Location was perfect for our needs. I was able to get items I needed that I couldn't bring on our flight, at the local stores. Staff was very polite and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and the the lady that was keeping everything filled was so sweet! Very nice room and was very clean.

Parking is very limited and we were anxious about not having a spot at the end of the day. Had the hotel been full, it would have been an issue. I asked for two extra coffee pods, two days in a row, and was told there wasn't any. Housekeeping didn't refill either. We actually took coffee from the urn the night before, to reheat in the morning, so we didn't have to go to the lobby first thing. (we are not morning people lol)

Everything was fab! Neat, clean, tasteful, modern, comfy. This hotel was an unexpected delight, esp. compared to some of the dated & frumpy places we have stayed in recently at great cost... The room was clean & comfortable, the linen, bed & bathroom all very good. The breakfast was simple, but excellent. The staff were amazing. Thank you.

The view was a bit disappointing. Was hoping to be able to see the river from the 3rd floor, but our room looked out over a parking lot.

Breakfast was OK, nothing fancy to be sure, but nothing bad either. The room was very comfortable and had everything you'd expect.

The bed was not redone after the 1st day (we were there 2 nights), although the towels in the bathroom were changed.

The breakfast was incredible. The lady in charge of that always kept the items filled and delicious . The front desk staff were always friendly and working hard to please us and take care of our needs.

Convenient location, clean and well taken care of. And the staff was absolutely amazing, all the way from the front desk to the woman taking care of breakfast and everyone in between. Absolutely wonderful.

Not a ton of parking

Very clean all around. Comfortable surroundings. Good location.

Microwave didn’t work. Very low water pressure in shower. Freezing cold pool.

The room I booked was not the room I received. I booked a king size bed through booking.com and when I checked in it was not available.

The breakfast was good, location was great, pool was clean, had a good workout area although I didn’t use it. We stayed here to go to the starved rock state park and it was a fair location from there. Rooms are nice and big and the beds are very comfortable. My friend and I asked for a extra pillow and we were given two extra pillows. Tons of food options, grocery stores, gas stations and I-80 nearby. Hotel is in a great condition and I would come back here if I ever came to this state park!

There was some glumps of hair in the pool when we were in it on Saturday, but other than that everything was good about this trip.

Room was clean. This new Holiday Inn Express looks and feels very new. We were concerned that our car might get broken into, but nothing even remotely like that happened.

We miss the cinnamon rolls. Are those not a thing anymore at Holiday Inn Express? One of the cartons of chocolate milk we grabbed was four days expired! Room 417, specifically: there was a very strong perfumey smell. Are all of the rooms like that? Finally, the 24/7 fitness center was not open Monday (9/19/2022) morning.
