The Managers Ava & Anthony were fantastic and were able to a great job fixing the dangerous window that almost fell on my wife because it was on an insecure track . They saved the owned from possible legal action in the future by having all windows fixed to an acceptable standard.

The fantastic Managers who had only been there three weeks managed to deal with difficult guests who had obviously caused problems before.It had a reputation as a motel with difficult guests but these guys have helped address this and restore confidence!

Room was spacious, clean and almost had everything necessary for a comfortable short term stay. The location is within walking distance of most things we needed to do. The managers were very friendly and attentive to resolving some of the small issues we encountered.

Provisions within the room could have been commensurate with the quantity of people staying in the room (eg soap, shampoo, bedside tables).

The motel was close in to town so it was easy to walk to some of the sights. There was a lot of traffic passing on the main road but we heard nothing. After many places with poor or non -existant wifi it was great to have good wifi.

The rubbish bin was tiny, smaller than many you find in bathrooms. I mentioned this when we left and they said they would have to consider this.

Ant & Amber were fabulous hosts. We were made to feel like one of the family. They had recently taken over the Management of the Motel & were very friendly, accommodating & efficient in their role. The Motel was clean, tidy, with all the amenities you need to enjoy your stay. Great location. Walking distance to the supermarket & cbd. Highly recommend … we will be back !

Central Point Motel is a basic, clean and centrally located accommodation two minutes walk from Mount Isa outback discovery Centre and five minutes from the centre of town. It was quiet and provided basic self catering facilities of microwave toaster kettle fridge a few plates and some cutlery.

It’s a bit frayed around the edges, but nothing super negative to report.

Close to main shopping and food precinct. Had a pool. Staff friendly. Small kitchen with microwave and sufficient crockery etc. Fresh water supplied for kettle. Small but sufficient and friendly rooms.

Sheets very wrinkled, pillow case smelled like last person who stayed. Not sure that they were changed before my stay. Lovely teal coloured new towels but they had not been laundered and the dye came out of them and the face washer. Was great that there was kitchen cloth and t towel, but they looked unclean. These things really need attention. Didn't meet expections in these areas.

The location was ideal, across the road from the Tourist Information Centre and the hub of many exhibitions attractions and tours. It was also very quiet and comfortable for a solo traveller. The managers were lovely and enabled me an early check in as I arrived in Mt Isa around 11am. No problem minding my bag for the day before I flew out.

The location was excellent within walking distance of town & Tourist Information.It was a clean and cheerful room. The owner was very kind and courteous. The room facilities - microwave etc were spotless.I highly recommend this motel.

I didn’t like that the powerpoint for the microwave and fan were a bit too far up the wall to reach. If you’re a short person (like me) I had to stand on a chair to reach it. That is pretty dangerous too if you’re an older person.

Very comfortable, neat and tidy and close to shops and places to eat for people with no transport!

Needs a small clothes line rather than use driers when good drying weather, and cold water in fridge on arrival.
