management.

The breakfast buffet is superb; it really leaves nothing to be desired. The dinner buffet needs to be discussed in a more differentiated way: The selection of appetizers is again superb, including the variety of sopus. About the main course, however, we were less enthusiastic. The meat choice was rather dry, but the sauce helps. There is nothing really attractice for children. While I'd agree that children should eat what is available, it doesn't help when they are complaining every evening that they don't like the food and just go for the desert (which is, again, nice with a selection of sweets and cheese.) The staff is usually attentive, but waiting next to be till I have actually finished the plate is overdoing it a little. The pool area is nice and fun for the kids.

We didn't know that the vacation houses have cold stone floor, so bring warm socks or you will have cold feet. Overall, the dinner buffet is pricey considering the main courses (but the appetizer buffer makes up for it).

The vacation home we got was extremely clean, staff were very friendly and helpful even though some did not speak English gladly. We were treated very kindly and had a great experience. The facilities such as the gym and the swimming pool and beauty services were also well organised. Wish we had stayed longer. Maybe next time.

The only thing that could be improved is the decor and furniture in the vacation houses as it is very old-fashioned and the couches had some old stains on them that were a little off-putting. Pillows were also uncomfortably thin.

This was our third time here. As before, we booked a house - very comfortable and cozy with the new heating system; staff were very helpful and efficient; buffet breakfast was again very good; gym and sports/spa facilities enjoyable. Overall, despite some niggles (see below), it was a relaxing five night stay across New Year. P.S. Special appreciation due to the Director for locating a pair of favourite shoes left behind in our house and arranging to forward them to us!

Wifi is still crap in the house. You have to go to the main building to get any decent connection. Niggles …. some poor communication on the closing time for spa facility for NYE with website saying 8pm (details obtained via QR code on fact sheet provided at check in) … but we were ‘chucked out’ of sauna at 5:45pm for a 6pm close. Problems with table allocation at breakfast even though we had booked our “usual table” weeks before our arrival. Finally, an irritation … despite my comment last time, the picture behind the television has still not been rehung (see pic).

Staff was very helpful and friendly. Area was nice and wide but it means also that many people were in the main building mainly during breakfast and dinners. Room was nice reconstructed except the bathroom, that was pretty small and didn't fit the concept of the room but still OK. Seating outside on terrace was great in the sunny days. Any wish was fulfilled - electric kettle, another pillow, even we got keys from garage to store motorbike.

The SPA area was OK even for sport hotel I was expecting bigger area mainly pool and sauna. There were many kids so we didn't have a chance to go swimming ( but ok, we were there during school holidays, but anyway). I had also massage and the lady had veeery cold hands all the time so I didn't enjoyed it so much. They didn't clean the room properly, we stayed 6 nights and probably the room was never vacuumed.

- The location - The deluxe suites are very trendy and comfortable. - The children liked the outdoor playground, the swimming pool and the mini golf. - The restaurant works basically all day.

- No elevator - The hotel charges you some fees for the baby cot and for placing sheets on the extendable sofa.

The domain including its facilities we're outstanding. Lots of space and privacy in the Ferienhausen. The facilities were divers and entertaining (swimming pool, wellness, mini golf, tennis) and the service meticulous from breakfast till dinner. We had an absolute blast discovering the Mosel area.

We couldn't stay longer and the weather wasn't the best. Two things Grafenwald can't do anything about!

Location was great. Room/Suite was amazing. Service was great. Amazing breakfast. Very nice area in the mid of nature. Lots of activities. Nice spa options and pool.

Envening buffet was a little high in price for the food options available.

The location is nice close to the woods (up a rather steep incline). There are some cottages with nice views and there are good facilities for out-door activity. Breakfast was good. The pool was nice for kids and the sauna/wellness area was also nice. The cottages are quite spacious and were warm during a cold-spell.

All the facilities (breakfast room, wellness area, reception etc) were small considering the number of people who can stay in the hotel and the surrounding holiday-cottages. At full frequency, staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. The lay-out as a holiday-park plus hotel was not so clear from the profile on booking. There was a stupid system that at 11.00 on the day of departure, the key-cards were automatically not allowing entry to the cottage anymore, which meant we (like many other people) had to go back to reception, wait to ask for the card to be re-programmed, to the retrieve our luggage. The cottage-design is a bit dated and the kitchens/bathrooms felt quite old-fashioned in terms of design (but everything worked very well)
