We have stayed at this B&B several times now on our way to the UK (and back) and every time we like it better 😉 During our last stay something special happened: Our teenage son forgot his expensive gaming console under the bedsheets when we left in the morning - but he only noticed his mistake the same evening (when we checked in to the next hotel - which was now 600 miles away, of course). Naturally, he was devastated and thought he'd never get it back, so I immediately wrote an email to B&B customer service (on a Saturday evening!) and called the reception desk in Verdun at the same time. What can I say: I have never witnessed a nicer (and quicker) way of dealing with a forgotten object in a hotel room. L****, the incredibly friendly lady at the reception desk in the morning, responded barely 15mins after my initial call and told us that my son's gaming console had been found by cleaning staff and will be sent to our home address as quick as possible. And yes, it arrived safe (and perfectly packaged!) today - just a week after our stay. Honestly, this is a guest service I could have expected from a fancy 5* hotel but not from a budget B&B. What an absolutely excellent guest service from the hotel staff in Verdun! I can't thank their team enough. Apart from that, this B&B in Verdun is one of the best of the B&B hotel chain (I know quite some of them): Plenty of safe parking right in front of the hotel, there's a supermarket 3mins away, it has a nice outside sitting area where you can enjoy local beers from the fridge in the reception - and: the breakfast is surprisingly good. Plus: clean rooms (constantly over the years).

We used the B&B for a stopover, and to be able to visit the Verdun Memorial in the morning. It has a very convenient location, and it is also quiet and clean. We'll certainly revisit the place when we pass the area again. There was enough space in the room for the three of us. There is enclosed, secure parking space, and a nice steak place just outside the hotel, so we could get some supper. Breakfast was tasty and filling. We loved the cheeses and the coffee! The only surprise was when we left our luggage in the rooms before check-out, and came back to fetch it, our electronic door key was already invalid. That was quickly rectified by a pleasant staff member, so altogether we had a very good stay.

It was ideally situated. The receptionist was very efficient and helpful despite our language differences. Our room was comfortable and clean. The shower and toilet area were spotless and well stocked with soap and towels. Breakfast was ample and plenty of nice things to eat. Just 50 meters up from the hotel was a Buffalo Grill that served amazing food and drinks.

I have nothing bad to say about this property.

Great location right off the highway for a quick overnight stay. They had a baby cot available immediately with fresh linens. The room was big enough for my family and our dogs. I really liked the addition on the window for a dark shade. it had a lawn for walking dogs. and the price for dogs was so reasonable I was shocked. customer service was fine: one attendant who attempted to speak English to us. We travel quite a lot (over 40 countries) and are use to fumbling through the check in, he was hospitable enough. overall the reviews don’t do it justice! it deserves more.

my only complaint was no lift. we were on the third floor with baby and two dogs, (I should’ve checked prior to) the breakfast was okay. European usual.

Clean room and bathroom. Good to have air conditioning, close to the motorway. Decent basic breakfast. Comfortable beds, despite being quite firm we slept very well on them.

The check in was a bit stressful because the confirmation code took a while to come through in email. But it was all good, I took a photo of the screen as I paid so we didn’t have to wait.

Reception staff only available peak times. Access by punching in booking number didn't work. Fortunately reception opened & we were able to book in with a person. Once booked in, access via punching in room code number. On arrival after a meal out (not late) none of our 5 room codes worked, neither did those of a couple of other guests who tried. Fortunately a guest on the inside spotted the increasingly large group outside, & let us in. Access was a major downside to this hotel

Good basic clean room, everything was clean and tidy and was quite comfortable. Sheets were fresh and clean. Parking was great and there is a restaurant next door.

The breakfast was missing eggs. Only hot food was bacon and beans whereas it should have been bacon and egg. Breakfast area was good though and was very clean. The rest if the continental was standard and was fine. Another suggestion is have a pot of coffee instead of the coffee machine. There was no lift.

Staff were friendly. Room & hotel were clean it was well situated in terms of supplies from supermarkets ie Lidl carrefour & intermarriage. Well situated for visiting WW1 battle sights which is why we were visiting. The breakfast was good, the hotel reasonably priced.

Hotel didn't offer USB sockets which are a must now when travelling.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean room. Quiet. Nice decor. Very easy to check in. Good breakfast. Secure parking with plenty of spaces. There's a restaurant close by in walking distance. Great place for the price. I can recommend this hotel.

It's a bit basic for a longer stay as the rooms are a little narrow and there isn't much space to put things. No elevator. No coffee making facilities in the room but there's a vending machine in the reception. But overall it's a good place and I will stay there again.

Quite nice standard budget hotel close to the battlefields of Verdun, which was the reason for my visit. Professional staff. The rooms are good sized for the price and and equipped with a large bed an everything you need, if you are just sleeping there. Plenty of free parking is available.
