Breakfast was amazing. Coffee was made for us and brought to our table. Was a very nice gesture. The rest we grabbed a bit of everything, the bread was still warm and crispy. The croissants also were divine. The hotel has a unique charm. The check-in was the best I've ever had. Very flexible. We arrived a bit late and our room key was placed in a letterbox outside of the hotel, with a pin code that was sent to us previously.

We needed an electric kettle and it wasn't in our room when we arrived, but we found it in a pantry downstairs. At 11pm there was nobody at the reception or elsewhere, so we were a bit awkward exploring the hotel, but it felt like an adventure since the hotel is gorgeous and if we come back to Suhr, we will absolutely stay there again.

This is a really nice hotel. The old building looks really impressive and the room was of a good size and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good. The remote check in was very easy with a code for the night door. The room was clean and functional. The hotel is perfect for a short stay like ours.

There really is nothing to do in Suhr which cannot be described as a particularly attractive place. Nevertheless there is a reliable train service into Aarau, a journey of about 5 or 6 minutes.

This is a nice hotel just south of Aarau. The hotel has ample free parking and is close to several good restaurants and the train station. Rooms were just the right size. Water temperature and pressure was some of the best we have encountered. Breakfast was continental-style. The staff did not speak English, but we managed. No elevators.

Easy to find. Free parking. Self check-in using code emailed to us so very easy. Old fashioned room with lots of pine furniture, but clean, comfortable bed and plenty of hot water. Good breakfast with warm fresh bread, crossiants, yoghurt, cheese, eggs and coffee. No fresh fruit and the coffee wasn't great. Didn't meet any staff until breakfast but they were friendly once we saw them! Mainly peaceful location but be aware there are church bells going until late and very early.

No air con but had a fan supplied, room was very hot and stuffy, as we only had a small window.

Fantastic building and location. Decent rooms and parking, easy check in. Breakfast was decent for the price, overall would come back 100%. Restaurant below has been closed for a while it seems which was a shame but there's a few around to choose from.

Seemed really warm but a fan was supplied. Bathroom towel radiator valve was not usable so on most of the time.

The breakfast was nice. The property is a short walk+train/bus ride away from Aarau, it's a good place from which you can explore the town. Nice old-fashioned wooden rooms, comfy beds

not much, it's a nice place for a stopover and if you plan to go to Aarau or other surrounding locations

After a very disappointing start and complaint we were upgraded to the top floor suite which was acceptable.

Lacked a lot of tlc and maintenance, description needs updating as the whole of the ground floor unused for quite a few years therefore no bar, restaurant or on site shop.

Easy self check-in late in the evening. Private parking right next to the entrance. Beautiful, spacious room with a very comfortable bed. Surprisingly quiet - did not hear any traffic noise or other guests. Good and varied breakfast in the morning.

Located in the centre of a small town, easy check-in, kind host, good breakfast, large parking lot.

A little bit of noise from outside for rooms with windows to the street

The old world feel resonated with us. It touched my German roots as well as my wife’s Swiss roots. The lady who looked after us while there did an excellent job. And the breakfast was right on.
