A stuff was really kind. We had to buy tickets for Nilgiri railway, so we needed to get the station at 4am according to online article and a station master. As I said, a hotel staff arranged an auto for Mettupalayam railway station even in early morning! (He had it booked in the last evening.) Unfortunately, we ware not able to get tickets, but we got to Ooty by bus and Nilgiri railway from Coonoor. It was still nice since we arrived at Ooty earlier by 3hours than all Nilgiri railway from Mettupalayam.

This is a modern style hotel. Fine for an overnight stop. Comfortable, clean, quiet. Helpful staff. Somebody there 24/7 ... but you may have to wake them early morning as we did! Don't think there was anybody else there but us. On the map it looks like it's isolated but it's not. Short walk to local restaurant but english there was sparse. Go the dosas. Impressive. Nearby the restaurant one of the best presented bulk dried fruit & nut shops I have ever seen. Photo below.

More choice of restaurants. We were too tired so went the easy one nearby. No regrets but no choice either.

Second time booking this hotel as its at the most convenient location near to the railway station, as well as other shops. All day food is available opposite from the hotel is a small little eating joint. The rooms were cleaned time to time, and this time the balcony was boxed up with glass windows, so now able to open the balcony door and enjoy the view without having to worrying about the aircon coolness running out. The staff at this hotel are very friendly and helpful as usual. Will definitely not hesitate to book this place again.

Towels needs a change, quite worn out. Bathroom door handles need some maintenance. The switches in the room need some labeling, as its abit complicated at times. It would also be good if a little breakfast is provided at the hotel, during non-peak periods as well. As I had enjoyed the breakfast the last trip. Overall, a very good, clean, value for money hotel.

Great modern Hotel on the Edge of Mettu. Large rooms , welcoming staff. Great wifi aircon. Very clean. High quality restaurants and shops easy 5min walk away. We were allowed to store our clean bicycles in the room which let us sleep easy.

No restaurant... but it didnt really matter as a couple of good restaurants very close by. The hotel location on Booking.com is incorrect by about 2km and the locals call the place "Hotel Three Stars" so we had a slight problem finding you. Google maps is correct in location.

The room with balcony has superb views of the mountains, and it's a good place to chill in the evenings. The staff cleaned the room immediately when requested, though mopping it would be good too, instd of just sweeping it. Breakfast at the hotel made by the 2 hotel in-charge was absolutely delicious! Such a good effort by the staff.. The staff at the hotel was very welcoming and accommodating. They even got a car to take us back to the airport and also helped us to flag down an auto when needed. I had some lovely chats with all of them. Very nice homely people. The hotel itself is on the Ooty Highway, and vry near to the train station tt has the ooty toy train. Opposite to the hotel is a small open restaurant that sells lovely prata, thosai, biryani and iced Goli Soda! So convenient to get lunch or dinner.. Down the road there is a mini Bird Park, and furthur down a famous veg restaurant. So quite a good location. Overall, we had a good stay at the hotel. Will be back there, if we make a trip to Coimbatore again. Thanks to the lovely staff who made our stay so pleasant & wonderful.

Just a few suggestions.. A couple of plastic chairs and a small table placed at the balcony would be nice. Bedsheets need to changed as they have alot of "furry" bits on them as its worn out.. So a little uncomfortable and rough when sleeping under the covers. The dining area could be improved by adding tables so that people can sit comfortably and have their breakfast, as there were onli chairs along the wall available. My bathroom door and one of the switch sockets were coming out of its sockets, so some maintenance is required.

Room cleanliness - I was looking for a decent accomodation near Mettupalayam train station. But EMS hotel didn't have any room and other hotels were notorious for roaches. As this hotel is new, at least I could escape from bugs and have pleasant stay. Breakfast is available at the nearby local food restaurant.

Location - I knew it, however, it's 4km away from the train station. Uber did not timely work, it is recommended to ask for auto rikshaw at the reception, but it costs Rs200 for a trip to the station. Room rate - it is relatively high. I was also charged extra about Rs 1000 which was "comission" for booking.com, but it looks the amount is higher than "taxes" described in the confirmation email.

Room was exactly as pictured and described on Booking. Hotel is in a nice quiet area, with great views of the mountains. Bed was comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. Staff were very helpful, giving us recommendations of where to eat within walking distance and arranging an auto to take us to the train station for 04.30 in the morning to try to get a ticket for the train to Ooty.

Didn't have enough time to fully enjoy the hotel (only there for 1 night). An outdoor seating area would have been nice to fully enjoy the amazing views.

The staff was helpful and sorted a rickshaw to take us to the train station. The room was comfortable.

The power kept coming on and off every 5min, even during the night, resetting the electronic appliances which would beep or flsh light. The sheets were stained.

This hotel was spotless, the room was large and comfortable, the bathroom well appointed. Super view from our balcony. Just 100m along the road is a group of shops and restaurants where we were able to get a great meal and buy dried fruit and spices very reasonably. This hotel is outside the main town centre, but easily reached by local transport. We were not disturbed by traffic noise.The staff were helpful, arranging an early morning taxi for us.

Clean, comfortable room with helpful staff who helped us book a tuk tuk to Mettupalayam station for the toy train.

Fairly far from Mettupalayam and limited restaurants nearby (although staff were very helpful and gave us a hand with ordering food on Zomato).
