I tried this hotel cause DB had terrible delay and I'd did right. Hotel has nice bit Bayerische look. Floors creak a little and it looks a little spooky like something out of movie. I ordered good breakfast and than directly went to Hexen Wald. This hotel can be good point if you want spend few days from the your vacation here and travel around on a bycicle. Is located outside of the city just next to a road, but it is not noisy. Wifi is faster enough. I recomend him.

Bit soft bed for someone with 193cm/110kg but still fine.

Parking perfect, allowed us in early with little warning, very friendly welcome on arrival, WiFi very good , everyone friendly and helpful, beds just right. Excellent bar / restaurant just around the corner . Breakfast at time we chose, very good with delicious coffee , rolls butter and plenty more : ham, eggs , honey etc.

We wish we had found this hotel years ago as in great location for our journey.

Just what we needed. We were on the way from Munich back to England and we wanted to stop so no need to travel so long in one go. We needed a place to sleep at and being able to shower, oh and park our car. Thank you.

Great value for money. Good location to drive to lots of nearby hiking trails. Good choice of restaurants in Pirmasens (although hotel is quite a long way out of the centre) - quite a lot of the other (smaller) towns in the area have limited restaurant availability.

Rooms are very dated and could do with some modernisation. No air conditioning (but didn’t need it as it wasn’t that hot).

Lovely old Hotel with fabulous furnishings, ample parking and helpful and friendly staff.

Bathroom was a little dated, but perfectly clean and functional and a good size.

Nicely located if you are on hiking trip in the area Shopping village at 15min Place to park The city is only 5min drive by car

The church bell... ringing all night long at round hours....in the morning every 15min ... if you are light sleeper bring earplugs:)

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful and secured us a late night meal which we were in need of!

It' advertises a restaurant. However this isn't open for evening meals, and we had to taxi to a restaurant for food. Disappointed when the advert says it has a restaurant

The gentleman on reception was kind, helpful, and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Danke schönn! The price was fair for a last minute booking, and a place to bed down. The builing has some old character about it and a few nice historical touchs inside.

I can tell this is an old building and meant for budget travel, also may be struggling to compete with other near by hotels. It was empty aside from ourselves and another guest, I think a travelling engineer. Although the beds were comfy especially after a 12 hour drive the cleanliness, especially the toilet, leave a lot to be desired. Very old urine stains and encrusted filth on the toilet seat, the floors and doors especially creaky, and a lingering cigarette smell through out the building. The hotel is showing it age with the interior floors, pain, furniture, and exterior facias, gutterings, doors and window surrounds. The location is not good for dining, especially later in an evening. I want to give aa better review as the gentleman on reception was great but the old bones of the hotel are showing and it needs some love and attention.
